I thoroughly enjoyed this read. even though it is a book for young readers it was entertaining, exciting and interesting. I liked the amount of historical culture that was included.
The plot flowed and read easily. I miss the simplicity and strength of books of decades past. now books seem to be over stimulating. this was refreshing.
I read the majority of the book late last night, quite enthralled, but stopped myself from finishing the last 2 chapters because I wanting the story to linger a bit longer. was sad when I cane to the last page.
This book is very honorable. This book follows the typical YA format of a hero who loses his place in the world and his journey to regain it. A good book to read to a child but it probably helps a little to understand a little of samurai culture. You may end up needing to explain the concept of hari-kari to a young reader.
