Pisces warrior Drake Campbell and his zodiac brethren have driven themselves to the edge. He'd love to take comfort in the arms of the woman he cares for, if only she would lift her emotional barriers to him.
White witch Emerson Carano has more to worry about than the Pisces warrior. Their affair may be red-hot, but she keeps the sexy man at arm's length to avoid getting hurt. When her estranged brother, Magnus, suddenly reappears—wielding a dangerous dark magic—Emerson has no choice but to ask Drake and his brothers for help.
Long-buried secrets and dangerous alliances will threaten the very foundation of the warriors while striking at the heart of Emerson's carefully constructed world. Can she put aside her fears to join forces with the only man who can help her—even if her own family must pay a terrible price?
Addison Fox can’t remember a time when words weren’t a part of her life. After she makes them work for it, of course!

I really wanted to give thie one a 5 star rating, but I just couldn't. I like Drake and I was so excited to read his story. Well, I still like Drake and I did enjoy his story, but for me there wasn't really a great or solid ending. There was also a lot of set up for what will most likely be the next book (Grey). While I have no problem with the side story to set up the next book (this is how life goes and the stories are related so it fit well) I didn't always feel there was enough concentration on Drake and Emerson.
The story is well done and is told in a similar voice to the first ones and I am still a fan of the series. This book however concentrates on Eris as the "big bad" rather than on Enyo and it was different in the overall tone because of that. While Drake and Emerson get to a place they can both be happy with and the relationship will clearly move forward with both of them participating equally, there wasn't really any resolution on the point that Emerson is mortal and Drake is not. This was a huge sticking factor for Emerson and the final decision doesn't really resolve that concern - although it does leave a method od resolution open for a future time of Drake and Emerson's choosing. I can work with it, but it is a little disappointing not to have that worked out. My guess is that it will be a factor in a future book some how.
The ending that leads us to what I suspect is the next book is a small cliff hanger and I am looking forward to seeing where the story goes from here and how this situation gets resoloved. Still a book well worth recommending, it just didn't have the definitive ending I would have preferred for Drake and Emerson. It felt a little unfinished to me.
3.75 stars...An overall great story with lots of fun plot twists...hated the ending for several reasons least of which was the abruptness...the end just sorta came outta nowhere without really telling us how the lovers' story really ends... looking forward to the next book though
I felt truly connected to Emerson as I have a similar relationship with my own brother. It meant a lot to feel a personal kinship with a story that reflects events occurring with me.
This one crAmmed 3.different love stories in it.. Kind of a mess. Heard to keep up with the constant changes but it bases non mushy ending!!! Liked the added magic parts..
Warrior Enchanted is the fourth book in Addison Fox’s Warriors of the Zodiac Series. It is one of those series that is flying under the radar and yet completely pulling at me. I have waited ever so patiently for this last installment to come out and am very glad that I finally got my hands on it.
The Warriors of the Zodiac series is one of those series that takes Greek Mythology and expands it. Some series twist and turn the greeks, some completely ignore who and what they are but the Warriors, like I said expand upon Greek Myths.. It is based on a deal between Themis, goddess of Justice and Zeus.. Themis is allowed to balance out the trials and tribulations the gods have upon the humans but is only allowed to maintain balance she is not allowed to actually win anything. With Zeus’ backing she creates the Warriors giving each warrior a zodiac sign. Now comes the fun part. While each warrior’s personality already equates with the characteristics of the sign applied.. ie, Quinn, the Taurus is quite bull headed and stubborn (easiest to explain).. they also receive a “living” Tattoo.. this tattoo is linked with their aura and can come alive when called.
Warrior Enchanted tells us the story of Drake, the Pieces or fish boy as he is so lovingly called *grins* and Emerson the friendly witch next door. Both have appeared in previous stories and their story has been well set up so that when we begin their book we already understand who and what they are (suggestion read the first three books first).
Drake, originally a soldier with Alexander the Great, searched for years to find Themis and request a place on one of her Zodiac teams.. he dreams of more than just mindless fighting. He seeks purpose. Once he is accepted he spends the next few thousand years fighting at the side of his Warrior brothers, working towards obliterating the evil perpetrated by Enyo, goddess of war and destruction. For the most part Drake is just about the most even tempered of all the Warriors until he finds himself fighting a battle he just can’t seem to win. Getting Emerson to commit to him.
Emerson, a powerful white witch from a family of powerful white witches. She is sure that no one can love her for who she is. That at best all she can have is affection from a person she chooses to sleep with. Emotional battering from loved ones teaches her to protect her talents and never share who and what she really is. Or if someone learns a bit to never share the extent of her talent. She has built a wall around herself that even the most patient of Warriors can not scale.
And yet, as they stumble upon a series of unrelated events that drag them farther and farther into the battle they learn.. they must tear down walls, accept who the other is and learn to fight together. Individually they are strong together they are astounding. They are stumbling in the dark as to who their true enemies are and it takes a while to realize that this time Enyo is out of the picture and that they are fighting her sister, Eris, the goddess of discord.. she just likes to stir things up. Oh sure people occasionally die but really she’s just after a good time making a mess of things.. In some ways Eris is a sympathetic character, always in the shadow of her sister and just wanting a little attention and I keep wondering if redemption is eventually in store for her.. but for this battle she is the queen of slight of hand.
