I am really getting into this and really enjoying this manga. The story is full of twists and turns and it gets much darker as you go along including some things that quite shook me in a moral sense. The only thing I don't like is that this is a little rushed, but the characters are developing really well alongside the storyline and I'm enjoying seeing how they change and how the events are affecting them. They seem very real to life and have very realistic moments which makes this all the more intriguing. Again, it's a shame it seems to have been rushed through three volumes, but I'm still really intrigued to see how this shapes out and ends.
This jumps right into the heart of the action. If I had read this years back, I would have said the racism displayed by the antagonists in this story was cartoonish and unrealistic, but these days I can say that it’s sadly true to the motivations of real individuals in power. I loved the exploration of the ship being a metaphor for the world and the people in it, of different races/classes/cultures, and how the antagonists are using that to manipulate people and get what they want. I loved how the ship is used as a battleground between the killer and the crime family, and how everybody else on the ship is caught in the crossfire. This is such an interesting story and I’m glad that it won’t be dragged out longer than it needs. This might be the shortest manga I’ve ever read but I’m excited to see how the writer chooses to wrap up the story.
Definitely picked up from the first volume. The tables have turned in this on and it definitely shows the thought process of sociopaths and the affect they can have on people with little to no proof.
Why did he take a shot at my wonderful, beloved, amazing, innocent Yoshiko.... The second volume is much better than the first, the manga has completely absorbed me!
