The book I am reading is The NFL’s Top 100, which is a book about the best NFL players from 1-100. The book tells you about the NFL player’s stats and their life as an athlete. The Author of the book is James Buckley, and the reason he made this book is to inform readers what rank the players in the NFL are. I like this book because even though I am not thinking to play in the NFL, I am interested in knowing who are the best that ever played the game of football. The other reason why I picked out this book is because I like to read sports book. The NFL player that was named the overall number one best NFL player all time in this book is Jerry Rice.
My favorite NFL player of all time is No. 21, 5 ft. 10 in San Diego Chargers running back LaDainian Tramayne Tomlinson he was born June 23 1979. LaDainian was born in rosebud, Texas he grew up to be a good NFL player. He played in the NFL for 11 seasons for the San Diego Chargers which is my favorite team might I add. He was a good and effective passer on halfback option plays; he threw seven successful touchdown passes to rank second with Walter Payton. Tomlinson is also ranked for being fifth in Career rushing yards (13,684), Seventh in all-purpose yards (18,456), Second career rushing (145) touchdowns, and third in total touchdowns. LaDainian now serves as an NFL analyst prior to his retirement in 2011.
LaDainian went to TCU for his college career; he led the TCU Horned Frogs to their first Sun Bowl win in 41 years against the USC Trojans. He also gained awards from his college career such as the Consensus first-team All-American (2000), Mobile Alabama Bowl MVP (2000), Doak Walker Award (2000), Jim Brown Trophy (2000), Senior Bowl Most Valuable Player (2001). Tomlinson was drafted in 2001 Round: 1 Pick: 5 by the San Diego Chargers. The Chargers traded their draft pick with the Atlanta Falcons which the Falcons selected Michael Vick. In his rookie season he became the starting running back and he also ran for 1,236 yards on a horrible team. In 2003 he became the first player in NFL history to rush for 1,000 yards and 100 receptions in the same season.
The Greatest NFL Player of all time, Wide Receiver Jerry Rice No. 80, 19. Jerry Rice 6Ft. 2in. was born on October 13, 1962 in Crawford, Mississippi. He developed his good catching hand from working with his father, he was drafted in 1985; Round 1, Pick 16 to the San Francisco 49ers. He played for 20 seasons but he did not play for the 49ers for his whole career, he also played for the Oakland Raiders (2001–2004), Seattle Seahawks (2004), Denver Broncos (2005). Rice struggled during his rookie season then later in that season he impressed the NFL with a game which he scored 10 catches and 241 yards against the Los Angeles Rams in 1985. Jerry Rice gained a handful of awards such as Rated #1 NFL Player of all-time by NFL.com, 13× Pro Bowl, 12× All-Pro, 3× Super Bowl champion (XXIII, XXIV, XXIX), Super Bowl XXIII MVP, 2× AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year, 3× NFC Offensive Player of the Year, Pro Bowl MVP, PFWA MVP, UPI NFC Player of the Year, UPI NFL-NFC Rookie of the Year, Bert Bell Award, NFL 75th Anniversary All-Time Team, NFL 1980s All-Decade Team, NFL 1990s All-Decade Team, San Francisco 49ers #80 retired, Pro Football Hall of Fame (2010 Inductee), NFL's all-time leader in receptions, yards, and touchdowns.
The book NFL’s Top 100 is a good book for people interested in the NFL and sports to read, because it gives them information about the greatest to ever play football. Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not? Yes I would recommend this book to a friend, because a lot of my friends watch the NFL and I am positive they would be interested in knowing the best players to play the game of football. I would read this book over and over again because I like this book a lot.

Very interesting that a few of the players that I thought would make the top 100 were not on there and few that I thought should haven't. Some facts, quotes etc about each player. I also liked how they designed the book. i.e. that if the player played on more that one team they showcased that with the team name and logo.
