Sebastien Case's assistant has been missing since they got to Vegas and when he finds her he is gobsmacked. She is all dressed up and arouses the hell out of him. Then she lays one on him, she is resigning, since she is fed up of his demands, she wants to get married and have babies and her boyfriend just dumped her days before her 30th birthday because of him.

Then she decides to play and bets that if she wins she gets a night with him and guess what she does. This part was truly hilarious for me, winning a guy.
Sebastien likes control and keeping track of everything in life.

Missy was the preacher's kid wild, but after her mother's stoke suppressed that but now she's ready to let loose.

The book was enjoyable actually seeing Missy stand Sebastien down and doing her thing while Sebastien fumbled.

OK, this is a case of 'wrong side of the tracks'. Missy is from a small country town. Her father is a preacher, and she is the typical preachers daughter. Sebastian seems to have grown up with a silver spoon in his hand. They both have strong work ethics, and work till the job is done. That has messed up more than one relationship for Missy. Now they were in Las Vegas, where they have worked night and day to get their big conference planned out. Can they keep what happens in Vegas, in Vegas?

I loved both characters. Although my love for Sebastian came slower than Missy. But i felt they complimented each other. Sebastian was a stickler for the little things. Everything had to be in its place. Everything had a time. Missy was the one that got it all done. Even finishing his home for him.
Its one of those books that you can put yourself into, and actually see what they are describing. I really enjoyed this book. I gave it a 5 star...

Sebastian Case is looking for his assistant Missy. She has been missing for over 6 hrs. He has not seen her since they checked into hotel. Tommorrow meeting the first yearly convention since he was made president after his dad retired. He rely on Missy for a lot of things. He finds her in a bar but she has changed.
Missy told him that today was her 30th birthday and she quit. She wants a family and working for him at all the hours she won't find time.
Sebastian doesn't want her to quit. He finds out she was dumped yesterday for always being at his beck and call. She took years of saving that was going to be for wedding dress and put it on red at roulett table and told her boss okay lands on black she won't quit lands on red she gets him for one night. Missy wins they celebrate all night.
Sebastian tries to keep her at company and says she already has a job offer so Sebastian wants to keep her since she won't be working for him.
Missy because of her past doesn't think she will fit in with his crowd. Sebastian because of games his ex-wife played has a hard time trusting again.
Its is a fun romance seeing them change and grow. I admit to skipping the sex scenes. I was given this ebook in exchange of honest review.

Missy has been Sebastien's assistant for four years and has gone unnoticed by him the entire time. She works hard and puts in way too many hours doing anything that he asks of her. But after she gets dumped by her boyfriend she decides that its time for a change. When Sebastien thinks about his assistant he notes how organized and attentive she is. He does not notice her looks or how much work she puts into being his assistant, he just takes it as his due. But when he see's the new Missy while working in Las Vegas he is stunned. Missy is no longer the homely looking assistant he once knew, she is now dazzling beautiful without her glasses, a nice haircut, and sexier more sensual clothing. Also Missy is now his ex-employee after giving her notice shortly after the arrive in Las Vegas.

Missy has reinvented herself by bring out her old wild roots. She wants a change and knows that that can't happen while she is still working for Sebastien. She can't say know when he requests things of her so she needs to make a clean break. Expect Sebastien won't let that happen he will do anything to keep his assistant with him. So when Missy makes a bet with him a the roulette table, he wins she comes back to work for him, she wins she gets him for one night. Believing that he will win Sebastien indulges in the bet but everything changes when Missy wins and their one night is better than either of them could imagine. Everything gets complicated pretty quick for these two with family members and each of their past relationships coming back to haunt them with their insecurities and doubts.

I really liked this story. I read it in a few hours an thoroughly enjoyed it. I liked how Missy changed and stood up for herself. She deserved better and wouldn't accept any less. Sebastien was also a great leading male, he started off as an overbearing boss who kind of sounded like a jerk with his being inconsiderate of how much he affected everyone around him. But you could tell that he genuinely didn't know the effect he had on his employees and he worked to change that in a small amount of time. This was a great story and I will definitely be reading more by this author.

Review cross-posted from Wit and Sin: http://witandsin.blogspot.com/2011/09...

