Commander Boone is grudgingly obligated to safeguard the Overlord’s “weapon” - an impetuous teen-aged girl with a deadly temper. When he realizes that such a weapon should not be in the hands of a madman, he risks everything to free them both from servitude. His plan is to deliver the girl to the rival overlord who created her, and with whom they have just gone to war.
Ingrid Moon is an author, educator, and scientist, among other things. Early indoctrination into science and speculative fiction led her to pursue science and technology as a career.
She lives in Los Angeles with her family and many, many (too many) cats, pigs, and squirrels, but she is not a crazy cat lady.
This is an enjoyable read from beginning to end. This will be going on my shelf of READ AGAIN! I found the book enticing, and well thought out. Nothing seemed out of place in the scenario. I can't wait to read another of her offerings.
