This book and getting to see Jose Succo's and Chanda Concord's story made this book so amazing. A touch of that forbidden romance with some murder and mystery makes this book pull you in and keeps you on the edge of your seat. There are a few twists I didn't see coming and absolutely shocked me in the best ways! I can't wait for book 4

Uhmm excuse me, I need MORE! The title is exactly what I’m feeling right now! I’m craving more of the Illicit and need to know what happens! Gail & Ashton know how to give you the twists and turns of events that I wonder if they ever see it coming. It’s so good!

I loved taking a dive into Jose’s mind and how compassionate he becomes for Chanda in such a short time. But when you know you know right? We also get inside Chanda’s twisted mind to know she’s just as smitten with Jose as he is with her. Although with the Illicit, it’s never wise to show your weaknesses - so they have to keep secret for awhile.

Just because we aren’t getting Steffan or Soren’s POV, doesn’t mean we miss out on the happenings at Thorn University. The serial killer is still on their spree… just when you start to think you might know who they are, you get another surprise.

I absolutely love that I have no clue what is going to happen next during this series and I cannot wait to read the next book - I think it’s going to rock our socks off! If you’re looking for an age gap, student/teacher trope with a whole lot of mystery, suspense, and spice - you’ll need to read this book and continue reading the series!

In the third book of the series, Miss Brooks and Miss Harris take us back to the world of The Illicit Brotherhood for the story of Jose and Chanda.
Chanda is Lee’s older sister, and Jose is a pledge for the Brotherhood. It is a reverse age gap, forbidden romance. The story is full of angst, suspense, secrets and spice.
I was fully entranced in the book that it was such a surprise that I was at the end of the book, with off course a major cliffhanger. So I am craving the next book right now, just to know how it will all go down, and if we finally get some needed answers.

ARC kindly provided for the authors in exchange for an honest review

Ranking: 4.5⭐

These authors are an amazing duet! With each book in The Illicit Brotherhood they manage to surprise me, make me think about thousands of theories and I really enjoy their complex and interesting world that they have created together, although I have to say that each cliffhanger makes me die a little too 😅 Also, in Crave the Illicit they given two absolutely amazing characters, a love story with the best twists and a more than interesting & captivating plot.

Chanda was my favourite, and along with Soren they are my favorite characters in the whole series, in fact, I think she's the female version of him. Chanda was a character that surprised me, she blew my mind on many occasions and completely stole my heart: she's a strong, ruthless woman, with VERY clear goals and who is willing to do anything to achieve them, Chanda is trying to fight to be accepted into the brotherhood, something she hasn't been allowed to do because she's a woman, and she constantly has mixed feelings about the privileges Lee has within the Illicit, and how much he means to her as her little brother.

Succo is trying to find his way back to the brotherhood, and he's about to succeed, until that night he shares with Chanda. And then Jose is ready to risk everything to support her, and shows that, in addition to being a fit for The Illicit, he also has a beautiful heart, is sweet, cuddly and loyal.

Chanda & Succo's story begins in the best possible way, their first interaction is full of sexual tension and a power struggle and seduction that characterizes their relationship. Chanda is a true predator who is constantly putting Jose in his place, even when she tries to stay away from him without much success, Jose gives Chanda everything she needs, especially their love, respect and support, plus, I loved that they both live their love in a clandestine way while fighting to achieve their goals, change the brotherhood and try to solve the countless mysteries that arise in the way.

🩸Chanda: 5/5
🖤Succo: 5/5
🩸Trama: 4.5/5
🖤Historia de amor: 5/5
🩸Personajes secundarios: 5/5
🖤Portada: 4.5/5

Once again the mystery lives on with suspense and all kinds of twists leaving you with an epic cliffhanger!

Wow the story of Jose and Chanda is one that will have you glued till the very end. It's a forbidden and spicy affair between these two! Get ready to swoon for Jose the protector and fear the craziness of Chanda and her hatred for the brotherhood of the Illicit. It's a wild ride in this one once again.

