This 153 hrs and 59 mins exposition of the book of Romans by John Piper is a work of greatness of which I stand in awe.

Piper exposits with great wisdom, humor, and deep seriousness the weighty and technical writing of the Apostle Paul in the book of Romans.

To say that this affected my life would be an understatement. Going through this study - now for the second time - caused a singularity in my existence, saving my marriage, and possibly my life.

If you are even considering listening to this series, do - study it, prove it or disprove it to yourself and listen to the end. I cannot recommend it enough.

"To all those in Rome who are loved by God and called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ."
—Romans 1:7

Spending the better part of a year in the book of Romans with the preaching and exposition of John Piper has been nothing less than life changing. The word that comes to mind is foundational. This study/series has been so foundational for me, it's almost hard to put it into words. One thing that I love about Piper is his giving himself to preach and proclaim the GLORY of God above all things, through Christ Jesus. And that is just what he does here. Verse-by-verse, line-by-line, through all 16 chapters of arguably the greatest letter ever written. It's the glory of God that every human heart longs for, whether we know it or not. I plead with you to take on the pleasurable task of listening to this 153 hours and 59 minute series. Just know you've been warned; you'll never see God, yourself, or the book of Romans the same.

Tremendous.

Well worth the several years it took me to get through.
154 hours of sermons on Romans, it’s meaning and application.

Piper’s passion for the Word, for God and for building up Christians is contagious.

I enjoyed listening to this exhaustive commentary on the greatest letter ever written using Audible. I think that many people would struggle with its length. It took me a few years to finish it.

Romans is my favorite book of the Bible.  Its probably the book I know best.  My greatest revelations into the mystery of the Gospel came when studying this magnificent work.

Funny.  I’d heard of John Piper, but I always assumed he was from another time.  Maybe a puritan.  Maybe a little later, but I was shocked to learn that he is contemporary.  He’s a pretty important, guy, too.  He launched a movement of young reformed Christians.

This was an undertaking.  140 sermon hours.  I have to admit I didn't make it all the way through. I was most interested in what he had to say about Romans 9.  I was hoping this would be a little more scholarly, but that was my bad.  Afterall, these were sermons.

Four years worth of sermons of truly the greatest book ever written. I think this has drastically changed the way I view God in His sovereign demonstration of glory in the lives of His children more than anything else I have read or heard. Piper sticks close to scripture and is obsessed with the glory of God. Guess what, it's contagious! I highly recommend this to anyone.
