Twins, Erin and Sean Fitzgerald, have psychic powers; they can communicate with each other without speaking. They can also read and control other people's thoughts and move very heavy objects long distances. The Russians invite the Fitzgeralds to their country so they can study the twins. The Fitzgeralds escape when Erin and Sean "overhear" talk of killing them so that no other country can use their powers. Later, the family is on their way to an ESP conference in California. Their plane is shot down, and only the twins survive. Sean and Erin outsmart the Russian henchmen who are still on their trail, get to Berkley, and deliver part of the speech that their parents prepared for the conference. The twins reveal their role in changing a missile's course and their parents' plan for training other psychic twins to do the same in order to insure world peace. After the conference, the twins are kidnapped by the Russians. By combining their powers, Erin and Sean overcome their enemies for the last time.

Formulaic but action-packed and clever YA SF. My full-length review of this title is here.

Please note that my site SFReviews.net, in operation since July 2001, is where I post my SFF reviews, and I only use Goodreads to help direct interested fellow readers who are more likely to spend time here than following the site itself. Thank you. (If I review a non-SFF title, I will do so here.)
