Stands on shoulders of First 90 days, but more specific. Annoying jamming of the self promotional TM throughout though.

Your first 100 days is a good guide of what to do on at the beginning of your new leadership role.

I found the book interesting for a couple of reasons. First, it is easy to read and most of the times it goes straight to the point. Many other management books could offer the same content in 25-50% less pages. In this case, I only saw repetition of concepts and ideas in a couple of instances (so I'd say the book could be shortened about 10-15 pages at most).

Secondly, I liked the fact that the book serves as a checklist of things to do. But also important is the fact that there are very clear timelines associated with each action, so it's easy to understand what the author's recommendations are.

Like every piece written by a consultant, this book includes a little bit of self-promotion and marketing that, in my opinion, should have been avoided.

At the end of the day, it is you as the new leader who needs to sit down and write your plan. But I find this book interesting as a guide not only to read once, but also to go back to as a reference when needed along the way.