Chanda shows how ruthless she truly is and how much she wants to take down the Illicit and their archaic misogynistic society. She's one slightly crazy psychotic woman who doesn't let herself be deprived of what she wants now. Jose is her undoing this time. The forbidden one night turns into so much more as the story progresses. She plays dirty but finds herself finally wanting more than to take over the Illicit, but can she handle the strong feelings and connection to Jose and still get what she wants?

Jose is finally finding the one woman who makes him lose his calm and unfazed demeanor. Chanda is unlike anyone else he's been with prior. He's finding his craving for the vixen in secret is harder to hide. If you love a possessive and dominant guy, but overall a protector no matter the circumstances, then Jose will be your man! He's finding everything and everyone is more twisted than he thought.

So many twists in this one. Killer(s) is still on the loose taking out the hearts of their victims once again. The cliffhanger ending will have you yelling at your device because it's one that you just want to know who or what could it be/happening now. The authors did an amazing job once again leading you down this chaotic path of the Illicit Brotherhood this time. It's a definite must read if you love a Mystery and Suspense with a heaping side of Spice making you crave/need this series ASAP. Can't wait to see what happens next!

Gail Haris and Ashton Brooks continues to surprise me with their suspenseful, mysterious reads!

Crave The Illicit is an age gap, suspenseful, dark romance that follows a secret society full of twists and turns! This read was so intriguing! Not only did questions get answered, we got a bunch more questions that need solving. I adored Jose and his spunk right off the bat. He definitely wasn’t hesitant at all. Chandra was the star of the book in my opinion. She is a true vixen and has so much to offer to this world. These two are absolutely steamy! I love this world and all the twist and turns. This series definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat.

I have so many questions I still need answered and I’m looking forward to finding out more from these two authors! I’m am counting the second for the next book. I definitely recommend this book and this series for others.

This dark romance was suspenseful and full of twists and turns through-out the entire book. It also ends on a cliffhanger that will make you pull your hair out. Jose and Chanda's story will suck you in and keep you glued to your seat until the very end. Chanda is ruthless with a little bit of crazy thrown in, and I loved her so much. She was hands down my favorite character. This book was a wild ride for sure, and one you definitely won't want to miss. It's fast paced, well written, and one you won't want to put down.

Book 3 in The Illicit Brotherhood Series and books 1&2 definitely need to be read first!
While those books concentrate on Taylor, Steffan & Soren with Lee as a main side-character and The Illicit Brotherhood, this book focuses on Succo & Chanda, a Pledge and Lee's older sister.

They are still surrounded by d3ath, d4nger & secrets. There's definite chemistry between Succo & Chanda, a taboo relationship that you can't help but cheer for.
Taylor and her twins are still a big part, as well as Lee so it's good to stay in the know with them.

There's a lot going on, and when you think you're starting to work things out - something else happens and there's more question than answers.

An interesting read and I'm excited for what's to come.

Copy received from the authors. Voluntarily reviewing and all opinions are objective and my own.

I enjoyed this one more than I had the first two. I think the story was easier to fall into. I enjoyed the romance more. It was less complicated.

But I didn’t love it. I felt like the plot was building and building and then suddenly there. Almost felt rushed toward the ending. Chanda was where I struggled. I wanted to like her but most of the time, I didn’t. And I struggled to keep up with her changing emotions and personalities. We’re introduced to her as being more dominant than Jose, so at first, I loved when these two met each other again. Jose tries to be that and she just knocks him down a few pegs. But then later, it’s like she loses all of this characterization.

It’s a good book. A bit confusing with the whole series plot. The cliffhanger of all cliffhanger endings.

Book #3 in the series takes you back into the depraved world of The Illicit. You get a teacher/student, forbidden romance in Jose & Chanda’s story. These authors definitely know how to draw you in from the start, but then have you screaming in frustration by the end with those cliffhangers! Lol The suspense and non stop action and twists, made this book intriguing and left me with so many more questions. I have my suspicions, but can’t wait to read more.

I am saying a lot of “What the hell is happening??” every time I get a good mind-blowing cliffhanger which leaves me wanting more and that same feeling I got here. What?? I mean why?? It’s so jumbled up but in a good way. I thoroughly enjoyed the book, the twists and turns, and mystery deepening at every level were just wow.

