I live and write in eastern Canada. I went to a bunch of schools, learned a lot of things, and now make stuff up because not to do so is unthinkable. I'm fond of fountain pens, Levenger's Circa system, and Steampunk fashions. I'm inspired by the day to day minutia of life, and find beauty in the way words go together. I like texture and richness of experience. I'm not shy. I'm happy, I'm learning, I'm living.
This one takes place shortly after the events of Bareback and like the other short stories it's not crucial to the main story line of the books but it's a good glimpse into the relationship and personalities of these two men. Seeing Is Believing shows us a bit of Jakes insecurity about himself and Tor's desire to have Jake see what he does during their most intimate moments. Originally I had given this short story 3 stars but upon re-reading it I find it is definitely one of my favs and having a bit more depth to it I bumped it up to 4 stars.
Wow!!! What an amazing short story!! It's rare to read a short story that I'd rate as 5 stars, but this is one of them. It was full of emotion, it was steamy, and it was full of love. Tor and Jake are just a beautiful couple, and I love how Tor is so in tune with Jake, and how he looks at Jake and sees such beauty there standing before his eyes. Simply beautiful...
