Sparks fly since the first time they meet. Short story, sweet, sexy and with a lot of love. Candy thinks she´s the typically ordinary girl and Dave is the rock star manwh·%&/, that feels an intense attraction for Candy and commits only to her. She feels insecure about Dave´s feelings even though he demonstrated his constant love to her.

A pleasure from beginning to end. I believe it is one I will be reading again and again.
Candy Bryce wins a prize from a local radio station; a date with a celebrity. She believes she isn’t someone that Dave Roads, the sexy lead singer from a hot band, would be at all interested in but she figures she won the dinner she may as well go and have a good time. To prepare herself she listens to the songs his band is famous for, gets dressed, and takes a leap of faith that she will not look too foolish.
Dave Roads is a sexy, rich, oh so yummy celeb fulfilling an obligatory roll as a dinner date for a random radio station caller. Comfortable with himself he figures this is just one more publicity stunt but he may as well enjoy it. He figures they will eat, talk and go their separate ways.
As dinner progresses the chemistry starts to sizzle. Dave is no longer filling a role he is actually feeling like this is a real date. Candy is making him feel something he hasn’t felt in a very long time, so he decides that he is off the clock and this is a genuine date. The night progresses and Dave rolls with it by asking Candy back to his place for dessert. Candy is having a hard time believing her good fortune but decides to ride this out and see where it ends. And the ending is definitely worth the ride!

I'm not sure about this one. I didn't really like how quickly she trusted this man to tie her up and become so vulnerable for the first time in her life. But at the same time I LOVED how committed he was to pleasure her and to bring her to the elusive climax she was looking for. I feel like I would have appreciated the story more with more of his POV. Perhaps that would have allowed me to buy into him earlier. But again I can't hate a book where there is such a commitment to pleasure.

I didn't expect a literary masterpiece. It was a cute little short novella...well, as cute as a book with scenes involving butt plugs can be. If you're in the mood for a quick read with nothing but sex and a happy ever after, then this is the book for you.

Rocker version of Win A Date with Tad Hamilton gone erotica. I guess this is its own version of one-night stand in reading. Short, fun, no emotional engagement and just pure romp. I say just enjoy it for what it is, and everyone leaves happy, or in the MC's case, live HEA... Plus hey, it's free=D

When I saw this erotic romance by Shoshanna Evers and read it was about a woman's encounter with a rock star, I knew I had to read it. I mean, what woman hasn't fantasized about hot, kinky sex with her favorite lead singer (or in my case, drummer).
Candy (short for Candace) Bryce is pretty much like most women. Single and not dating much, she has a decent job designing websites. One afternoon, she decides to heat up her day by calling her favorite radio station to request a song. This day was her lucky day because she happens to be the correct number caller to win dinner with the lead singer of a rock band that is town on tour. She readily accepts, figuring it will be a fun night night out.
When Candy meets Dave Roads, she can't believe how much hotter he is in person. But of course, she knows this night for him is just another promotional event and she is sure he couldn't possibly be interested in a woman like her. Dave could get any woman he wants. He probably has a different woman at every town he visits.
Candy couldn't be more wrong.
Dave isn't the typical "Rock God" that sleeps with every groupie that throws herself at him and he is instantly attracted to Candy. So much, that he wants to get to know her better.
Of course, he also wants to sleep with her. He tells her that, and since Candy "knows" a one night stand with a rock hottie may never come her way again, she agrees to go back to his hotel room with him.
Candy confesses to Dave that she has never been able to have an orgasm with a man, and that is all Dave needs to make it his mission to have her coming by the end of the night. And he does.
When the night is over, Candy is pleased with herself for letting herself go wild and Dave is smitten. He wants to see her again and invites her to his show that weekend, Candy is sure this is a short affair, but goes along with it. What she doesn't know is that Dave has other plans. Long term plans.
What I love about erotica by Ms Evers is that they are so unbelievably hot, yet you don't feel "dirty" reading them. There is lots of kinky sex that will meet every fantasy you imagine, but she always ends it with a romantic touch. After this being my second story by Shoshanna Evers, I am now a fan. Can't wait to read some more

Shoshanna Evers’s Taste of Candy is as sweet and guilty as the title suggests. Evers is an established author of erotic fiction and this is a title I just happened to read for my own amusement. I’m not sure what compelled me to read this particular novella, but I couldn’t put it down once I’d started.
Taste of Candy isn’t a brilliant piece of literature, but Evers demonstrates her competent writing abilities. The characters and the scenario feel simple and cliche. The story is unbelievable in the corniest of ways, but somehow, it still works. The writing itself is skillful enough to carry the reader through. The characters, while perhaps a bit one-dimensional, think in a logical manner and that lends to the credibility of the story.
The erotic scenes are particularly fun, although brief. Evers succeeds in creating the sort of tension that leaks into the reader. When it comes to the steam factor, Candy doesn’t fail to deliver.

