Kate is a minister’s wife and when they get home from vacation they find the library is packing and only has a week to get out. Kate tries to find out why they have to move. Her friend the librarian won’t talk because she is afraid she will lose her job. Kate’s husband is putting a new roof on for a family with financial problems. It all ties together to a plot to gain money for a greedy man. interesting side stories about squrriels and a tornado that almost kills Kate and her husband.
