Tangled Expectations

Rate this book
Crying women are my kryptonite. Which is why I ditch my friends to check on the dark-haired woman in the corner of the bar. And the moment she hits me with those glassy doe eyes, I’m done for.

Just one incredible night together, and I know Maggie Levandoski is it for me. But due to some bad luck when my cell phone goes missing and really bad timing with a family tragedy, I lose her contact information.

After weeks of searching for my real life Cinderella, I find her again in the middle of a busy New York street. Only to discover she believes I ghosted her for two months, and she’s moving away.

Because she’s pregnant.

With my baby.

Content Note: Tangled Expectations is a fast burn between a divorcée and a hopeless romantic. Be aware this is a surprise pregnancy romance with a traumatic birth experience, so please read with care.

๋࣭ ⭑ If you tell me your book has accidental pregnancy trope, I'm the first in line to check it out... I'm serious. ๋࣭ ⭑

Tangled Expectations was a book I did not know about a week ago. I saw a tweet from the author describing the book and I responded. Sophie kindly sent me an arc and I STARTED IT RIGHT AWAY. Look, sometimes you can expect the unexpected from me lmao. I don't usually start books right away whenever I get them but I had just finished reading my last read and this wasn't very long so I started reading.

It was amazing. I REGRET NOTHING. I LOVED IT SO MUCH.

I'm so happy I saw this on my timeline! I couldn't stop reading it and finished it very quickly. I loved the characters, the situation, the plot, the romantic scenes, everything. It was so fun to read and I highly recommend everyone to pick it up when it's out. It does feature accidental pregnancy so if you don't like the trope, you probably won't like the book lol.

Wes and Maggie were so cute together. One of my favorite couples for sure. SOULMATES EXIST! Two books in a row with soulmate trope??? I'm living the time of my life right now. So, Wes and Maggie meet one night after he finds her crying at a bar because her dating-app hook-up left her hanging and he is so sweet and kind and accompanies her back to her place. One thing leads to another and they have a one-night stand. They literally think and feel like they're soulmates, like they are each other's person. But then the next day, she gives him her contact info and so many things happened to him after that (he gets his phone stolen, loses her info, and can't remember her last name). YEAH, DISASTER!

Maggie thinks Wes has ghosted her (for two months sobs) after the best night of her life. And then she finds out she's pregnant with his baby. I loved Wes finding out about it because he quickly becomes everything you want in a guy who is having a baby. He takes cares of her, tells her to move in with him, cooks for her every night, is affectionate with her, and loves her and the baby completely. I adored Wes and he was such a good dude to root for.

I also loved seeing Wes's family welcome Maggie immediately. She deserves all the love and deserves to find a family of her own and you get so emotional when you see it happening with Wes, but also with his crew, his family, and his friends. They are so happy for them and want the best for Maggie too, so it's so sweet to experience alongside Maggie all that love for her when she has never felt it before.

NO THIRD-ACT BREAKUP! For the ones who don't have a liking for the third-act breakup, this one doesn't have any. But it does feature a scene with complications in delivery of the baby. It's hard and scary and I cried. If you're not comfortable reading it, I say skip it.

Overall, this book was like a cozy blanket to cuddle with - soft, warm, and there for you when you need it the most.

I have not read this, I am just judging the book by the cover: it says Tangled Expectaions. Seems a bit, um, careless.

Edit:they have fixed it now

”it’s my favorite thing, loving you.”

3.5 stars

saw an early review for this one that resulted in an immediate download on release day. as a surprise pregnancy trope lover, this satisfied my desire to read one. the romance between wes and maggie was sweet and largely without conflict. lots of domestic bliss and cute moments packed into this quick and easy read.

however, there is a traumatic birth scene that could be triggering for some. skip this one if that might upset you. ngl, it was pretty intense and scary.

As I mentioned to the author, I loved this book! Just straight up lovey dovey vibes!! No unnecessary drama, only Maggie and West being honest and happy with each other. And the ending had me sobbing!!

