Unusual and eccentric museums throughout the United States and Canada which feature such displays as Dan Quayle's baby pictures and spelling tests, 2,000 cookie jars, the largest and best dressed cockroaches, and antique dental instruments in Charleston, South Carolina, whose fame is spread "thanks to word of mouth."
Someone started passing this book around my group of friends and it sounded interesting. It was not as interesting as I expected it to be. Some of the museums were more intriguing than others, which is to be expected, but I thought most of the entries were a little too long. The author went in for a lot of puns/plays on words (the frog museum entry included lots of use of verbs such as leap and jump and hop), which livened up the discussion of the less interesting museums, but got tedious over time.
