Once again, Teen Ink assembles the voices of teens speaking from their hearts on topics of real importance. Teen Love and Relationships delves into the deepest corners of their souls to reveal many insights. Teens explore their relationships with a parent, friend, grandparent or acquaintance, as well as their connections with beloved pets, special teachers, caring doctors and even nature. Tales of fun family moments, painful times of leaving friends, and memorable accounts of magical or heartrending moments with a grandparent are revealed through poems, personal experiences and fiction. As in previous Teen Ink books, poignant photography and artwork capture teens' extraordinary talents and thoughts. The teen writers and artists in Teen Ink break the stereotypes society so often places in their paths. The powerful human emotions shared by all people are captured here by young voices unafraid to share their pain and triumphs. Teen Ink: Love and Relationships is a charming book, one that is filled with great poems and stories all written by teenagers. Most real stories, some fictional. I had a hard time putting this book down. My only complaint with the book is despite the title being "Love and Relationships" Almost no romantic relationships appear as subjects in the book. I imagine that it was a deliberate choice by the author, which is a little confusing. But overall, it's a great book.
Teen Ink Love and Relationships is a book that has a lot of relationship events that teens were gone through, and they were combined into one book. The inspiring story Sins of the Father written by Amilcar Silva was taken from the book Teen Ink. Have you ever felt that there is a new person in your life depending on you? That is the same way Amilcar felt when his ninth grade girlfriend got pregnant. Amilcar is one of the kids who has lived his life without a father, and he didn’t want to let his daughter down and leave her like his father did. He was determined to succeed, be a real man, and get his baby needs. When I read “My daughter is my son, my moon and stars- my motivation and the love of my life” goose bumps were all over me, and tears ran through my face. This story lists all of the cases any teenager would go through. It really effects you after reading it. You always think about the "so what?" of the story. Teen Ink- Love and Relationships is a must read. Pages literally turn themselves in this touching book about relationships. I strongly recommend Teen Ink to both teen male and female readers.
i think this book is pretty good. These writers really put there heart into some of these poems. i like the first one, its about a girl meeting a guy at a dance then a week later he calls her and from that day on. they talked every Day AT 8:30. THEN SOONER OR LATER THEY WERE DATEING. THEN A YEAR GOES BY AND SHE REALLY KNOWS HOW SHE FEELS ABOUT HIM AND WANTS TO BE WITH HIM FOR THE REST OF HER LIFE..
i am currently doing good on this book. there a poem i really like its about this little boys bad who attacks his aunt and he ends up going to jail for drugs and assault, the little boy then goes to foster care and his other aunt takes him in but then the husband doesn't like taking care of more kids so they get rid of them back to foster care. then two doors down the freinds take the kids in and they feel loved more then there own faimly.
10-12-11 i am doing pretty good, i have about 60 pages left. theres this one poem i am on right now. and its about a girl and a guy i think its about a break up and there in a car and its raining and its so quit you can hear every breath she takes. there's allot of sad poems in there but ones that could be used for lots of stuff
