I found this fourth of the series to be a delightfully fun read with laugh out loud moments, especially with the meddling older ladies' friends' group, the Bosom Buddies (BB's). Olivia is the only one of the younger group of girlfriends that is not married, and she feels left out at times. She does love her life as head librarian and her routine but admits to herself that she is in a rut the size of the Grand Canyon. When she and her best friend Anita's brother Kingston have a chance meeting at a movie, sparks fly. They planned to have a date, but Kingston dropped the ball because of his busy schedule. Twice. A year later and they meet again and there are sparks of anger on Olivia's part. Olivia's Aunt Bea, Kingston's mom, and the BB's come up with a plan to get them together. What a mess! There is certainly a lot of work to be done for that to happen. A side romance for one the BB's comes up too. Sweet romance and HEA. I highly recommend this one and the whole series. I received a copy for the purpose of an honest review.

Two to Tango is fourth and final book in the Maple Falls series that takes place in Arkansas. I believe this last book is my favorite in the series. The chemistry between Kingston and Olivia was there was the beginning but because of Kingston overtaxed schedule as a pediatrician he messed things up with her by ghosting her two different times. After the first time he ghosted her she decided to give him a second chance but he blew that chance. Fast forward a year later the older ladies and his overbearing mother could see the "chemistry" there and schemed to get them together but Olvia is twice bitten so it is not going to be easy for her to forgive him. This book had me laughing with the antics of the older ladies. If a book can manage to bring a smile to my face that's an added bonus to me. Also, there is an additonal romance in the book of two of the older characters in ths book. I really thororoughly enjoyed this book and hope the author writes more contemporary romance books.

A workaholic doctor and a soft-spoken librarian get a second chance at making a connection in this sweet Maple Falls Romance.
An enjoyable read from beginning to end with a full cast of new and familiar characters, I loved the BB's matchmaking schemes. Olivia is a quiet and more introverted soul, and I loved how her aunt challenged her to get out of her comfort zone. Meanwhile Kingston, is a busy man who needed to learn about over committing himself and taking time to re-charge. They have a wonderful group of friends around them.
My favorite part of the story was probably Irma and Jasper through, with their banter and unlikely friendship.
Overall, the perfect book to unwind with, sweet and heartwarming with characters that are easy to love. Highly engaging and entertaining, Kathleen Fuller has again shown why she is my go-to author for a relaxing read full of humor, faith, and heart.

This is a story about Olivia and Kingston. Olivia works at the library and just lives her life with not much going on. It is always the same, but she doesn’t really do anything to change that. She goes to the cinema once a week, orders a coke, watches an old movie and then goes home. Never stray from the routine. Doesn’t even think about it. Kingston, a pediatrician, seems equally dull. He likes to sometimes spend time visiting the cinema but most of the time arrives late, due to the fact that he has such a busy career. He works all the time! After five years of the same monthly routine of visiting the cinema by her own (!) Olivia is surprised to find Kingston there as well and they decide to watch the movie together. A great opportunity to make something of this plot, but for me it went downhill from there. They have known each other for ages but suddenly feel tinglings, sitting next to each other, out of the blue. Next they apparently are kissing and I found myself checking what I’d missed, because ehhh what just happened?! But yep, they are kissing. Out of the blue. Kingston then asks her out on an actual date but never calls her. When he meets her months later, the same thing happens! He says she’s special, they are a perfect fit together, he will call her, they kiss and he never calls. What a jerk! I wouldn’t spend a second of my time and energy on a guy who stood me up twice! If I’m not important enough for you to just contact me, then don’t expect me to sit around and wait for you. Enough guys who respect you enough to make the effort.

I've really enjoyed this series, so I was looking forward to this book. Unfortunately, just pages in, the two main characters get pretty overly physical with each other for a pseudo-first date, especially in inspirational fiction, so I quit reading it. I was really disappointed to see this, but sadly, this is the direction Thomas Nelson seems to be taking. We live in an era where we have to careful and discerning even with "faith-based" fiction.

