If you are a Christian and struggle with weight or low self esteem this book is for you. This is not a diet book. This is human body owners manual straight from the bible. I highly recommend it!

This is a difficult book to rate. The first half of the book was filled, not with new info, but with meaningful applications of well-known verses. Toward the second half, I began to notice some repetition, but the bigger concern was that the proportion of quotations (from scripture) to the author's work was more than 75% quotations. Sure, her main points were dependent on scriptural truths, but quoting entire chapters of the Bible seemed like a fluff method to me. Additionally, the author states in her preface that she is simple, and doesn't worry about the grammar that she doesn't know. That fact became more and more obvious, and distracting, as the book went on. My takeaway is that the book is great for a daily reminder as you embark on a weight-loss journey, but it isn't written very well, and you could get just as much from reading certain chapters on your own.

I've read many Christian weight management books, this by far is the best! It is full of God's truths and how to apply it to our lives.
