As they struggle to keep peace in their community, Kate and Paul realize that sometimes God sends angels where you least expect them.

This story was painful second rate writing. It did have a plot but one that was so predictable that the book would have been better advertised as a read for a young adult. This book features a reverend's wife, who is also the free "parish help-mate" in church tradition of hiring a married pastor in the hope of a "two-for-one" financial grab, living in a small mountain parish. Although a lot of "good Christian verses" are spoken and "giving gestures" are made I find that this woman is false, her supposed thoughtfulness is made in the hope of gleaning tidbits of information on newcomers and residents' pasts that she then fuels her speculation with. She is intrusive, suspicious and noisy. I cannot understand how we are suppose to like her, let alone emulate her Christian behavior and "grace". This book is part of a series, one that I will not bother looking at in the future.