Jose & Chanda are something else, the chemistry is firing like crackers but the circumstances around the story are full of fireworks which is not ready to stop. It keeps on going and going. The touch of forbidden fruit and the age gap spiced everything up.

I want to know more and I can’t wait to read the next book whenever it comes out. The cover is damm handsome and those eyes are just 🥵. Just a piece of advice, read these books in order of the series to get the maximum pleasure.

This book was a banger from start to finish! Reverse Age Gap, forbidden romance, angst, suspense, & spice!! This is the 3rd book in the Illicit series, which covers Chanda (Lee`s older sister) & Jose (a pledge of the brotherhood) & boy do they have the chemisty! You'll definitely be hanging onto the edge of your seat while reading this. I'm excited to find out what happens in the next book.

I highly suggest reading this series in order you get a better understanding of what is going on!

So pleased to be able to read another book by this wonderful duo. I really wanted more from the original threesome. I know we get to see them from an outsiders view here but it just wasn’t the same. I also really couldn’t connect with the characters this time. It was really fast paced and skipped a bit too much for me. I know it must be hard to write from a distance so I give them props for that. But I truly couldn’t focus on this one the way I hoped I would. I plan to give it some time and reread this, but I just don’t feel my judgment here is fair.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

This is the story of Jose and Chanda. He is a pledge to The Brotherhood and she is the woman that just might bring him to his knees. Jose's family has been disgraced. They were nearly pushed out of existence. Now he is here to bring honor to his family and he will do whatever he has to to do that. He will play the game but he never bet on Chanda. She is the woman that could possibly bring him to his knees. These two have some of the most amazing chemistry. It bleeds off the pages. Jose is a protector. A man who will go to great lengths to avenge his family name but he really is a man that you are going to want for your very own. Chanda is a special kind of crazy. She is ruthless and she really is not afraid to show it. If she wants something she will have it by any means necessary. She actually would love to do nothing more than take over the Illicit Brotherhood. However she never saw Jose coming. He is the man that makes her feel things she has never felt before and could possible derail everything she has planned. They have quiet the taboo relationship or I guess I should say one night together that was just supposed to be that. She is so unlike anyone that he has ever met. He is always so calm, cool, and collected and she makes him lose all of that when she is around. He is dominant and possessive but at the very heart of him he is a protector. I was hooked on this book from the very first page and I didn't lay it down. I devoured it. I have loved all the books in this series. You do not want to miss this book. If you haven't read the first two books in this series, Pledge Your Loyalty and Smoke the Enemy, you need to do that first. While these books focus on different people, some things carry over from the story in the previous book. I promise you you need this book in your life.

Trigger warnings: Murder (graphic), assault (graphic), dismemberment of a body (graphic), mafia stuff, abusive marriage (mentioned not shown), I'm sure there's more

What is the point of a book that is less than 200 pages? I was hesitant to read this since it is from the point of view of Chandra, (a character out of nowhere), and Jose (who is barely mentioned in the other two books). At first, it was nice to read from a strong FMC's point of view, but it quickly got old since she cried as much as she murdered. Seriously, she was bawling and screaming one minute, and the next, she had a gun in her hand, ready to kill someone. She was cold-hearted when SHE wanted to murder someone but then turned into a damsel in distress the moment someone else got hurt. It was just as bad as Taylor, if not worse. At least Taylor was an innocent church girl who had never harmed a fly, whereas Chandra had killed multiple people in cold blood. Jose wasn't so bad since he was basically like Steffan the whole time. The "love" between the two of them wasn't believable. The lust was, but not the love, these two have spent no time together except to bone.

The book moved at a regular pace then out of nowhere murdered a bunch of people and crap came out of nowhere. The first book was believable and suspenseful. The second one was believable and suspenseful but it felt like the authors had changed their minds on who the villain was going to be, which is insulting to the first book. This book? It takes a dump on all the others and says, "Let's have a free-for-all."

Whatever the next book has in store and who they say the killer is it won't feel believable or likely.

This was the third book in the Illicit Brotherhood series and I would read the first two books before reading this one as they end on cliffhangers and you will be confused if you read them out of order! The first two books we get the point of view of Taylor, Sorren, and Steffan.

