Letto alle scuole medie, racconta la situazione di molti bambini nel dopoguerra italiano. Un romanzo di formazione molto malinconico, molto triste.
La narrazione si inserisce anche nel quadro di una fiducia nella politica di sinistra da parte della povera gente operaia, finendo con lo sfondo della storica alluvione del Polesine.

It was a very fast read and it felt like a breath of fresh as it was such a wholesome story. Everything points to disaster but it comes out to a happy ending. Really liked it, so so cute.
