If your child has trouble saying “no,” goes along with the crowd, or struggles to make decisions with confidence, LIGHT was written for them.
Created by Trish Michael, a survivor, mom, and advocate for emotional safety, LIGHT is a beautifully illustrated children’s book that teaches kids
Trust their inner voice Recognize right from wrong Set and keep healthy boundaries Speak up with courage—and kindness
Through gentle rhymes, empowering messages, and vibrant artwork, LIGHT shows children that it’s okay to say “no” without guilt and “yes” to what’s right for them. The relatable story provides a practical and heart-centered system for building self-trust and emotional strength.
Perfect
✅ Ages 5+ ✅ Empathetic kids who want to please everyone ✅ Children learning to navigate peer pressure ✅ Parents, counselors, and educators teaching emotional resilience
Give your child the words, confidence, and courage to protect their light—and let it shine bright.
Light unfortunately missed the mark for us. The themes felt quite intense and emotionally heavy for a children’s book, and the messaging didn’t feel especially empowering or comforting for younger readers navigating difficult emotions or family situations. The vocabulary also seemed better suited to older children, though I felt the overall tone may be too heavy for that age group as well.
