A unique anthology of South Asian Poetry in Britain. It combines the best of poetry in 1. English (6 poems) 2. Bangla (8 poems) 3. Gujrati (1 poem) 4. Hindi (6 poems) 5. Punjabi (5 poems) 6. Urdu (16 poems) It reflects the selected works of over 100 poets who gathered together at the Watermans Arts Centre in April 1995. The works of 30 poets were selected and the English translations, approved by the poets, printed alongside their work. The adviser to the editorial committee was headed by Professor Rupert Snell, head of Department of languages and Cultures, School of Asian and Oriental Studies of the University of London. The event and the publication of the book has been sponsored by London Borough of Hounslow, in particular Mr Chamanlal Chaman, Arts and Venue Section
