Barbourville #3

Dealing with Denver

Rate this book
Freelance writer Mattie Meadows has found an excellent excuse to visit Barbourville, Tennessee. She's been assigned to write an article about a local cottage for a travel magazine. But her real reason for visiting the town is much less transparent, and if she succeeds in her quest, some prominent citizens may very well become her enemies. Attorney Denver Vance is using Barbourville as a stopover on his way home to Chicago from a Florida vacation. When he meets a prickly female in his brother's cottage, he reluctantly agrees to help her in her quest, never dreaming that their chance encounter could lead to their falling in love. But then they uncover secrets that impact their new Barbourville friends, and they realize that in the process, they may have destroyed any chances they might have had to build a future together.

A love romance waiting to be told

This was a wonderful story about an adopted girl wanting to find her birt mother. It turned out to be such a beautiful love story and loved every page.

Fun Read

I have not read book 1 or 2 yet but this book stands on its own two feet. It is a great story all by its self with a great ending.

I loved this book so much I just kept ordering the next one on Kindle Unlimited. Have now completed all 9 books. What a great idea to just go from one citizen to another and tell their stories, so they are all a little interconnected; it really sucks you into these character's fictional lives. I'm excited to start Carolynn's next spinoff series; McCray County!

This is a story written in a small town in Tennessee. Mattie goes to pick up information for an article for a travel magazine. She has a secondary reason for checking out people in this town. She ask a new male friend for help in getting answers to her questions. Is romance possible for two people from different worlds? This is an easy read. I enjoyed reading this book and highly recommend it.

Dealing with Denver is the perfect blend of small-town charm and all the best that families have to offer. Mattie, the heroine, charms the reader immediately. The plot twists keep the reader guessing until the end. The characters and setting remind the reader that times can be simpler and that happiness is within our grasp. A charming, engaging read that I highly recommend!
