All Lucy was looking for when she went to her vacation home was an innocent fling to quell the yearning she had felt since her husband died four years ago. She never expected her longtime friend Bram to lure her into a love affair so hot.

This is a steamy novella about Lucy and her now deceased ex-husband's friend Bram. It's been 4 years since David died, and they had already been divorced but Bram waited for Lucy to be ready to think about moving on. But when he finds out she plans to have a fling with a stranger, he knows she's ready to take the next step, and he wants it to be with him.
I really enjoyed this story. Though we find out that Bram had feelings for Lucy even before she married his best friend, he was always very careful to keep that hidden and never once let Lucy know while she was married, or even when she got divorced that he wanted to be with her. I respected him for waiting, and he comes across as a caring, confident man. Lucy still feels some of the pain of being betrayed by her ex, and Bram goes a long way towards making her feel whole again. They share a steamy scene together and Bram makes it clear that he's not going to let Lucy wallow in grief anymore. He wants everything with her and he seduces her very efficiently with words and actions. I really liked the age of the characters in this story too, Bram being 41 and Lucy just shy of 40. It was an entertaining read! 4 stars.
This novella was a very enjoyable read. I particularly liked that the two leads Bram and Lucy are older he's 41 and she's 39, so they're much more mature. Lucy divorced her husband David after she caught him cheating, he later died in a car accident. Lucy has decided that it's time to have some fun and find a man to let off some steam. When Bram a long time friend of her late husband hears this he knows it's time he made a move and let Lucy know how he's felt about her forever. A hot and sexy short story that is well written, I really enjoyed it
A quick, sexy read. Bram has held in his love for Lucy for years. He watched as Lucy married his best friend, had two children and the went through heartache when Lucy caught her husband with another woman. He has tried to give her time, but now he is done. He is going to make her understand how much he loves her. Will she feel the same way?
I can't remember if I've read this before but I don't think so ... I quite enjoyed it. A sexy read - and I always love the pining, smitten hero. Even better, the heroine is 39, the hero 41. And it's hot! And emotional, friends to lovers ... just a great little novella
Read this to my boyfriend's mother while she was passing. She loved erotic romance like this. I hated how Bram called Lucy "babe" so much. I also hated some of the cheesy lines that made me roll my eyes. But the story was good, and so was the sex. Overall, it's a good read.
There are very few stories I bother to read more than once, but Luring Lucy is on that very short list! I've read it twice now and have every intention to read it again! Bram is a 41 yo hunk who has been in love with his best friend's wife, Lucy, from the second he met her. When the ass of a best friend dies, he becomes Lucy's and her kids' right hand man, but doesn't make a play for her so she has time to heal from her loss. Thirty-nine yo Lucy has no idea Bram has feelings for her, not to mention she's got some insecurity issues so many of us have after having kids and hitting midlife. When Lucy drops her kids off with Bram for a camping trip, her mood clues him into feeling this is his moment to let her know. He drops the kids off with Lucy's best friend instead (who is also cheering Bram on!) and goes after her. This is where the story starts. Bram is a dream guy and Lucy is such a worthy heroine for him! This story just makes me melt. :-)
I loved Lucy-she's an average older woman with body insecurities from age, motherhood etc., and the way Bram not only addressed but appreciated all those changes physically and emotionally..sigh...
I got a kick out of how confident Bram was with his sexuality. He wasn't domineering, more laid back and casual. And being completely open about his feelings to Lucy after all these years-sweetness in a good-looking package!
My only complaint..bigger isn't always attractive to read about when you have to work it because it causes some discomfort to the other person. It didn't really distract from the overall story, just more of a passing observation.
I appreciate that the main characters are older-41 and 39 respectively-not something you typically find in romance books. A quick and easy read, I enjoyed this fun and sexy novella!
I read this because Lori Foster wrote it. I will read anything she writes, and that's all the recommendation I need. However, I really liked this story. It was just such a sweet (and steamy) look at a man who has finally reached the limit of being quiet and has decided to go after the woman he's loved for a while. I really liked it.
This story was terrible. It had no substance, the writing was sub par, Lucy was very annoying, and Bram couldn't decide if he was a human or a caveman! Not worth reading.
