I have been so please that we switched several kids to Math U See this year and plan to switch our whole homeschool to Math U See for the upcoming school year. The price had been a key reason I had waited to try this program, but I am so glad we made the switch and have found all the pieces to the program to be beneficial!

Each level is about 30 lessons long with multiple worksheets, review sheets, a fun activity sheet and test per lesson. I really like this design, as it prevents the feeling of needing to do a lesson per day, or the teaching of concepts with little future review to keep skills sharp. The video instruction has been helpful to explain concepts to kids and to be done semi-independently while I work with other students, and the instructor does a great job of explaining how to "see the mathematical" concepts. When a concept needs to be explored further, I enjoy that the teachers manual also provides additional information on the lesson as well as the answers to all worksheets.

With Math U See, a student can progress as quickly or slowly as needed through the lessons/books and will get a good understanding of the concepts through the instruction and application. The manipulatives are easy to use and are helpful in teaching mathematical concepts for all styles of learning.

I wish single digits and double digits was not broken into 2 years. Wolfie needs something more rigorous and finds the manipulatives more distracting than helpful but any curriculum I move him to at this point expects him to have had double digit instruction. Sink another year into math u see or move on and hope for the best?

Excellent program. We like the clear explanation of math concepts, spiral and especially the kinesthetic connection. We were so impressed with the introduction of algebra and geometry to teach addition. Brilliant!

Note: This student workbook is a consumable, so each student will need their own copy.