Along with batting evil, Emerson must face herself and her family.. she must accept who and what she really is as well as who and what they are. Accept that she can not save them all and that she can not expect them to live to her standards.. Ms Fox does a wonderful job of intertwining, family, friends and fury all into this story. We feel Emerson’s insecurities, we understand her need to save her brother and slap her sister or is it save her sister and slap her brother? *grins* The family dynamics are fantastic and not just on Emerson’s side. We see the family that has been created by the Warriors and how they too can fight the bonds that are there. And yet as often as those bonds are tested they love and support each other.
I know this is a quiet series, one not as well publicized as some of the other ones but I feel Ms Fox gets it right. She manages to take the Greek Myths and use them in a freshly unique and totally enjoyable manner. Even going so far as to introduce the 13th Zodiac sign in this book. Excellently combining Greek Mythos with modern legend.. I would suggest you all check out this series..
Warrior Enchanted, Sons of the Zodiac, by Addison Fox Grade: C
“I know what I saw. The smelly, oily fish has a girlfriend.”
Drake Campbell has been sleeping with his neighbor Emerson Carano for over a year but what Drake really wants is to take their relationship to the next level. Emerson has spent her life keeping people at a distance and no matter how hard she tries with Drake he refuses to let her keep up her carefully constructed wall up. Drake and Emerson’s relationship is soon the least of their problems as old secrets arise and a new enemy has their sights set on the Themis’s warriors.
Warrior Enchanted is the fourth book in Addison Fox’s Sons of the Zodiac series and if you have not read this series I do not recommend reading this book. This book is in no way, shape or form a stand alone and if you try to read it without the previous books you will be LOST. I spent two hundred out of three hundred and fifty pages trying to figure out what was going on and who was who. I think that if I had read the books in order I would have liked this one better.
I really like the concept of the series and I am very excited to read the next book in the series. I am a big fan of astrology and greek mythology and this series is packed with it. My biggest problem with the book was with Emerson. I found her to be very whiny and she seemed to repeat herself over and over again. After a while she sounded like a broken record and I really wanted Drake to toss her out of his brownstone. Why Drake kept fighting to be with her I have no idea and it made for a very long book.
There are a couple side stories that kept this from being a complete failure. Mrs. Fox did an amazing job at setting up the next book for Grey and Finley and I found myself much more interested in their story then Drake and Emerson. I also really enjoyed Emerson’s family especially her relationship with her sister. This is the only thing that kept me from really disliking her.
As I mentioned before this is not a stand alone and the series should be read in order. This series has great potential and I am eagerly awaiting the next installment.

Warrior Enchanted by Addison Fox Paranormal Romance –May 1st, 2012 4 stars
Addison Fox writes another stirring Sons of Zodiac novel as a Hot Roman warrior with a deep well of honor makes this book an instant winner. This book can easily be read as a stand alone but will make new readers want to read the rest!
Drake was given a second chance at life by the Goddess Themis. In return he pledged his service to her and he was also given powers to save humanity. Drake constantly risks his life to save others. The only thing he craves for himself beyond the need for justice are the beautiful arms of the white witch Emerson Carano.
But Emerson only wants him for sex!! But when her brother mysteriously appears and seems involved in dark practices, Emerson becomes concerned. She soon finds herself out of her depth and Emerson discovers herself getting closer to Drake. Will Emerson finally trust Drake and open herself to love? Thinks get more complicated when the powerful Goddess of Discord named Eris starts interfering to get her magical apple back as kidnapping and mayhem follow. Drake is hot, Hot, HOT! He is hunky, noble and very caring of Emerson. I was captivated by his loyalty, trustworthiness and deep integrity. On the other hand, Emerson takes a while to warm up to. She treats Drake like a sex object and is very unwilling to open herself up to him. I felt terribly bad for Drake who doesn’t seem to ask anything for himself. I wanted him to have a soul mate who could match him and I never felt Emerson quite did. But Emerson is feisty and keeps him on his toes. As Emerson grows and allows herself to love and risk, the story gets more involving. The plot also gets more interesting as Emerson’s brother and the interfering Goddess of Discord add a lot of strife and uncertainty.
Those who love Greek mythology will love this larger than life hero. It reminded me of Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dark Hunters.

I really think Addison Fox has finally hit her stride with her Sons of Zodiac series here in book 4: Warrior Enchanted.
I could not put this book down once I started it. It's fast paced, hot, and it's got more than one storyline in it to keep you interested. The only 'downside' is the end, it kind of leaves you hanging.
But here we see the Pisces Warrior Drake Campbell hooking up with the little witch next door Emerson, and things are not quite a match made on Olympus. What started out as mind blowing, no-strings-attached-sex, has developed into something more, and it scares the hell out of our current leading lady.
So that's THE thing that keeps these two apart for so much of the book. She's fierce, independent, and has this hang up that no man could love her as his equal with all the magic mojo she can wield so she tends to keep members of the opposite sex at a very, very large distance.