In this book we follow Jose Succo (Succo being one of the found families) and Chanda Concord (another founding family). Lee Concord is in the fraternity with Jose and is Chanda's younger brother.

After an Illicit Gala Jose and Chanda hook up but later on discover who the other is and try to deem it not a good idea. However, when Jose finds out that Chanda is a new professor at the university he does everything he can to get around her including signing up for her class.

By both being part of the founding families and Jose being in the same fraternity as Sorren and Steffan they are involved in what is going around campus and Blue Rose. It was interesting to get their POV's though because I felt like they were more behind the scenes characters. However, Chanda had a lot of involvement which made her seem kind of sketchy to me!

Similar to the first two books in the series this one had just as many twists and turns...still leaving me with more questions than answers! Did I finish the first three books in this series in one setting? Yes. Did I regret it? No. On to book four!!!

Read this book if you like:

Having read Pledge Your Loyalty and Smoke The Enemy i've been looking so forward to more from this duo and series! As soon as this third installment was announced i wanted to read it. I picked it up and got right back into The Illicit Brotherhood world! I so enjoyed this story!

Chanda and Jose's journey grabbed my attention quickly! As these two collide, will they give into the forbidden? or were they doomed from the start? Who knows what all can happen in the Brotherhood.

I liked how quickly That i got into Chanda and Jose's story and the way these two are brought into each others lives. I wasn't sure how they'd handle everything between them and thrown their way which got me even more into their story. These two brought the intense spice with their chemistry! Both Chanda and Jose had me feeling many things. I so enjoyed the way these two and their story kept me on my toes.

I was glad to be back in The Illicit Brotherhood and reunite with some familiar faces!

With Crave The Illicit, Ms.Haris and Ms.Brooks have created such a good and dark addition to this series! I am so looking forward to more from this duo and world!

Be sure to read the trigger warning from the authors.

I absolutely love when these two authors get together and write because you know it will blow your mind. This is book is a age gap, forbidden, student/ teacher romance that will will have you loving every minute. This is a series that must be Read in order.

This is Jose and Chanders story and the chemistry between them both is sizzling hot. Chanda knows exactly what she wants and she is not afraid to grab it, she's strong and sassy and awesome while Jose is someone you can totally love, he is protective and that is a quality I absolutely love in guys too.
(NO SPOILERS)

I love the story line in this series and it keeps you guessing about everything that is going on, you think boom I know where I'm up to and then a big twist gets thrown in.
This book has nail biting suspense and will keep you hooked right from the beginning. It's full of twists and turns that the reader will not see coming either.

Wow, I have mad respect and admiration for these authors, their writing? Chef's kiss! The world-building? So well designed, I literally felt like /I/ am watching a movie unfold in my head, whilst devouring the pages.

Spice level 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story level ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Am I going to work my way through their backlist? YES!

Chanda is such a goddess! Fierce, and strong, caught my adoration at first glance.
The back & forth is so deliciously tasty, and my oh my, Jose?

My very first story of this trope (the reverse age part) and oh my gosh, I loved it! It's the first trip on my end, and I hope, not the last.
I need the next book! I have to see more.
Not going to lie, those twists had me gripping the Kindle, as it will somehow reveal the answers to me.
Chanda is unmatched, I love to see it, to see her thrive, despite what's meant to cage her, control her, but does it really?

Please, give me more!!! I have to know more! That cliff left me hanging in there, gasping, heart pounding...

It's a 10 out of 10 for me.

I flew through this story! Every time I tried to stop after a chapter some OMG moment would happen and I would have to keep reading to find out what happened. This story was mysterious and a little crazy on the intense scale! This book had a lot of OMG and WTF moments when it came to the mystery and the killer involved.

I loved the reverse age gap and the forbidden aspect of it. Chanda was spicy and quite sexy. I loved how assured of herself she was. She was very confident both in and out of the bedroom.

I loved how cocky Jose was, always giving Chanda smirks and little come ons. Yet he was also sweet and attentive, always knowing just what Chanda needed. My kind of guy!

My boy, Soren is still my favorite. The moments with him were perfection. His super cocky smirks and winks along with all the little jabs at Jose were my favorite parts.

