The novel started pretty bad, with the setting and a bad character introduction. It was so slow-paced and dull that I almost deleted the book from my kindle. Thankfully enough I didn't and I gave the novel the chance to redeem itself, and that she did. From Godou's return to Japan, the story picked up the pace and it became more fast-paced. We are introduced to (not very surprising) Godou's little sister and his playboy grandfater -> great comedy relief character. And then another clichéd character is introduced the ugly duckling. Just kidding, the top-model-sempai-who-is-very-innocent. Also Erica is a tsundere character and for them is a cliché that they are blonde, guess what she is. Even after so many clichés I gave the novel a chance and finished reading it pretty quickly at the end. What was really surprising it was the interchange between the POVs. Also the grand battle was a complete surprise since they had a verbal battle. The epilogue was another cliché, the-beautiful-exchange-tsundere-student, yada yada yada. All-in-all it was a fun read and I would recommend it, for a leisurely reading it one rainy afternoon by the fire.
Fun read with some insight of world mythos but some annoying charactor's trait may turn someone off. Narrated well despite being light novel. Heroeins aren't just there as love interest but all has interesting background and personality. Eventhough sometimes the description of their action is too over the top and forced.
I would reccomend this read for the fans of series similar to manga (Shounen one with strong heroes) the harem element is a bit exaggerate but not without convincing background story (the main heroine get 4 volumes to back their current relationship prior to the story).
