I'm a support worker for intellectually disabled adults with severe communication deficits.

This book set me on the path of effectively supporting my clients to communicate.
Before I read it, I knew the need but had no real idea of the means.

Invaluable for anyone working in the intellectual disability industry within a positive behaviour support framework. We constantly hear about PBS, we are trained in reactive strategies and given PBS plans written with our input.

But we are given little or no training in AAC methods or their implementation, despite the fact that the majority of challenging behaviours are caused by an inability to communicate.
