About the author

Justin Richards is a British writer. He has written many spin off novels based on the BBC science fiction television series Doctor Who, and he is Creative Director for the BBC Books range. He has also written for television, contributing to Five's soap opera Family Affairs. He is also the author of a series of crime novels for children about the Invisible Detective, and novels for older children. His Doctor Who novel The Burning was placed sixth in the Top 10 of SFX magazine's "Best SF/Fantasy novelisation or TV tie-in novel" category of 2000.

K-9 is probably the worst one in the Doctor Who Files series that I’ve read so far. I liked K-9 as a character, so I was looking forward to reading this, but unfortunately it wasn’t written well.

The informational section of the book was extremely repetitive. For a book that is this short, it should not have repeated the same information multiple times.

The formatting of the short story at the end of the book didn’t work for me. It is written as technical inputs from a computer. It fits for his character, but it made the story feel disjointed and it was so overly technical that it made me bored.

K-9 is such a fun character, so it sucks that his book in this series was very weak.

The graphics were awesome, but that was about the only thing I liked. No new information about K-9 here.

I looked through this when I was younger.
I love doctor who and it was great learning about K-9.
The trivia questions involved were quite easy but that may just be because I know quite a bit about doctor who related things like K-9 :P
I would recommend these to any doctor who fans because they are informative and great to add to anyones doctor who collection.
