In part two of Deep, Elonora will stop at nothing to get the locket from Shore. That means promising Laguna everything her shallow heart beauty, riches, and Zambezi. Meanwhile, Shore and Zambezi are trying to live the life of a young couple in love, but heavy is the head that wears the crown. They soon discover the emergence of a new set of deadly swamp creatures. These crocodiles intend to takeover Lake Deep starting with getting rid of the elderly residents of Oland. While Zambezi is ready for war, Shore is drowning in her insecurities. She doesn't feel competent as the new queen nor the woman in Zambezi's life. Especially not when Geesha, whose body is packed with the types of curves a sea dragon cherishes, makes her attraction to Zambezi known. With so many things being thrown at the couple at once, their relationship starts to suffer. Now in the midst of fighting for Lake Deep, protecting their future, and recovering from their past, they must also nurture their budding relationship, defeat Elonora, and break generational curses. Does their love run deep enough for them to overcome all their obstacles, or are they in over their heads? Contains mature themes.
I enjoyed this story….ordinarily, not my kind of story….but this really was a good story with a bit of humor. This story answered all of the questions left unanswered from book 1.
This was an absolute great read! It took me to a world a wish I was a part of! The characters were very well developed. I have closure and am really satisfied!! I love the complexity of the plot and the representation of strong Black women united and as a force!
The narrators brought this story to life, so kudos to them. The book overall, I think was okay. There just seemed to be too many things happening at one time and more characters were introduced. Zambezi clearly loved Shore but she was very immature at times. The secrets were coming from everywhere. The book ended well.
3.25 ⭐️🌶️🌶️🌶️ I enjoyed this book slightly better than the first book because we got to know a little bit more about the different mythical creatures, and there was a lot more conflict. I can’t say some of the bombs surprised me, but a lot of the drama was self-inflicted by the FMC. I would like to get a spinoff book with the MMC‘s brother, but I’m probably reaching a little bit.
This book was a long time coming, but I enjoyed every minute of it. It was well written, action packed and very descriptive. The relationship between Zambezi and Shore was amazing. There were a lot of secrets and betrayals revealed in this book. Although the ending happy, I can definitely see more action coming in the form of another book.
At first I was skeptical because of how long it toook for this book to come out. Wondering would I remember the book or would it not be as good. But baaaaaby this book picked up right where it left off and was even better than the first. Natavia you are the REAL GOAT. You have a way with words and making a fiction feel like REALITY. I hope future spin offs or just another Deep is in the making cause these characters never need to die and I see so many ways that they can continue. In my DJ Khalid voice ANOTHER ONE !!!!
This book is so vivid with details that it feels like you are apart of its world. Natavia is a beast with her pin. The way she writes allows you to vividly picture each setting as if it a memory of your own. I love Zambezi and Bay! So strong, yet sensitive! Great story! I will always read and support anything by Natavia! A MIST READ!
Where do I start... I love the thought that comes from this authors books. She doesn't spare anything when it comes to writing these amazing stories. Now Deep 2 dedication had alot of drama because too many people living around each other will definitely bring. Than the jealousy and betrayal you have craziness all around. Shore and Zam definitely had their problems but just as Oceana said trying to pull them apart only makes their love stronger. Now Oceana had me pissed at her because she was holding in too many secrets that could have solved so much. But honestly Shore and Zam had to get on the same page so things could work out for them. Love Bay no matter what because he tells it like it is and don't care what is said about him but honestly Zam is the same way. Reef is too cool, she is definitely eccentric and I like that about her. It was interesting reading about the Crocs and how they came about to be swamp animals. Don't like Geesha but Laguna wasn't any better. Being selfish gets you no where.
It was really good I’ll give you that but the banter between Zam & Shore was soo annoying like hooo my goodness they bickered for 80% of the book the lack of communication was so exhausting. I thugged it out though and I’m happy I did. I do wish we could have gotten more clarity on Caspians issues like bro just lacked accountability and was bitter, the bitterness is understandable cus like dang his whole family was obliterated. But the lack of care for his kids was crazy to me. My only real request is next time please get us some more mature characters, or at least provide them with good guiding figures cus WHEWWWWWW chile they grated my nerves. I really think Natavia shines in her paranormal romances and I’d love to see more
I’m a sucker for urban paranormal. And Natavia didn’t disappoint. Fairies, sirens, sea dragons, human crocs, and shape shifters. She gave me all of that and more. The love story that is developing between Zim and Shore is refreshing. Zim was a beautiful man that could turn into a hideous sea dragons. The way he loved and cared for Shore gave a glimpse of what soul ties should resemble.