I read this as an ARC from Thomas Nelson and Netgalley. I have read the rest of the series and was really excited for this one! I absolutely loved this story and the slow romance that occurred in it. I loved that there were different themes about finding life balance, prioritizing what is important and following one’s heart. Definitely look forward to more from Kathleen Fuller.

OK, this was just stinking adorable. How can you not live all of these characters? It did start off a bit steamy, but it was only setting us up for the rest of the story. It certainly didn't go the way I expected initially, and the same is true for the main characters.
I liked Olivia's dedication to her job & friends and her mom was reminiscent of Sheldon from Big Bang Theory. Kingston, while dedicated to his job, was a bit hard to forgive a couple of times, but Olivia is a bigger "person" than I am.
All of the side characters really made this story absolutely delightful!

Two to Tango is the 4th and final book in the Maple Falls series. Each book is the romance of one of a group of friends. This book features Olivia Farnsworth, the town's librarian. Olivia has no plans for romance and likes spending time with her friends, her Aunt Bea and watching vintage movies. Kingston Bedford, is her best friend's older brother. He is the local pediatrician, who is so busy that his patient care is suffering. Olivia and Kingston have history, they had a wonderful night a few years earlier at her Anita's wedding then he ghosted her. She wants nothing to do with him, but her Aunt Bea and her buddies as well as Olivia's friends have other plans. Kingston is dealing with his own issues, after being forced to take a two month sabbatical and get his life in order. Will they be able to resist the chemistry that they have?
I enjoyed being back in Maple Falls, especially Aunt Bea and her friends, the BBs, that want to see all the young women happy and married. Kingston was a noble character, that had a terrible time saying no. He wanted to help everyone and was juggling so many balls, that some were going to fall. One thing was his relationship with Olivia that fell by the wayside twice before. Olivia is in a rut, fighting her feelings for Kingston, especially after being dropped twice because he was too busy for a relationship. As they begin to spend time together and find out that they have lots in common and can make a relationship work, they finally give in. This is a sweet, contemporary romance that brings this group of friends full circle with all of them finding their special someone. Lauren Berst narrated this story and does a nice job with the voices, expression pacing and story. If you enjoy a good, clean, sweet romance, then pick up Two to Tango or any of the books in The Maple Falls series.

Two to Tango is the fourth book in the Maple Falls series. Each book in the series focusses on one woman from a group of friends, and as such, it could probably be read as a standalone. Still, I think readers will get the most out of the story and have a better understanding of the characters and town if they've read the previous books first.
I've really enjoyed the previous books in the series, so I was really looking forward to this one... and right away I was drawn into Olivia and Kingston's story. The two connected super early on, and quite quickly. To the point that one minute they were thinking there might be something there and the next---the first kiss. So quickly that I actually went back, thinking I'd missed a page or two somehow! Despite that initial chemistry though, the story for the most part was actually a rather slow burn as these two had a lot to figure out before they reached a happily ever after! Naturally this allowed for a lot of meddling from family and townsfolk, which is certainly one of my favorite things about this series in general!
While I can't say that this was my favorite book in the series, I did find it to be an enjoyable read and I enjoyed catching up with all the characters in Maple Falls!

Feel-good, swoon worthy and though predictable was a delightful read.

Fall vibes, Hallmark movie feels! Two to Tango, the perfect relaxing read. Follow Olivia, the bookish heroine who loves vintage movies, and Kingston, the "known him all my life" male lead, as they find love and shake things up! Pass the 🍿 and enjoy this sweet Maple Falls Romance series finale. Small town charm, slow burn, and a happily ever after guaranteed!
I have been waiting for these two characters to get their story. I enjoyed the setting, the antics of the older ones in town working to get our young couple together. I loved the added lesson of learning to balance life and knowing what’s most important for a full happy life.

