Swami Ranganathananda (1908–2005), born Shankaran Kutty, was a Hindu monk of the Ramakrishna Math order. He served as the 13th president of the Ramakrishna Math and Mission.

Outstanding, modern explanation with practical examples. Good book to start understanding Bhagavad Gita message.

First volume covers introductory commentary and first four chapters of Gita. The book will immensely help any one who is looking for a gita philosophy that can be used in daily life. The book is based on the gita classes of the respected author. I only wish the book is finely edited by the publisher in next editions. Overall, an excellent book.
