She knew her baby was perfect. She knew she trusted Cade with her life. She thought her name was Sara.
Everything else was a mystery. And most confusing of all were the emotions that Cade's glance, his words... his touch stirred within her. Because based on a crumpled note, Cade believed she was married -- to his estranged brother. Sara didn't want to believe it, but without her memory, she couldn't prove him wrong. Snowbound with Cade and her newborn son, Sara needed to fight past her fears to the truth. Because her growing feelings for Cade were anything but sisterly....
I didn't hate it, but I'm not sure i liked it either. I'm annoyed, but I got sucked in too the story so I figure that deserves 3 stars. Almost every single conflict in this story only existed in the MCs heads. And I got real sick of them blathering about it. But I liked the baby parts and it made me chuckle a couple times.
Plus, there was this line about family card games which is GOLD:
"Granddad was the best. Used to pop out his glass eye and polish it on his sleeve, all the while with a face blank as a stone wall. Tell me that didn't ruin your concentration."
I've read thousands of romance novels and I love to run across one that has some kind of twist that sets it apart from all the others. This isn't your run-of-the-mill amnesia story. Not only does the heroine not remember anything, but she and the hero are pretty sure that she's married to his brother. Regaining her memory really doesn't solve their problems. It's a sweet story, and not really a light, humorous one, so if that's what you're looking for, you may want to look elsewhere.
