Excellent book. Slade did his very best to convince Maggie that he was no good, had no redeeming value. The reality of being on the run, and finding out more about his past, almost made her agree. But in spite of everything, Maggie knew that he wasn't as bad as he thought he was, that he was very capable of the caring and love she knew was inside him. I loved the conclusion to the story, and I'm really looking forward to the next phase of the agency.

Debra Webb is a great writer. She pulls you right into the book and you don't want to put it down until your finish with it. She knows how to keep her readers on there toes though out a book too. Plus as your reading her books she will throws things out there that will make you wonder what happens next in the book. Her characters in her books are always strong from the beginning to the end of them. She also shows there flaws too which makes you want to root for the good guys to always win in the end of her books.

In this Colby Agency book that is exactly what Debra did with the characters. This was last installment of the trilogy in the Colby Agency. You finally find out how Slade Keaton is connected to the Agency too. You learn about his past and the reason why he has watched the agency for a couple of years. He get involved with Maggie James who owns the coffee shop that is right across from the Agency. She has no idea what is in store for her though out this book. Maggie also has a secret that she hasn't shared with her lover either.

Plus her loyal readers of this series are in a real shock in the end of this book and they never saw it coming either.

In Webb's romantic suspense novel, Slade Keaton was the man Maggie James fell in love with until she learned that he had lied. On the run and escaping a hit meant for him, she fled a danger she didn't understand with a man she wasn't sure she even knew. And now she was pregnant with his child. Slade had lived a life of aliases, but still couldn't forget that he was the son of a merciless assassin named the Dragon. Until the Colby Agency investigation had put him and Maggie on her radar, he'd managed to stay outside his mother's reach. Now Slade just may become the thing he most detested to save the woman and child he loved. A fast-paced addition to the Colby Agency Secrets series.