YES!!! I was hoping for a Wes book 🤩 Wes is Chris' manager and best friend (Tangled Want, #2). That's why I love interconnected series so much. My favorite side characters will get their stories too 😁

Aren't women normally the ones who are so romantic? Yeah, but Wes is topping it. He is such a romantic. It's just WOW 😱 It's so cute. It's definitely love at first sight for him. But it turned accidentally into a one-night stand 🙈 I felt his hurt. It hurt sooo much 😭

I loved the book and both MCs, but (no, that's no criticism), I sometimes (often) hated Maggie 🙈 I understand her. I understand her trust issues and all. And still I wanted to take her and shake her 😖 I mean, come on, she has the best man possible at her site and she says NO??? Just because of tiny "circumstances"? (No, I'm not talking about the pregnancy, that's a bigger circumstance, especially if HE is a giant 🙈🤣). She could have chosen so many options, but no... 😖 Yes, that made me want to strangle her, sorry 🙈 And yes, that's what I love in books. When I can scream at the characters for the BS they do 🤣

I'd better stop at this point, because I don't want to start ranting about Maggie's parents. Especially her mother 🤬
I'm glad Wes' parents are the opposite 🩷

Please read TW if you have any. Because the end gets very heavy... 😭 Yes, I cried extremely and had problems continuing to read because of the tears in my eyes. Luckily, my using text-to-speech helps 😎

Tengo sentimientos encontrados con Maggie, por una lado entiendo el porqué de su comportamiento, pero me desesperó porque Wes jamás le dió una razón para dudar de él, o sea si ella le decía salta a Wes él le preguntaría que tan alto.

This book was such a delightful surprise. Two of my favorite authors Abby Jimenez and Emily Henry were both dropping new releases within weeks of each other in April. I knew that those two books were likely going to be among my top 5 favorites books that I read all year. So what was I going to read during that awkward period in between these two highly anticipated releases? How could I find something to read that I would truly enjoy that could somehow measure up to the 5-star Yours Truly, while I eagerly awaited Henry's Happy Place? Well, luckily for me the author of Tangled Expectations kindly offered me an ARC. And forgive me for the pun, but it far surpassed any "Expectations" I could have had for it.

Tangled Expectations utilizes the classic "accidental pregnancy" trope and if you are a fan of that trope or if, like me, you can enjoy the trope if it's really done well, then you don't want to miss this book. Even if the trope isn't typically something you enjoy, there is still so much in this book to love that it is still worth the read. The story is written so well and has characters that you will legitimately care about and become invested in.

The MC's Wes and Maggie are both in their late 30's, which is far too uncommon in modern romance, for my taste. This means that they are coming into this story with a lot of maturity and a lot of experience, both good and bad. Maggie is recently divorced. She lost both her ex husband and her friends in the break up. And her family is far more interested in judging her than they are supporting her. She finds herself alone and largely unsettled in life now. She's trying to somehow rebuild a romantic and social life, while feeling unstable in her family, finances, career, and living situation. Meanwhile, Wes is far more settled. He isn't single because of any particular trauma or commitment issues. He has just been very career oriented and after seeing the amazing relationships of his mom and stepdad and his friends, he has been unwilling to settle for anyone less that "The One." And nearly as soon as he meets Maggie, he is fairly certain that he's found it.

If you are looking for a story with a lot of drama and/or toxicity, you won't find that here. There is no frustratingly longterm miscommunications, random out of character actions, exes showing up unexpectedly, or the classic third act breakup. The drama you find here is much more grounded and realistic to the complicated situation that they are actually in. How are these two people who find themselves unexpectedly preparing to have a child together going to merge their lives? How will Maggie deal with the trust issues she has from her family, recent divorce, and ex-friends? How will Wes balance his demanding career with a family? And how will they deal with their different living situations, finances, families, etc. TW: There is a traumatic birth scene so if that is likely to be a trigger for you, then you will want to steer clear of this book. But otherwise, it's relatively low drama while still very much holding your attention. It certainly held mine. In fact, the only bad thing I can say about this book is that I nearly missed an early morning work meeting because I stayed up too late reading it.

"Love wasn't about IOUs or check marks in a column. It was about supporting and caring for those you loved. It was helping someone into a warm bath and massaging their sore muscles without asking anything in return. Love wasn't something to be earned or traded. It was given freely and without limitation.
That was what Wes showed me. Unconditional love."

When Wesley Isaacson saw Maggie Levandoski sitting alone and crying in a bar, he couldn't help but go and see what was wrong. After spending the night talking, they end up back at Maggie's house, unable to let the night end. This hookup is far from a one night stand, and they both agree there's more to it, but in a serious of very unfortunate and tragic events, Wes looses her number and doesn't find her until a couple months later...when she's pregnant with his baby and ready to leave town.

