Masashi Kishimoto (岸本斉史 Kishimoto Masashi) is a Japanese manga artist, well known for creating the manga series Naruto. His younger twin brother, Seishi Kishimoto, is also a manga artist and creator of the manga series O-Parts Hunter (666 Satan) and Blazer Drive. Two of his former assistants, Osamu Kajisa (Tattoo Hearts) and Yuuichi Itakura (Hand's), have also gone on to moderate success following their work on Naruto.
Kishimoto's first work as a manga artist was Karakuri (カラクリ?), which he submitted to Shueisha in 1995. This earned him the Weekly Shōnen Jump's monthly "Hop Step Award" in 1996, granted to promising new manga artists. This was followed in 1997 by a pilot version of Naruto (NARUTO-ナルト-), published in Akamaru Jump Summer. In 1998, Kishimoto premiered as a Weekly Shōnen Jump artist with a serialized version of Karakuri in Weekly Shōnen Jump, but it proved unpopular and was canceled soon after. In 1999, a serialized version of Naruto began publication in Weekly Shōnen Jump and quickly became a hit.
This was a really fun and quick read. "Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow" is one of my favorite movies. It was really fun to see it in a different media.
Though, this might not have been the best rendition of the film. It's all screenshots, which wouldn't be bad if there wasn't transitions missing. Ex: the scene from the film where Naruto stands up in front Yukie and blocks her from Doto's view doesn't hit the same here. The panel from a shot of Yukie to Naruto to Doto. It doesn't give it the same punch and I think it would've been if it been drawn in true manga form.
Also, some lines that were in the film, were missing here. For example, when Naruto and Yukie beat the train. In the film, Naruto laughs and says, "told you we'd make it." In this, he does laugh, but he doesn't say the line and Naruto comes off like the Joker.
This has always been one of my favorite Naruto mangas - possibly because of all of the snow lol.
There is just something that I've always really loved about this one. That being said, rereading it now, I do notice some weak points that are a result of it being an ani-manga. While I love that it's in color, the picture is fuzzy and muddy at times and the pacing at times can be off because they had to reformat a movie as a book. The book is also missing a lot of the sounds that get from the movie that really make the story come alive.
This is actually, one of the few instances where the movie is genuinely better than the book. I do think the book can be enjoyed without watching the movie, but the movie is where the story really comes to life.
This story is so dumb but I can’t help but love it. I wish I had a copy of the DVD but I can live with just the ani-manga (which means it’s a manga using screen caps from the movie)
Naruto represent a important part of my life. Esta película nos muestra la travesía de nuestro personaje principal a través de un viaje en el adquiere conocimientos y experiencias invaluables. Sin duda una película que no se pueden perder, les va a gustar, tiene acción, drama, relleno, entre otros. 🤓🤓
This book is a really good book and does not take place in the original story this is kinda like a side story, but is a actually a movie. So it is the same as usual the main character is Naruto, and his team were assigned to a A-rank mission and it is to go protect a movie actress name Yuki. Then later in the book some problems happen there are three snow ninjas or shinobi who are trying to capture Yuki for something. Although Naruto and his team defeated the three snow ninjas and then went after the leader. Then once the leader captured Yuki the villain did not get what he originally wanted, and after that Naruto had to go fight the leader so that he does not kill Yuki. But the ending is really good. I like this book because I like where it takes the setting and the technology that were showed in the book and I would prefer this book to people who like manga's and anime.