Kathleen Fuller's Maple Falls series has been kind of hit or miss for me, as while I didn't end up enjoying the first two titles in the series as much I'd expected to, I thought the third title was a wonderful romance, which ended up being a pleasant surprise. I was hopeful this one would end up being another lovely addition to the series, especially since the synopsis sounded sweet and charming.
I usually love titles that have a "bookish" element, so the fact that Olivia was the town's librarian already had this one moving in the right direction. Unfortunately, her character wasn't exactly what I was expecting or hoping for, and she was kind of hard to relate to, and slightly unlikeable. Kingston wasn't a character I ended up enjoying either, especially since he often seemed scatterbrained, and completely out of touch with reality. While the romance could have been swoon worthy and adorable, instead it reads as insta-love, and even more precisely, insta-lust, and I had a hard time believing their feelings developed as fast as they did. Without giving spoilers away, I also felt a lot of the drama that existed between the two of them over the issues in their relationship seemed blown out of proportion, and all could have been resolved if they'd simply taken the time to truly talk things out. However, this book also includes a wonderful romance between two of the older residents of Maple Falls, and that one I wholeheartedly enjoyed, and was more than happy with how it wrapped up.
All in all, it was nice to get one last visit to the (fictional) town of Maple Falls, but I have to say that this series overall has been a miss for me. While the setting is lovely, many of the characters are a hoot, and they all have a really great plot set up, the execution generally ends up feeling to me like something is missing by the end of the story, and that was the case again here. Also, I really wish that books marketed as "Christian" fiction would actually have a faith element included, instead of just a few superficial mentions of attending church.
Final Rating: 3/5.
A cute romance that stays fairly clean, but with a disjointed plotline and characters that were unlikeable and unrelatable, I don't foresee myself rereading this one again in the future.

Oh, Kingston and Olivia.
And… Jasper and Erma, finally!
This one might stomp on your heart a little bit. Both Kingston and Olivia have so much depth, and so much growth. They’re both kind of in a rut with their need for schedules and Kingston with his inability to say no.
Watching them slowly figure it out and seeing everyone from the previous books, and watching Jasper and Erma finally wake up!! Such a good read.

I didn't like this book by Kathleen Fuller nearly as much as I liked the other books in the series. The setting is wonderfully easy to imagine place for me, even though it is a fictional town, there are many references to real towns that I know personally.
The issues I had with this book were the characters--a boundary-stomping, entitled mother named Karen, the match-making Bosom Buddies, a weak-spined son named Kingston, and a mousy Olivia. Karen was the epitome of all the Karen memes across the internet. The Bosom Buddies, or the BBs, went into overdrive in their meddling match-making. Kingston was just the mama's boy who couldn't say no until someone said no to him quite forcefully, finally making him take an intense look at himself to see who he really was and how spineless he actually was. Olivia was the librarian and content to just let life move around her without much of involvement from her. I think the only character who knew his own mind and what he really wanted was Jasper, the retired hardware clerk.
I really wanted to like the book more and to have an entertaining read, but I was disappointed. The ending of the book ties up all the loose ends and the characters see their true needs and address them, but some characters take responsibilities that are not theirs to carry. It just wasn't a great read for me and was a disappointment after the others in the series were, in my mind, so much better. Two Stars

#BookRevew: TWO TO TANGO by Kathleen Fuller
The fourth installment of the A Maple Falls Romance series was a pleasure to read. I have always enjoyed the meddling of the Bosom Buddies, as they are always entertaining and genuinely care for their town and the people they love. However, inviting Kington's mother into their plan made things more complicated. The dance lessons were fun to read.
The obstacles that Olivia and Kingston had to overcome in order to be together were numerous. While this was fine, I felt like I wanted to see more of them spending time together.I wanted both of them to be strong and capable, able to stand up to Kingston's mother. This took some time to develop. Their characters were flawed but it was still a sweet romance. I was happy when they worked things out to be together in the end.