_____________

Stumbling upon Sophie Andrews tweet about this upcoming book was so serendipitous. I was 100% needing a fun, low angst read that would pull me out of a slump, and I think this book did the trick. My favorite part of a surprise pregnancy book is seeing how A) the mmc behaves as a father, and B) how the mc's handle the stress of it all.

These two were soulmates. Andrews does a great job writing every thing these characters are feeling. From their impromptu meet, their *hot* one night stand, the reunion and bomb drop, pregnancy, birth, and every little thing between, they had the best communication.

Wes is the ideal man for this trope. He immediately insists Maggie move in, and starts taking care of her. I love that the situation was realistic, because Wes did have a job and couldn't just dive into this pregnancy like he wanted. There wasn't an automatic "press play" on their relationship. These characters had so many layers, and there was so much to work through. The beauty of having characters in their late thirties is that they're grown enough to work through their baggage and it wasn't cringey and a drag!

I adored Maggie. She immediately stepped into her role as a mother and prioritized the well being of her and her baby's lives. She was dealt so many shit cards, and to see her taking control of her life and claiming her happiness was everythingggg. I love that she prioritized her mental health, and stood up for herself. All I wanted was the best for Maggie, and for her to find her happiness and strength in her new life and with her new family.

I wish there was a smidge more realistic communication between them since the book spans the time of the pregnancy. Most of their dialogue focuses on their arc as a couple, which is totally fine, but there are so many more layers I wish they could have dipped into to make it feel more real.

I have never read a Sophie Andrews book before, but I think this is a great pick if you're a fan of the accidental pregnancy trope. The book is dual pov so we get some great character development from both of them. There's so much to love about this. Good spice, praise?!, sweet cinnamon roll hero, found family!!, great friend group, and over all well developed characters

This book has NO third act breakups, but I do recommend looking into tw/cw before diving in because there are sensitive topics that occur with Maggie's pregnancy.

Thank you Sophie Andrews for the ARC of this book, all opinions are my own.

For someone who isn't fussed either way about the accidental pregnancy trope, I'm realising that I sure do read a lot of them! 😂 While I enjoyed elements of this one, ultimately, it just didn't work for me and I think that mostly had to do with the instalove and disconnect from the characters. I knew this was going to be a fast-moving romance and that they'd fall for each other quickly and while there are moments where that pacing can work for me, that wasn't the case here. While I was rooting for them to get their HEA, I didn't necessarily feel invested in them as characters. That said, there were some great heartwarming moments in the romance that I thought were very sweet and I've no doubt that others will enjoy this more than I did!

Here's what I enjoyed in this:
- For those who hate this part of romances, you'll be delighted to know that there's no third-act break up! While it took our MCs a while to get on good solid ground in their relationship, they went on the up from there. It's always refreshing to not have a third-act break up :)
- I liked that the accidental pregnancy trope happened with characters who were in their late 30s. I hate that the medical term for women who get pregnant in their mid-30s is "geriatric pregnancy" (seriously, wtf) but I liked that the author brought this up because you don't see it a lot in romances. There were also couples who had difficulties conceiving and (again) you don't often see it in romance but I thought the author addressed and handled it well. That said, this does have a very traumatic birthing scene and honestly, I skimmed over it because it was too intense, and I would strongly advise reading with caution as it can be triggering!
- Wes was pretty adorable and once Maggie overcame her worries and insecurities and stopped pushing him away, he went all out in showing her he cared and would always be there. If your kryptonite is a soft MMC who loves to dote on his partner and who is thoughtful and gentle (and might even be a bit of a mother hen, lol) then you'll no doubt love Wes! It was very sweet to see how he showered her with love, care, affection and so much support, especially since most of her life she was made to feel unworthy and like a burden by her emotionally abusive mother and sister.
- Maggie had a lot of issues from her past that she had to work through but I loved seeing her finally stand up for herself and choose to only keep the people in her life who lifted her up and brought positive energy. Just because someone is family doesn't give them the right to abuse and take advantage of you and it's always empowering to see someone recognise that and cut the negative out of their life.
- Wes' family, especially his parents, were adorable. They were so sweet and supportive, and one helluva contrast to Maggie's family. I loved how quickly they accepted and loved her, too. She deserved to have people around her who genuinely appreciated what she had to offer!

