This book was cute and fun, seemingly taking inspiration from Wizard of Oz and maybe some of Alice in Wonderland. It's cute how the story is told inside another story, and told as if telling to younger children. The contrast between the 'Hard-Knock Life" girls' home and the whimsical dreamworld is a striking one, but it works well. This is honestly perfect for any kid just getting into chapter books, or anyone looking for a cute read to keep you entertained for a few hours. Well done.