The obstacles that Olivia and Kingston had to overcome in order to be together were numerous. While this was fine, I felt like I wanted to see more of them spending time together.I wanted both of them to be strong and capable, able to stand up to Kingston's mother. This took some time to develop. Their characters were flawed but it was still a sweet romance. I was happy when they worked things out to be together in the end.

This is the first book I've read by Kathleen Fuller. I chose it mainly because it involved a librarian. It was an okay read but I didn't relate to the characters or the situation they found themselves in which reduced my buy in on the story. I understand it is a series based in Maple springs and maybe reading the other books in the series would have increased my enjoyment of the book.

I’ve loved all Kathleen Fullers books in fact, she’s my most read author in the past 1 year but this book felt different.
I’m happy to see closures for Hayden, Erma and Jasper and to see the realistic struggle Olivia had to go through with all 3 of her friends getting married.
Her best friend, Anita is not featured prominently in the story and she is the sister to her love interest who by the way, is the ultimate source of my irritation in this book. He’s supposed to be a well to do, well meaning man with good intentions but he’s extremely reckless and unaccountable (at the start) and to instantly develop feelings for Olivia out of no where, making out with her (on exactly two occasions over 1 year) with no prior exchanges left a distasteful feeling in my mouth. This is the sort of things done by boys who aren’t ready to settle down, leaving a woman on her toes waiting for his call. His excuse? Can’t organise his work schedule. Obviously she meant nothing to him and the love he has for her feels out of pity. This plot made it difficult to build anything substantial on based on the profile of readers of this genre.
The start of this story deviates from a typical Clean Romantic Fiction. The making out at the start was all too sudden and steamy for the genre and I feel disappointed that this series did not feature or reflect an overarching story of the four friends. I’d like to have seen more involvement from Riley, Anita and Harper but this was not done enough. All four friends were largely secretive about their love interests over the series so it makes for a false friendship and the four men could have had more man-time developing what would be a life long, close family friendship circle.
What about the small town baseball team from the first book? This was what they all had in common and could have been the best part of bringing all the characters together. Why did that stop? Olivia (strangely like Riley, Rusty and Harper) has very distant parents but they could have been part of this story; a mother like Leonard’s mum from the big bang theory and a father somewhat like Sheldon Cooper (doing a punnet square in response to the mum’s genetic test on their first date). That would have made this a mega hit. I also wanted closures for Riley and her estranged mother.
The book certainly got better if you can overlook the initial fiasco and it became really lighthearted and funny. The best gem in this book however is none other than Erma and Jasper; a perfect love story for the ages. I also loved Aunt Bea and Karen’s meddling. So it goes without saying that you should not let my review deter you from reading this book and more Kathleen Fullers books (previous 11 books I read have all been excellent). She’s a brilliant writer and excellent character developer and I look forward to reading another one of her new books. I’m sure it will not disappoint.