Wes, a film producer, is out with his friends celebrating, when he sees Maggie, an artist, crying at the bar after being stood up on a date. Crying women are Wes' kryptonite, and he strikes up a conversation in hopes of helping her. The two hit it off instantly, and Wes offers to walk Maggie home. She invites him up, and they spend the night together, learning more about the other, and both thinking that it could be the start of a real relationship, Maggie gives Wes her number and he promises to call her later that day. Unfortunately, after a day of running errands, Wes' phone is lost, and by the time he replaces it, he realizes he didn't back up the information, and Maggie's number is lost.

A few weeks later, Maggie disappointed that she never heard from Wes, discovers she's pregnant. Though shocked, Maggie is excited as she'd always wanted children but she and her husband couldn't conceive. Her family isn't very supportive, but do agree to let her move back in when she asks. One day, while out she and Wes quite literally bump into each other by chance. She informs him of her pregnancy and plan to move home to NJ, but he insists she move to his home in Brooklyn. Maggie reluctantly agrees, more so because she doesn't want to move back in with her parents.

For week Maggie and Wes navigate learning to live together, while also working through Maggie's issues stemming from her home environment. Wes pushes, but never to far, waiting for Maggie to meet him. He slowly breaks down her walls, until she realizes "I'm falling in love with the father of my baby."

There is something about reading a romance about two middle-aged people that makes me believe that I can find love somehow in the future, even if my life is a train wreck and I live with two cats.

This book packs a punch! Since this was the first book not with one of our OG female leads, I was curious to see how Wes and Maggie fit in with the rest of the series, and they wholeheartedly get my stamp of approval and fit in beautifully. We even get to see Brontë and Chris, as Wes and Chris are best friends.

Wes’ steadfast heart had me falling head over heels for him. He’s such an amazing caretaker, is Maggie’s biggest fan and supporter, and wants the whole white picket fence life with her. And even though Maggie makes her feelings known about a relationship with him, he’s not afraid to wear his heart on his sleeve and slowly win her over with his quiet acts and no pressure approach.

Maggie is once bitten twice shy when it comes to relationships. Maggie has a hard time with any type of relationship and has been treated horribly by family and friends, so it’s no wonder she has a hard time rationalizing Wes’ desire to be with her. But Wes is just the man she needs to help her be a better version of herself while also giving her the one thing her ex-husband never could; a baby.

I absolutely adored the vibe of their relationship and growth as individuals and as a couple. You know that giddy, happy kid dance? Well, I performed it multiple times while reading this. The pinnacle of events in this book is heart stopping, emotional, and let’s face it, had me bawling like a baby while reflecting on my own personal experience, so please read the trigger warning in advance. But don’t let it overshadow the rest of this fantastic read filled with forehead slapping mess ups, a sweet as pie mother/mother in law, super spicy seggsy time, and a love worth waiting for.

Maggie was at a bar crying when Wes spotted her. He hates to see a beautiful woman crying. He talks to her and she spills all about her life. Her divorce, too old to have a baby and her date never showed up. She just needs to have confidence about getting out there again. Wes is just the man to do it. Wes and Maggie seem to have chemistry. He walks her home. They have a night of passion. The next morning he goes home to take care of business and loses his phone with her number in it. He’s devastated. They have something special and he knows it. He looks for her everywhere.

Time passes and Maggie realizes that Wes isn’t coming back. When Maggie realizes she’s pregnant and accepts that she will be a single parent. She’s up for the challenge. She’s so excited.

She runs into Wes one day and he’s so happy to find her. He hasn’t stopped looking for her. Now she tells him her secret. He’s excited beyond words. Can Wes make her see that she’s the one for him? She’s his soulmate. Can Maggie trust him? The two try to work things out. He works on the other coast but he’ll make it work. Will she let him? She wants him to want her, for her and not for the baby. This is a wonderful read. They characters are strong, independent and deserves a second chance. I received this book for my honest review. LOVED IT. Worth the read

Wes is out with friends one night and on his way out of the bar, he notices a distraught lady, which is his kryptonite. He stops and tries to help as he can and he and Maggie have an instant connection. Maggie is on her first date post her divorce. Well, it was supposed to be her first date, but she got stood up. When she and Wes hit it off, they end up back at Maggie's place for thr night with plans to meet up the next day. A series of unfortunate events occurs and Wes end up losing Maggie's number and has no way of contacting her.

