Soldier Doll

Rate this book
1971. Belfast is a city engulfed in sectarian violence. Car bombs, riots and revenge killings are the new normal as the British Army, sent to restore calm, patrols the streets.

Brenda MacRae, a university fresher, joins a peace movement. All she wants is an end to the fighting but, when she meets Andy, she becomes dangerously entangled in the very conflict she campaigns against.

Andy is a British soldier and strictly off-limits for Catholic girls like Brenda. Yet to her, he is a welcome contrast to local boys. He’s older, confident, attentive and easy to fall in love with. To her younger sister, Clare, he is simply the enemy. She sees any girl who dates a soldier as a traitor.

With the MacRae sisters pitted against each other, tensions escalate and relationships shatter. The question is, can they ever be repaired?

Soldier Doll is a gripping tale of love, hate, retribution, hope and healing.