I received an advanced readers copy of Two to Tango!
Two to Tango is an adorable hallmark movies style romance book. A pediatrician is overworked, and unable to find time for love. A small time librarian is stuck in a rut, and wants to change. After a couple failed dates, they write each other off. But for some reason, the force of attraction (and old people) keeps pulling them together!
I thought the story was adorable. But I spent most of the book disliking the mmc, Kingston. I actually kept a list of red flags so I wouldn't forget
Kingston's red flags include:
-approving of throwing a woman onto a bed hard enough to break the bed (in a movie) indicating that because of her behavior she deserved it
- dismissive of menstrual cramp
- needs his mom to tell him to get his hair cut (though a huge part of the book is him learning how to say no to his mom, so props there)
- congratulating a pregnant woman on being pregnant without her telling him she was pregnant (he could tell by her glow, because he's a doctor)
- told his mother that Anita [ his sister] was only treating her weird because Anita was hormonal from pregnancy, instead of sticking up for his sister and telling his mom to shove off
As I mentioned- his character arc is about learning to say no, and to live life for himself not others. I think it's a very important journey, and one that many people need to take. In the end I think he is acceptable match for Olivia, so it was okay.
I liked Olivia having a similar yet different journey. Hers was about breaking free of the mold she forced herself into. She also learns to do things that makes her happy, and to break her schedule. Olivia is often described as olive skinned and she says she is 1/4 Hispanic. However this is not a book about being mix-raced or being Puerto rican. Honestly, it kinda felt like an attempt to check off the diversity box
Their romance together wasn't really the main focus. We know they get zaps and tingles when they're around each other, but their particularly journey is about finding space for relationships. And learning how to be a good partner. It works for them, since Kingston is Olivia's best friends older brother. So they didn't need to do too much of the "getting to know you" piece, since they'd known each other peripherally for ages.
Alongside Kingston and Oliva's romance, there a great romance between Erma and Jasper. They are in their 70's and 80's. I ADORED their romance. I thought it was so sweet, and when Erma mistakes the electric jolt of attraction for gas pain I cackled! It was awesome. I really enjoyed their story. It's also AWESOME that Erma is the only one who refrences a libido at any point. Get it Mimi!

What I’ve learned from reading other books by Kathleen Fuller is she has the most interesting, delightful, fun characters that get right into the readers heart from the beginning. This book is no exception.
This enchanting, delightful story takes us back to the small town of Maple Falls, Arkansas where Olivia, the town librarian depends on her very precise planning for all things. She is very predictable and as an example every Monday for many years she arrives 30 minutes early for Vintage Movie Night at the local Sunset Cinema. She sits in the same seat each time, seventh row, tenth seat and has the same drink, a Diet Coke. On one particular night a man sits in her row. What a surprise to find it is Kingston, the older brother of her best friend, Anita. He slides over and shares his popcorn with her.
Olivia’s parents are academics and were often out of town doing research and eventually moved away. As a result, Olivia was partly raised by her Aunt Bea. Aunt Bea has a close circle of friends, who call themselves the Bosom Buddies, BBs for short. At a regular meeting of the BBs, it has been decided Olivia is in a rut and needs a man in her life. Her close friends are now all married and some even expecting their first child. The BBs feel it’s their duty to go into full matchmaking mode with their sights set on Kingston as the perfect man for Olivia. They even recruit Kingston’s mother to get involved in their matchmaking schemes. This causes Olivia and Kingston to come up with the idea of “fake” dating to throw them off and to hopefully leave them alone. Fake dating, along with dance lessons at the new dance studio in town creates more complications than they could have ever imagined.
This book is full of shenanigans contrived by the masterminds of the BBs, in fact, one of the BBs has also taken her friendship with Jasper an old friend to another level. Has been awhile since I’ve read such a heartwarming, delightful, laugh-out-loud book. I was disappointed when I came to the end, but hopeful Kathleen has more of these of these stories yet to come.

In this fourth installment of the Maple Falls romance series, we get the fourth friend in our Chick Clique--Olivia's love story. And it is NOT a simple straight line. it's got hills and valleys and flat lines. I felt like this story was probably one of the most believable of the four friends. Mostly because it takes place over the course of over a year. This book actually starts midway through a previous book and for several chapters runs concurrent with events in previous books. So it wouldn't be helpful to start with this book.
Now--her love interest first showed up in the previous book as he is Anita's (her best friend) brother. The book starts of with a zip zap tingle of attraction...but then a twist of events and it fizzles and dies due to complications. The book picks up a year later. But it's still not smooth sailing. This is why I actually enjoyed this book.
Now about the lead characters:
Anita is a serious Type A, only child, by the book, only routine, no deviations, no risks kind of girl.
Kingston is a people pleaser who can't say no to a good cause or event or job or (fill in the blank). this is to his detriment when his job as a pediatrician suffers greatly to him being overworked and spread too thin. He simply has so MANY priorities, everything gets dropped and he's on a sure fire path to burnout.
it's because of Kingston's lack of balance--and Anita's avoidance of risk that things go up and down in their relationship. But enter Kingston's forced sabbatical of two months...and that is where the bulk of the story resides.
You will also get a LOVELY side story of Erma who has been a figure in all the books--Riley's grandmother. She makes me smile.
Out of the four books--this one is one of my favorites.
Now--while this is a Christian fiction--there isn't really a drop of faith message in it. Which makes it really just a clean fiction book. Again.
4 stars as a overall score

