Jude’s imagination frequently leads her astray, and she eagerly follows while trying to keep out of trouble, or at least not get caught. For those of you who know her, you’ll know that’s not always easy. A picture, a smell, an unexpected glimpse of flesh, or a load of soil in the back of a pick-up, are all fodder for her writing. Her male characters run the gamut from the dominant male ruling his women with an iron fist, to a simpering purple-clad boy-toy, whose only desire is to please. As diverse and as richly depicted, her women find themselves in a myriad of exotic and erotic situations.

At the present time, Jude is extremely proud to be one of the Total E-Bound authors and has several books them and more are scheduled for the future. She's joined up with eXtasy Books very recently and is looking forward to working with them. You'll find smatterings of Jude Mason's work on a number of websites as well as in anthologies. Google her name and you'll find her. And if you see a short gray hair woman studying you, it just might be her.

Nice, sexy story about two long-time lovers who add a third man to their relationship. Well, sort of a man; Clint is really a cat shifter. There is a little bit of tension when Jack admits to having been lovers with Clint before, but since Samuel is just as attracted to the newcomer as Jack seems to be, that quickly dissipates. The fact that he is a shifter is not really relevant for the story, other than providing a hint of danger and explaining why all the activities take place pretty much in the wilderness.

If you like lots of hot action and threeways, you might like this story.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well balanced and detailed this novella was. You don’t get an in depth look at the characters but the details give you a good idea of what each man is about. Jack is shown as the more dominate force in the relationship. Samuel is more skittish and shy. Throw easy-going Clint into the mix seemed as though it would rock the boat but the author wrote it out well. Out of the book I really understood Samuel more, not just because it’s from his point of view. He, out of all of them, has the most growth in the book, from insecure to confident.

The whole book is very even paced and while it had it’s torrid moments I never felt it overtook the story. There were some small mistakes in the love making scenes but they were miniscule enough to ignore. There isn’t really any angst but the emotional play of Clint being an ex-lover and shape shifter kept it from being too raunchy or mushy. I wish the story had been longer because I liked the characters and I could see so much potential for them. I don’t think it went to the level that it could have gone. It was still a really good read that I would recommend for those looking for a quick and sweet read.

Too short a story with not enough details to my liking.
If you like short stories and read erotic books only for the sex scenes and like menage scenes with a stranger, this is your book.