Sebastian Case considers Missy Ward to be the perfect assistant. She’s smart, efficient, and doesn’t distract him in the slightest. Then, on a conference trip to Las Vegas, Missy does a complete one-eighty and Sebastian discovers that underneath Missy’s mousy façade was a vixen waiting to happen. And the “new” Missy isn’t going to play by the rules anymore and the first thing she does in Vegas is quit. Sebastian can’t allow that to happen, no matter how distracting he finds Missy now. He’ll do anything to keep her, including agree to her wild bet. One spin of the roulette wheel determines whether Sebastian will keep Missy as his assistant…or Missy keeps Sebastian for one night of passion.

A Win-Win Proposition is a delightful, fast-paced read that kept me entertained all the way through. Cat Schield charmed me with Missy’s modern day Cinderella transformation. But unlike the fairy tale Cinderella, Missy has attitude. With her new look and a “nothing to lose” mantra, Missy goes for what she wants. And what she wants is Sebastian. Sebastian is the classic workaholic who needs to be hit over the head to see that the woman for him is the one who has been right in front of him all along. Missy’s complete change in behavior certainly does the job. The two of them heat up the pages even as they navigate the treacherous waters of going from boss-assistant to lovers and equals. Ms. Shield didn’t make it easy on these two, but I enjoy reading a happily ever after where the hero and heroine have to work for it.

A Win-Win Proposition can be read as a standalone, but the glimpses I saw of Sebastian’s family definitely made me want to read his half-brother’s book, Meddling with a Millionaire. Overall, I really enjoyed A Win-Win Proposition and I look forward to reading more of Ms. Schield’s work, starting, of course, with Meddling with a Millionaire.

My Thoughts:

There are three books about the Case Brothers but they are not sold as series. I’ve been reading Harlequin for quite a while and bundled this book in a family series. First one is already out and the third and last will be available sometime this year.

This is a sweet story about a girl going wild and fighting for her love. Missy has been working for Sebastian during four years and he never noticed the girl beyond her clothes and the extra hours since he’s a difficult boss. But after her boyfriend dumps her claiming she’s pinning for her boss and is in denial, Missy jumps the opportunity and decides for a change and that happened in Vegas.

Sebastian is a pain in the ass kind of boss, never noticed anybody how they really are just how much they improve the family company he just assumed after his father retired. So when Missy goes missing in Vegas in the middle of important week, and leaves him alone he definily goes crazy.

But Missy decided to change right? And the pastor daughter improves a lot in clothes and hair even with a new attitude that her boss can only dream about.

Overall is a fun book and Missy really teaches Sebastian how love is and that he’s life can be more that just job. He’s family is also very fun especially while trying to help.

Missy's boss Sebastian is 100% dedicated to his job, he knows Missy is an excellent assistant but does not show his appreciation, he demands 100% of her time, which is why Missy finds herself on her 30th birthday, working in Vegas, newly single and Sebastian doesn't even realize it is her birthday. Missy has had it, she decides to turn in her notice and take a walk on the wild side.

Sebastian has been searching for Missy all afternoon, when he is distracted by a sexy woman sitting at a bar. He is totally blown away when he realizes it is Missy. Not to mention he is floored and desperate when she tells him she quits. He refuses to accept her resignation. Missy ends up making a bet with him, she wins he is hers for the night, he wins she tears up her resignation.

Sebastian is blindsided by his feelings for Missy, Missy keeps him on his toes by staying strong. The result is a fun, sexy read.

Cat Schield'in hikayeside fena değildi boş vaktinizde okunacak türde bir romandı.

Missy Ward is Sebastian Case's irreplaceable assistant and they are in Vegas for a conference. Sebastian has taken Missy for granted and all that she does in her job and way beyond her job. Missy has a makeover and also decides to quit her job. She has been secretly infatuated with Sebastian since she started and just has to move on now. In Vegas they have a bet - black she'll stay at her job and red, Sebastian owes her one night of passion. Missy wins of course.

A really normal story without much interest. It's acceptable but nothing more.

La personalidad de Missy es lo que menos me gusta del libro. Al principio la pinta como una chica fuera y luego como una débil que se derrumba al ver a Sebastián. No entiendo esta tendencia de construir personajes femeninos de esta manera.

I really enjoyed this HD, it was different than the normal boss/secretary scenario, it was fun, and although they both had issues, they actually had conversations about some of them. I enjoyed it enough that I will pick up the next by this author.

No typos/editing issues.

i did not like it. i did not understand sebastien's sudden attraction to missy. his attitude seemed more like a man who had had a fatal attraction at first sight instead of, at a second look ! lol.
