This is my favorite Deborah Simmons book, the characters are fun and completely relatable. I love the surprise at the end, you just can't see that coming. Overall this is a fun read, I think I literally smiled the entire time I spent reading Fortune Hunter.
I started and finished this book in one sitting. It's a well-written historical fiction full of fast Acton and quick wit. Truly an enjoyable afternoon!
Would have been a solid 3, but the ending was a letdown. Better books - like Alice Coldbreath's Bridegroom bought and paid for or Suzanne Enoch's The Rake. Or Winter at Wildsyde.