This book suffered from an unlikeable characters. Kingston is supposed to be the hero, but right off the bat you're turned against him because he forgets to call Olivia and set up a date because he's too busy with work. It's not even that he forgets, but months go by without a word to her. And then he doesn't do it once, but twice and a year goes by. Yet they're still pining for each other which just makes me want to smack them. While I understand this busyness was the hurdle Kingston has to overcome, it could have been presented in a way that didn't make him unworthy of our support. Forgetting for a month, okay, forgivable, but to let a year go by and to do it twice? Inexcusable. It also doesn't reflect well on Olivia that she can't move past this man who doesn't give her enough importance to at the very least actually pencil into his schedule. Sure it's a small town, but there were other more deserving people out there.
On top of that, Kingston is a weak character. He's so busy because he simply can't say no and don't even get me started on his insufferable mother. Her pushiness grated on my nerves and he just rolled over until he finally got a clue. Then you throw in the meddling seniors who are just a bit much. As for Olivia, she's not presented in a flattering fashion either. She's made to appear pitiful because she has a strict schedule and keeps herself busy and all of that is bad because she's clearly just filling her time because she's alone and that must mean she's miserable. She's happy in her existence until people keep pushing her to find someone like a man will complete her. Personally it sends the wrong message for people who are living a single existence. Do I feel bad that she puts herself out there and gets burned? Absolutely, but I disliked how she's made to be this character people almost pity.
This is the end of a series, which is good because I'm not sure I would want more from Maple Falls.

Having both parents who are college professors, she takes a college class each semester working on more degrees. Having a Bachelor's degree and a two master's degrees, the skies the limit. She was raised by her Aunt Bea and Uncle Billy who never had children of their own, because her parents thought it would be better for her. Her parents are both unemotional and involved with their work. Her Aunt and Uncle showered her with love.
When she runs into Dr. Kingston Bedford at the old movie theater one night, they both are shocked by the chemistry between them. Having grown up with his sister, Anita, as her best friend her whole life, Kingston was always around. Now he's the local pediatrician with no idea how to manage time for himself.
When he asks Olivia out for a date and ends up ghosting her not once, but twice, she refuses to be hurt by him again. But her Aunt and the BB's have other ideas that lead to meddling with their lives. In the end, Olivia can't live with all of the lies and calls off the farce of faking a relationship. I have been reading every book in this series and enjoying every character in this beautiful small town.

It may look like any other small town but with the perfect characters for a love story
.
I like that they don't follow an expected time and that the story changes with the characters.

Kingston has a lot going on, with his private practice, his volunteer work and classes as well as speaking at conferences, his life is dominated by hard work until he is forced to take a sabbatical and before he can book a ticket he He end up promised to be the dance partner in the classes his mother takes and there he re meets Olivia, the librarian who is trying to break her routine and who has swear to forget about him completely. But when they're paired together it's obvious there's a lot of spark between them

Of course there are meddling characters, in this case a knitting group that decides to take action on the matter but at the same time there is the love story of one of its members