Of course that kind of thing never really lasts long around a man who can melt your panties with a glance.
And to complicate matters, Emerson's black sheep of a brother comes back into the picture as a Warrior bitch boy to Eris, turns out Eris is shacking up with one of the Warriors, and it looks like another Warrior loses the chance to be with his lady for all eternity when she's shot dead in front of him. That's the cliffhanger folks, and its a damned good one! She's dead at the end, the Warrior is trying to bargain with Themis, and then the curtain falls on book 4.
All in all, my favorite of the series so far. I'm really looking forward to book 5, and with all the set up in this one and Book 3 Warrior betrayed, I have no clue who's going to be the next star of the show, but I can't wait to find out.
Enjoy folks.

I started this series because the Greek Mythology basis drew me. Add to that, the fact that the warriors are based on a Zodiac sign gave this series an interesting spin. This is the 4th in the series and it is an easy read, but almost to easy. We already knew who Drake and Emerson were from the last book, so there was already that familiaraity with them....not many surprises. Which is probably why I didn't really find myself engrossed in it. The side story of Grey and Finley was far more exciting, which we are left waiting for their full story for the next book. Drake and Emerson's story, for me, ended rather abruptly, we were in the middle of the climactic end, and "poof" done. Really? I felt like I missed out on something. Oh well, not all stories are thrilling, page turning hits, but are still a semi-important stage in the series. Eris is making her own play against the Warriors, and has a new weapon with Magnus. Looking forward to what happens next....
I hate books that end like this. I loved Emerson and Drake and the book was just what I hoped for from this series, but...
Emerson is a mortal and Drake is an immortal, at the end of the book he plans to go to Themis to give up his immortality, which is fine - I'd rather Emerson become immortal but whatever - but it's not finalised at the end of the book which means I don't know what happens. That's a bad cliffhanger to leave me with I need to know that neither of them will be left to mourn and they can grow old together (whether or not they age).
Argh - the ending only offers up more questions! My heart bleeds for Gray and wonder what Addison Fox has up her sleeves for him.
And Rogan! She sure knows the way to keep readers anticipating her books!
Emerson is a neat difference in the heroine department. Unlike the others she is aware and use to the "paranormal" element of the world. She's a witch so that sort of puts her right smack dab in the middle.
yeah I got a little tired of her intentions of keeping Drake back. Then figured it all stemmed back to her mother's disappearance. That perhaps she formed that "If I love them then they'll leave me and hurt me" mentality.
I admit to being a great fan of this series. The mix of mythology, technology, romance, and the occasional touch of magic is nigh irresistable, and Addison Fox doesn't let her readers down with this newest addition to the pantheon of Zodiac Warriors--although the ending had me ready to tear my hair! Not that the ending is unsatisfying. Quite the contrary. However, the clues it contains for the next story are just enough to whet the appetite, but not enough to make the wait bearable.
I don't read a ton of paranormal but I did find this premise interesting. Really liked the sexy, alpha hero and the heroine was tough and strong and sassy. The plot was unique. I did get frustrated with their relationship-- she had feelings for him throughout the book but wouldn't admit it, wouldn't accept that he could handle the relationship-- that got a little tiring. But I did enjoy the book and am intrigued by the other "warrior brothers" and their wives. I read this one first, but will go back to the first three when I need another paranormal fix.
Ms. Fox has once again drawn me into her world of sexy Zodiac warriors with the story of Pisces warrior, Drake and his white witch Emerson. And boy do they have a big slithery problem to handle in more ways than one! Cannot wait for the next book!! If you haven't read this series this is only book four, five with the ebook novella! Never too late to start a new author and series! Ms. Fox writes sexy men that make you wish you were the heroine!
I was about to rate it with 3 stars (because lets be realistic, Drake and Emerson couldn´t have been more boring) but the epilogue was the redemption. I´m extremely excited to read the book with Grey and Finley. I hope the author writes it...
While I really enjoyed the story it was left in an awkward place. I just cant believe that this is the end of the series. There is no indication that the author is going to continue the series. I cant accept that this is the end. I need more about the warriors.
Loved this book. Being a Pisces myself, I could relate to Drake. Again, Addison did a great job. Bringing lots of twists and turns. I can't wait for the next one.
I Hope and PRAY that there will be more books to the series. So I just found out there may be more books to come have to wait and see but if more books do come please dont make them depressing
The fourth in Addison Fox’s exciting Sons of The Zodiac series features Pisces warrior Drake Campbell. In desperate love with the proverbial woman next door, Drake has been driven to the edge, but never to the point Emerson Carano drives him. The author does an excellent job of developing her characters and propelling the story. A stirring read with an unbeatable combination of action and passion. In love with a woman who refuses to share anything but her body with him, Drake is frustrated in matters of the heart. When white witch Emerson’s black sheep brother comes back home with dark magic in tow, she seeks help from Drake and his brothers. Dark secrets threaten them all as Emerson comes to terms with her fear of a broken heart in order to allow Drake to help her and her family.