In the meantime, Maggie finds out she's pregnant and now will be a single mother because how will she ever find Wes? When they randomly run into each other on the street it seems fate intervened. But they hardly know each other… and they're having a baby!

Wes comes off as a white knight to Maggie's downtrodden mess and boy do they have chemistry, but there is something so sweet about this couple. I loved them together from the start. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily providing my review.

A Captivating Romance with a Shocking Twist

I couldn't put down this amazing story, which follows the blossoming romance between Maggie and Wes. Their love is undeniable, and their chemistry is palpable from the start.

The book takes an unexpected turn, with Maggie getting pregnant after a one-night stand with Wes, who then loses her number. The story unfolds as they navigate their separate lives, only to reconnect by chance on the street.

What I loved about this book is the way the author explores themes of self-discovery, growth, and the power of human connection. Maggie's transformation from a downtrodden mess to a confident, independent woman is inspiring, and Wes's kind and chivalrous nature makes him an endearing partner.

If you're looking for a captivating romance with a dash of drama and a happy ending, this book is an excellent choice.

Fans of romance, women's fiction, and stories about self-discovery and personal growth will enjoy this book.

ARC Review! I received an arc from the author, Sophie Andrews, in exchange for an honest review!!

Yeah, I loved it. This was superlative. From the moment they meet to the last page of the book, I was enthralled by their chemistry and their story. Wes and Maggie were absolutely perfect together.

I loved how open Wes was with his feelings and what he wanted. I loved that Maggie was more guarded. Usually, it's reversed, and it was so refreshing to read it this way.

I LOOOOVED their little family and the dynamic they created. It was literally so sweet. And God, Wes?? Could step on me, and I'd thank him for his time. I think he's like in the ten book boyfriends for me now.

Maggie, my love, was just lovely. She knew what she wanted and she went for it. She was working for herself and provided for herself. She was strong and capable and amazing. Just amazing.

No complaints. Not. A. One.

Maggie & Wes meet in a restaurant when he approaches her as she cries over being stood up. They banter back and forth and then eventually have their one night stand. Although it was never Wes’s intention to only be one night, when he loses his phone Maggie assumes he lied and ghosted her after their magical night together.

They run into each other as Maggie is on the verge of leaving NYC for her family home, but Wes convinces her to stay and move in with him.

Maggie and Wes face a multitude of chalk but the largest one is Maggie’s insecurities. As they overcome each one of her insecurities they become more secure and confident in their love for each other. Until an almost tragedy changes the trajectory of their romance.

There is a happy ending to the story, but not before a few gut wrenching, tear induced traumatic moments that only add to the love story.

I see surprise pregnancy and say yes please! I really loved this. It was a fast paced, sweet read I devoured in one sitting.

I loved Wes + Maggie, right from their meet cute they had such fun banter and amazing chemistry. Wes was so cut up about losing her number and I loved how he never faltered when he found her again and learned they were going to have a baby. This man was such a green flag, I loved how supportive and protective he was of her. Despite being separated this was low drama, with some great spice!

There is a traumatic birth in this, please check triggers before reading. It was done with care and beautifully written, I had that heart in my throat feeling the entire time. I enjoyed the realistic and relatable way it was done, not every birth is easy or pretty and I appreciated this. The characters are also in their late 30s which was refreshing.

Sophie Andrews was kind enough to send me an advanced copy of new book Tangled Expectations when I saw her talking about it on Twitter.
Talk about a book that had me straight cheesin’ almost the entire time! I’m not usually one for a surprise pregnancy trope, but somehow this just worked. Wes & Maggie were so cute, from their chance meeting at a bar, and one steamy night together - what follows is a series of unfortunate circumstances that prevents them from seeing each other until a chance meeting months later and a surprise pregnancy.
Wes was so into Maggie, it was so cute and he did everything to show her, including helping her stand up to her crappy family!
Tangled Expectations is full of sweet and spicy moments, and I will be checking out the rest of Sophie Andrews’ backlist soon!

