This was my favorite of all the childbirth books I read. Do you know how women are always telling their childbirth stories to one another? In any group of women, eventually this is one of the things we have to share about ourselves. This is a book of childbirth stories across time & history, and I found it fascinating.

I was absolutely convinced at one point that I would be a midwife and so I read lots of childbirth stories. This is a beautiful compendium of both happy and horror stories. Very vulnerable.

This book contains many interesting facts about childbirth in different cultures and countries. I found the short essays to be incredibly interesting as I am a mother of 3 grown children and would recommend it to any mothers-to-be! :)