What another cute and fun read by one of my very favorite authors!
I simply love loved this book!!
The BB's have really made this series a lot of fun, and I enjoyed getting to know them. I'd love to have them as my BFF's!
When you first meet these ladies, it's as if you'd known them your whole life!
Fuller knows just how to work her magic to the fullest, lol! Her heart is at the very core of this series or any of her other books.
I tried to take my time with and savor this book, but well..... I couldn't help myself it was soooooo good! I finished this in a day!
Sometimes, it just has to be the right time. I love to say only on God's timing, not ours, because sometimes you just have to take a step back for a little while to mature, and then maybe?????
You'll just have to read this book to find out if they make it or not!
Let's just say that lots of emotions fly really fast throughout this book.
I really applauded Aunt Bea for being a great character. I have an aunt like her. She's my favorite person in the whole world.
Olivia Farnsworth is a really lucky gal, in my opinion.
Everything in this story was my favorite. It was hard to pinpoint just one thing.
I guess it would have to be the romance. Not too mushy but just enough. Fuller did a nice job with it.

I guess it would have to be the romance. Not too mushy but just enough. Fuller did a nice job with it.
5 stars for a delightful read and a faith filled journey.

Two to Tango is a romance novel written by Kathleen Fuller. It is part of the Maple Falls Romance series, but it is not necessary to have read previous books in the series in order to read this one.
Summary: Olivia has a strict schedule for her life. Everything has its time and place. Some would even call her stuck in her ways, and maybe she is.
Dr. Kingston Bedford is so busy he can hardly think straight. He says yes to everything, and as such is a jack of all trades, but a master of none.
Can Olivia break out of her shell and try something new? Can Kingston rearrange his priorities? With a little push from their friends, they might just have a chance.
My Thoughts: I did not like this book. First of all, the characters are not likable. I can’t root for a guy who can’t keep his promises. And I have a hard time taking the side of a girl who keeps giving him chances, and then blames herself when things don’t work out.
Plus, there is tons of busybody meddling from the townsfolk.
I can get behind a little nudge from those who love you most, but this was so serious the main characters felt like they were being threatened to get together.
There wasn’t even a real redeeming “I have worked on my issues, and I’m better now” scenario. It was just, “Yeah, I need to work on that.”
I have read other books in this series that I enjoyed, but this one was pretty disappointing, and unfortunately I can’t recommend it.

This book is written for those who follow the series. It is unreadable stand alone so I have made a mistake by picking it up.
As a new reader, within the first pages I was overwhelmed with many names thrown at me. Who are these people? Why do I care? Why do I need to know every person's name who passes by, especially if you never hear about them again? How is this relevant or adding to the story?
The main heroine is odd to put it mildly. I would have been fine if we were told that she has Asperger's, then it would make sense. But for a regular person, she seemed extremely difficult and unlikeable. I do not know why the hero would be suddenly attracted to her because nothing about her seemed attractive.
Unfortunately within the next barely readable chapters, the story stars revolving about other people and from their perspective. Suddenly everyone from different generations in this family is having a love story in this book. The dialogues are on an edge of absurdity or boredom, and every chapter is full of them. These people just go on and on. There are no developments of the characters, just this inane chatter by a new character so eventually I gave up and threw the book into the fire. Just kidding.

Olivia Farnsworth is a librarian with a routine. That is, she goes to bed by the same time each night. She goes to see a vintage film the same time each month and she sits in the same seat, in the same row. Her life is organised. And… apparently people think she’s lonely.
Kingston Bedford is a doctor, and an overworked one at that. He’s stretched himself too thin and has started to make mistakes. An enforced sabbatical results in him joining a dance class (coerced by his mother) and once again bumping into Olivia.
Again? Well yes, she’s his sister’s childhood best friend and they actually bumped into each other at the vintage movie night. Oh, and they made out. But then he never called… because he was too busy.
Suddenly everyone decides that these two need to be together, and matchmaking sparks fly.
Unfortunately for me, reader sparks didn’t fly quite as much. While it was a pleasant enough read, I didn’t feel like I was IN the story. I couldn’t get into the characters (neither of the two main characters) and a lot of it just felt forced.
I haven’t read the rest of the books in the Maple Falls series, hence why I have rounded up, as it may well be that I was missing backstory for it to really pique my interest.
A pleasant romantic read, but didn’t float my boat enough.
