Marla Mason, former Sorceress Supreme of Felport, recently exiled to a lavish resort at a tropical Hawaiian island. Day after day of beautiful days and drinks with coconut milk and Kona coffee and macadamia nut pancakes and slices of pineapple, all while surrounded by happy people. Naturally, she hates it. She doesn't know what to do with all this free time; she wants to feel useful again. She wants a purpose. Since this is a short story, it' isn't long before she finds it. Since this is set in Hawaii, she finds it in the form of a shark god who's looking for someone who stole his teeth and a sorcerer who stole a bookshop by folding space to escape having to pay the rent on primo real estate. Looks like Marla Mason has a new career as an occult private investigator.

Cute little filler story setting up for the next novel, which will occur following the major changes of Broken Mirrors.