This was a fantastic book. Fast paced and completely unpredictable. It was so well written that I really couldn't put it down! I am loving this series so much and can't wait for the next book!!! I would highly recommend it!

I have loved this series since I blindly dove into book one. While this one is about a separate couple, it is still entrenched in the mysteries of the series. This is Succo and Chanda's story and it is so action packed. We met Succo in the first 2 books as he is a pledge for the Brotherhood and a pivotal side character in both of those books. Chandra is Lee's older sister. She is a strong woman who has fought for her independence from her father and has no intention of giving that up-regardless of the cost. Their chemistry is fire. Their relationship is forbidden but that doesn't keep these two away from each other and thank goodness for that. This book starts with a bang and end with a bang. It's fast paced and really moves the overarching mystery of this series forward. Some bad guys get their dues and there are so many secrets revealed and other shockers that lead to more questions. that I need the next book yesterday.

Wow just wow - this series seriously just keeps getting better and better with every single installment . This time around we get Jose and Chanda’s journey and trust me when I say it was a emotional rollercoaster . Filled with suspense, secrets , lies , intrigue, murder , vengeance, non stop action, angst , heartbreaking and heartfelt moments, family, friendships, off the charts chemistry, second chances, wonderfully written characters that are so captivating, so unique and extremely multi layered and a storyline that will leave you speechless, that will blow your mind, that will keep you on the edge of your seat in anticipation of what’s to come, and will break your heart then so flawlessly put it back together. It has all of the above in spades. And on top of that it’s the perfect blend of so many of my go to tropes - dark reverse harem , student / teacher, and forbidden romance . It really doesn’t get much better then this

This is the 3rd book in the Illicit Brotherhood Series. We get to know more about Jose Succo and Chanda Concords story.

Jose is a pledge in the Brotherhood and ready to risk it all. You see that Jose is a beautiful soul and loyal to the end. Jose struggles to keep his cravings for his vixen a secret harder and just wants to be open about it

Chanda is ruthless with noticeably clear goals in taking down the brotherhood and is willing to do anything to achieve them. As a female she is trying to fight to be accepted within the brotherhood. Jose is her undoing – the forbidden one night turns into something more.

Again, we are left on cliffy and need the next book in the series ASAP.

This book is about Jose and Chandra, which is Lee's sister. It still flows with the story and you still hear about Soren, Steffan, and Taylor. But not as much. This is about Jose and his families story. And it really is just as good but you just feel a little disconnect because it's the same story following through but your changing the main characters without going back to some of the old characters and to me you just can't do that. We definitely get some answers in this book which I am glad of. And we get some closures. I mean some mysteries are amazing but some that go on to long can go on to long you know what I mean???....  Although besides all the killing and stuff I wouldn't mind going to this school...just for the hot guys and all steamy sexy times!!! I really can't wait for the next book!! I guess it might be the final one!

I guess it might be the final one!! ~By Tina

Jose did not come to play with the mouth on him, sweet lord. The spice is absolutely delicious with the reverse age gap, student x teacher, friends older sister situation Ashton and Gail give us. The chemistry is strong and the sizzle is hot.

Chanda is a strong woman who isn't afraid to go for what she wants but also leaned on Jose when she needed that comfort and support and I love that in a FMC. Hard when appropriate soft when needed. Her desire to make real waves within The Illicit is so intriguing and I'm desperate to see her succeed.

Even tho we aren't focused on the twins or Taylor, we still get a lot of them within this novella and the main plot from the previous two books is still very present. I did not expect to have a little cry whilst reading this either but iykyk. I'm very much looking forward to book four and maybe finally getting answers.

When I thought I knew who to trust and who not to trust, I was blindsided. This mystery suspense had me twisted around so much, I didn’t know if I was coming or going. All in a good way.
The unknown, the temptation, the fear, the confusion, all were on a level that kept me guessing and working out the puzzle in my head. This story was unpredictable.

Jose and Chandra are the focus as The Illicit Brotherhood continues to fix what’s broken. To capture and dispose of the killer. With more surprises showing up in unexpected places.

This forbidden love was chocked full of suspense and heat.
It’s a cliffhanger just like the others but a delicious one.