Book 5 in Andrews' Tangled series and can be read as a standalone. This is Wes and Maggie's story and a wonderful accidental pregnancy romance read that is sure to please. After a chance meeting these two connected in a soulmate way and poor Wes has a series of events that kept him from reaching out to Maggie. Maggie, heartbroken yet again finds she's pregnant from their one night and finds him. Wes steps up in the best of ways and his family is just the absolute best. A sweet and a bit steamy romance that is well written and just beautiful and heartwarming. Can't wait to see what Andrews will write next!

Such a beautiful love story with some very realistic and relatable notions. Wes is definitely a keeper and instantly drew me in with his positive and energized personality, full of love and compassion. Perfect for readers interested in romance with enough depth to get to know the characters outside of the bedroom, who they are now and history that got them there. This is intense and engaging, some very powerful lifechanging emotions are stirred up, definitely a tear-jerker, which I wasn't expecting, pace is steady--never bored, steamy and love their banter as they get to know one another. Very well written and one of the best stories I've read this year. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

if a book has accidental pregnancy, just kindly give it to me. i know i'll love the book bc it means there'd be angst on it and you know angst is my all time favorite.

tangled expectations is one of the book from the tangled series and actually i've finished the other books so this one is like, i forgot there are 3 more books left so i decided to finish them all since the beginning of july.

the first meeting of the main characters was a little weird in my opinion but the rest of their story? loved it! it's heartbreaking to see maggie felt like she didn't deserve love anymore (so there was a misunderstanding andddd that's my fav part of the book; the angst part!) but we have wes, the mmc, he just loved maggie since they first met and he kept telling her she was worth it and stuff and he was just so green flag!! 🥹❤️❤️ i enjoyed reading this one so much i guess i finished it in 2 days

The book was all about a romance happening during a surprise pregnancy. If you love this trope, this book is for you.

Wes and Maggie met randomly at a restaurant and hit it off. We learn about the effectiveness of condoms and the surprise pregnancy ensues.
Maggie’s family are absolute rubbish, while Wes’ family are exceptional. Both feature heavily throughout the book. Lets just say that Maggie’s mother and sister deserve all the bad things.
This book was a great premise, executed quite well. The middle of the book seemed to drag a little, which is the only reason I didn’t give this book 5 stars.
I was provided an ARC copy and this is my honest review.

"I was certain she was my other half"

well this is a meetcute type of book and for the spice it is almost nonexistent but the story flow made up to it, this is more focused on emotions rather than physical, and mygod, some family u really can't take. Glad that the heroines are all good people and MMC is so good to the FMC. jsut some parts draggng on but overall a good story.

Very good story. At first I was getting annoyed with Maggie for always pushing Wes away but then I quickly changed my mind. This story was so sweet. Wes meets Maggie in a restaurant when she’s crying he goes and strikes up a conversation with her. Needless to say an accident occurs and they lose contact with one another. During that time Maggie finds out she’s pregnant and thinks that Wes abandoned her. Thankfully they bump into each other again and begin a relationship. I loved the realistic events that happened here without it being too overwhelming and heavy. Baby Asher was so adorable.

I received an ARC copy and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

This is the 1st book I've read by this author.

It definitely had me in all the feelings, from being annoyed at Maggie, to angry at her horrible parents, to crying at the hospital for Wes, to smiling and happy in the end.
It was a roller coaster of emotions.

Great read. I very much enjoyed it.

Was so well written/ articulated. The author definitely done her research with this book.

Loved all the other characters, but Mags family 🖕🏻

Wes is such a sweetheart and true gentleman. He was so amazing to mags and treated her so well and done right by her.
I'm glad Mags came to her senses, tho it took a bit, and it was understandable, but u can't paint every man with the same brush.

Finished in 1 day

I started this book at 8am, I had a full work day and finished at 12am the next morning. This was a very interesting read. There were multiple portions that made me feel I wasn’t going to enjoy it however the more I read it the more interesting it got. The ending was SO shocking and that’s what really earned this a 4 star rating. I wasn’t expecting it at all. Maggies hot & cold vibe during the book is what really had me uncertain about this book but I’m a sucker for a happy ending.

I loved this book. I loved the contrast of Wes' loving family that softened the harshness of Maggie's dysfunctional one. I'm so glad Maggie found a partner who gave her all the warm feels she deserved. There were just enough bad times for the couple to make the good times sweeter. Probably the best thing about the writing was the character development.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