Although the book was centered around him and Shore, there was background noise from Bey, Rain and Reef; Geisha and Pyru, Caspian, Elanora, and Oceana; Jewel and Bey; Merrill and the Crocs. It could be overwhelming at times but this was definitely a great read. I’d love to see it as a series.
It definitely goes down in the deep! This book was awesome! All of the past came to the light and it was some jacked up stuff! Plus the past definitely had some serious effects on the present and the future. Talk about trauma, betrayal, jealousy, lust, vanity, love, immaturity, insecurity, hate, selfishness, and much more. This book hell the whole series was amazing! It was well written, had great characters, the plot and storyline were fantastic! I’ve been a fan for a while and this further solidified my continued support as a fan!
Natavia I love when you do your paranormal stories. Shore was making me mad but I’m soooo happy you kept her and Zam together. I love they could come to a coming ground on a lot of stuff and they made it. Bay and Reef love was awesome and I hope you do this series going like you did A Beauty to his Beast series. Love love can’t wait til the spin off GREAT JOB Natavia
Good book and good storyline however it was just too much. It was all of the secrets and betrayal for me. Then on top of that Shore’s immature tail worked my last nerve with her insecurities and childish ways. In addition, the water fairies we’re all vain, self-centered and overly sexual with every man. Lastly, some things were unclear like why didn’t they have children before now.
This book is just what the title says deep cause whew Chile it was so much going on but thank god reef darya stayed true in so happy for jewel and bay Eleanor was a crazy witch Sam played no games im glad he didn't fall for the hype with geesha this family went through the storm but only the strong survive piyo got what he deserved my girl handled them babies like a champ zam and Shore most definitely deserved each other
I’ve read a lot of paranormal books! And This book here. No scratch that this series here is one of the best! It had me up until 4am! I couldn’t put it down. Let alone sleep until I knew how it played out! She takes you on one hell of a ride! Had me on pins and needles the whole way through!
I'm not sure how I feel about this book. It was definitely a struggle finishing this book and that was a first for me from this author. I am a fan of the author but not really of this particular book. It was hard to follow and sometimes the story didn't flow that well from scene to scene. I really hate to leave this subpar review but it's a no for me.
I just live how Natavia does her research on the creatures she’s uses in her paranormals make them seem so real with all the knowledge about them and their culture! Zambezi has me on edge thinking Geesha was gone get him but I loved his self control, live and protectiveness he had towards Shore! This is a must read! Can’t wait to the next paranormal drops!!!
Omg this story was well worth the wait. It was so beautiful and had so many twist that it kept me on the edge of my seat. I would LOVE to read more especially with the children growing up, whatever happened to geesha, got a feeling she's somewhere lurking. I don't feel bad for rain or lake. They both betrayed people who loved them all for nothing
Finally the evil Elnora is gone! The babies are born virginity broken, mother and son united, daughter and mom together, one sister dead , one banished and they are having a moment of peace . Can’t wait to the next book it’s apparent Geesha will be a problem.
Wow! These two books had be engaged from the first page to the last. So many twist and turns. Another book written by a fab author. What I liked most about this book was the way that the author entwined the lives of each character and slowly revealed the storyline. An excellent read!
I was annoyed with Shore a great deal because though she was curious she couldn’t let go of the past so it was therefore effecting their future. I had to scream when she went to the palace even with zam’s vision. I’m glad oceana finally let her skeletons be known so shore could heal however and know if her past
I listened to this on audible and read some on kindle an was well worth a lot of question’s answered…but like the last book Shore worked my nerves I just wanted to slap her, she pissed me off like she did Zam. I really did like Bay an Reef this go round…job well done
Natavia did it again. This urban paranormal was so vivid and had action and romance that I was hooked to reading. I loved this book and Shore especially. I loved the genre and hope she continues to make more amazing books like this!!
For taking a year to come out, I thought this book would have been different. The book kind of repetitive at one point and I found myself skimming over some of it. The first one was a banger but this one the middle was just blah. I was excited by reading the beginning and the end (epilogue).
I love Natavia's work . Like absolutely love it. But the last two releases made me think it wasn't actually her writing 🤔. Idk what's up with this story but it felt rushed idk but something was definitely missing.
Man Shore did make me mad sometimes cause she was so stubborn and wouldn’t listen to Zam but I am glad they worked things out and now have a family of their own. Great read as always
I love them. That Caspian was just evil. It wasn’t cuz of the curse he just chose to be evil after awhile. Which I guess I can understand cuz he been thru some ish. I want to read more. I don’t think Geesha will just give up that easily
If only I could find more paranormal stories as good as this one to read! Shore got on my nerves but I still loved her and Zam together. Now I need a book with their kids!!!!