If you want a quick, fun, and sexy book then read Taste of Candy by author Shoshanna Evers. The story begins when Candice Bryce wins a radio contest and a "date" with super rockstar Dave Roads. They are instantly attracted to each other and their relationship moves to the next level pretty quickly. The sex scenes, which include light bondage and spankings, are well written and I thoroughly enjoyed the chemistry between the two main characters. Candy has to overcome her insecurities about herself in order to have a future with Dave. I could not put the book down because I wanted to find out the ending which was was so good. I had a great time reading this book and always look forward to reading more books by this wonderful author.

I only had a little bit of time and wanted a full story, so I chose this one. It was free on Kindle for a while. A sexy, experienced, famous rock star and a naive, frumpy woman on a date that turns into more. There were sex toys (including butt plugs), bondage, spanking, dominance, but nothing heavier than you'd find at your average sex shop. A lot of the alpha stories sort-of run together for me, so it was a good read but it didn't draw me in so much that I'll read it again. The story followed the stereotypes you might expect, but not so much that I got irritated with them. The short word count means they went from nothing to kinky, exclusive relationship very quickly, but they were your standard emotionally healthy individuals so it was all good.

4.5 stars! This was such a great short story from Ms. Evers. It's the first book I've read from her but it definitely won't be my last. I love Candy and Dave's story. Although I wish it was longer, this story packed a lot of punch. It reminds me a lot of Kylie Scott's book Lick. Even both their characters were named Dave/David. I just loved this story and it didn't feel like just a porno either. I'm so happy I had gotten this as an Amazon freebie but I would have definitely paid for it even if it wasn't. Great hot, sexy, and romantic book! I just wish it was longer.

Short, steamy book. I really enjoyed this book, mostly because of the characters Dave and Candy were perfect for each other. She was the shy, lonely anorgasmic heroine and he was the hot,outspoken rocker, willing to do whatever it took to satisfy her. How can you possibly go wrong there? Meeting Dave was a dream come true for Candy but she didn't let romanticized feeling get in her way. She knew their relationship was temporary but she just wanted to enjoy the time they had together. Dave proves he wants more than just her body in a big way. Great novella.

This book is as addictive as any sweet tooth I have ever had. Great characters and some very hot sex with a sexy singer. WoW! I think this storyline was taken out of most of our deepest fantasies. I absolutely loved it as I have with all the books I have read by this author so far. Shoshanna knows what draws us in and builds on it to you are unable to put the book down till it's complete. This is one for the collection :)

This rocked! It was a nice short story with enough kink to keep avid readers of this genera interested. At the same time it had a sweet romance going on.
As a good short there were only two characters and they got the attention they deserved. Both were well developed and written. As a reader you can focus on what was important, not the background players.

I liked this story I truly did.

This is a great novella length book when you are looking for something hot and sexy. Ms Evers always delivers on that front.
What girl doesn't dream of winning a date with a hot rock star and having him take her back to his place. Candy has never had a climax while with a man and hot rocker Dave Roads sees this as a personal challenge. This has some BDSM play.

For what it was, I'd give this book a 4.5/5. It is a novella with a sweet love story mixed with erotica and mild BDSM. At first, the set-up felt completely contrived, rather like a bad porn. (But, hey, it is an erotica/BDSM novella, what was I expecting?) Once you get past that and suspend your disbelief, it is a fun, quick read.

I got this as a free book, and tbh it wasnt worth the read. I gave it a good go, but couldnt read on, I gave up. The cover of the book (amazon cover) and the title, make the book look really hot and exciting, I found the story line quiet the opposite. Its predictable and I couldnt take to the characters it lacked that 'something' Its a very short story. Not for me! sorry

meh. I love me some rockers but this didn't do jack shit for me. pretty uneventful, except when he was using an electric toothbrush on her. needs some editing, his eye color changed at one point, and it ended at 87%. -_-

Well I needed this sexy, hot as hell and very sexual short story. If only more men were like Dave, we could all Orgasm that much. He understood Candy from the beginning and gave her what she needed but they both got something they wanted and a HEA. I enjoyed this read.

Short but sweet!
A short but sweet story by Shoshana Evers! Nice read but I would have liked a little more. No talk of friends or family or the other members of the band. All in all an enjoyable story.
