Armenian contemporary poet, writer (born on 03 Feb., 1983, Vanadzor, Lori Region, Armenia
Karen Antashyan studied at Engineering University of Armenia from 1999 to 2005. During 2001-2004 he was actively engaged in organizational works of annual poetry, singing and dancing festivals by MASRENI cultural organization. During 2004-2005 worked at «Armenian Youth Forum» NGO engaged in student rights' defense as Project coordinator and Editorial Board Member of magazine «Usanoghi dzayn» (trans. Student's voice) by the NGO. He permanently lives in Yerevan since 2007. Karen Antashyan established Granish.org literary web site in 2009. The aim of the web site is publication of modern Armenian literature, as well as contemporary writers. Currently the web site is the most comprehensive and most read collection of Armenian literature online. Karen Antashyan, with his writer and literary critic colleagues established «Granish» literary community. «Granish» publishes series of magazines presenting topics on literary, artistic as well as public importance. Since 2013 Karen Antashyan has been member of the Board of Trustees of Boon TV. He is author of several e-literary projects. He is actively involved in rising and discussions of issues of public importance in Armenia in particular- this refers to issues of literary, ecological, human right defense. Member of Armenian PEN club. Karen Antashyan is involved in entrepreneurship activities.
