Rate this book
Every mom with little ones can benefit from and appreciate the amusing, thoughtful and profound "mini-retreats" from Lorilee Craker. I like Jen Hatmaker's humor a bit more but this book was a good one. Sixty little stories about parenting, life w/ kids, friends etc. Begin and end w/ a short Bible verse. The perfect thing to read before bed. Moms of any age can relate

I really liked this for what it is. Its 2-3 page "devotionals" (but actually just anecdotes) about Christian living as a mother. Some were really relatable. Some tied really closely to scripture. They weren't all bangers, but it was a good read.

I really enjoyed the humor, honesty and brevity of each little story in this book. It's a great book for a waiting room, waiting for the last 5 minutes of a cartoon to finish before you get in the car, etc. It's written from a Christian perspective but not in the least bit preachy. It's encouraging and I found myself saying "yup, I've been there."

This would have been better had I read it several years ago when my children were little (toddler age).

I got this book for free when I joined a MOPS group. I loved reading the stories in it, and getting a good laugh. I'm just happy to know I'm not the only mom with crazy kids. :D

I tend to read couple books at a time. Short stories that'll make you laugh and cray at the SAME time. From one mom to another.

I enjoyed this writer's creativity, with all her humorous anecdotes. It is a retreat from mommydom, yes, but not enough scripture/spiritualness to be a devotional.
