When chatty Miss Prim sets out to save Slim, a cowboy who has been captured by a band of cattle rustlers, the outlaws decide to capture her as well--until her constant lecturing drives the rustlers to set everyone free.
My 5 year old son picked this out at the library because it had horses on the back cover. I absolutely loved this. All of my kids loved it as well. It was written in rhymes. It was certainly not what I expected from two guys (the author and the illustrator). It was a great story. We really enjoyed the fabulous pictures. This is one of my favorites...ever.
This book was a little too long to keep my 5-year-old's attention (or maybe he just didn't like it) but I thought it was cute.
"On a ranch near the mountains a cowboy named Slim worked for a lady named Marigold Prim. He mended her fences and herded her cattle and listened at length to Marigold's prattle."
This rhyming story is about a shy, crooning cowboy and his overly-talkative boss, Miss Prim. Through a series of kidnapping and cattle rustling, the two finally get together to have their happy ending.
So Cute! About a cowboy is is crazy for a very uptight lady who is captured by bandits. When he goes to rescue her she is practically leading the camp. Very cute and funny.
3.75 Stars I cute story about a lady and a cowboy kidnapped by bandits. The story is all in rhyme (which are awkward at times) but the pictures are fun! I enjoyed this one!
