Attorney Reggie Meyers is having a bad day. First of all she loses a court case and because she's brand new, she worries about her job. And then driving on the way home. she thinks she might have a flat tire so tries to cut across a couple of lanes, and as she's doing that, a dog runs out in front of her. Slamming on her brakes, the battered pickup behind her can't stop in time. Adding insult to injury, she gets the ticket.

Dylan Monroe is a dairy farmer ... one with a heart of gold and anxious to help Reggie in ny way he can. Doesn't hurt that she's beautiful and feisty. Dylan winds up taking her home and finding that someone has broken in and trashed her apartment. Later there is someone firing gunshots at her.

Reggie has learned not to trust anyone ... but she feels much safer when Dylan sticks around to protect her. Who wants Reggie dead ... and why?

This is fast-paced with a lot of action and several twists and turns to keep the reader engaged. Throw in a little romance and it's quite an enjoyable read. The characters are almost too good to be true. Dylan has a habit of winking almost every time he speaks to Reggie .... the only real negative I found. This is a Christian author, so there's quite a lot of talk about faith and trusting in the Lord that everything will turn out okay in the end.

Many thanks to the author / Backlit PR / Pelican Book Group / Netgalley for the digital copy of this Christian Romantic Suspense. Opinions expressed here are unbiased and entirely my own.

I fell in love w/this couple. Hot headed, pretty red headed attorney at law Reggie Meyers smacks into a cowpoke's old beaten up pick up truck and gets mad at him. Well, that's Reggie for you. Her car is totaled so he drives her home and soon discovers her life is in danger. Reggie's problems then go from bad to worse.

Pursued is suppose to be a mystery, suspense romance. Big city Lawyer and small town farmer. One is Religious and other one isn't. One is from a big family the other doesn't have any family. The whole opposites attract story line.
The story starts off with a bang and soon falls apart in a mess of cliché that do not end. The best I can say is the story is a lifetime movie story line that doesn't fulfill what it promises.
I enjoy a religious romance but this one hits readers over the head with God, prayer and his hand in all things. I have rad many Christian romance stories most leave readers with a reason for everything that happens. This story shoves that down your throat.
The story lacks creativity from Dylan Monroe being a fireman, farmer, and military. Reggie Meyers who questions everything, lawyer who can't seem to think for herself.
This reader found herself flipping pages until the very end which once again was very easy figure out.
Thank you to Netgellay and the Publisher Pelican Book Group for the copy of Lillian Duncan Pursued.

Thank you NetGalley for the copy of Pursued by Lillian Duncan that I read and reviewed.
This book was pretty good but I wish they would have marked it have religious romance because they are not really my cup of tea. I also find it a bit ironic that in most of the book they are talking about God yet they have a crazed killer trying to kill the main character not very Godly if you ask me.
This book was definitely full of action from the start. I fear enjoyed that part. Who the killer was you were kept guessing and that was also great. The romance got lost in the the religious aspect of the book for me. I mean you can't fall in love with someone if they are not also a Christian? That is very insulting and I really feel this book needs to be marked as a Christian romantic suspense.
I am giving Pursued three out of five stars.

Reggie’s bad day just got a whole lot worse.

Reggie is certainly the most interesting lawyer I’ve had the pleasure of reading about. She had my sympathy from the very start of the book. First, she bungles an important contract, and then she’s in a wreck in holiday traffic. Fortunately the man in the other car is Dylan Monroe. Dylan insists on driving her home. Once there, they find that Reggie’s apartment has been ransacked. As if that weren’t enough, when Dylan and Reggie come back to clean the apartment on the day after Thanksgiving, someone starts shooting at her. Dylan insists he can protect her, but Reggie has trust issues. Will she take a leap of faith and trust a man she’s hardly knows?

Ms. Duncan really knows how to pace a good suspense. From the moment Reggie is in a wreck, her life becomes a series of life threatening incidents that kept me turning pages. I couldn’t wait to see what would happen to Reggie and Dylan next. Even though the book was fast paced, Ms. Duncan worked in some slower moments that highlighted Dylan and Reggie’s softer sides and allowed me to get to know them better. I particularly liked the scene when Dylan gave Reggie a tour of his hometown. I couldn’t help but smile as Dylan described each of the buildings and the people who lived in them. I’m sure anyone who’s ever lived in a small town will crack a smile when they come to that passage.

I also loved the way that Dylan witnessed to Reggie. Reggie grew up in foster care and doesn’t trust or depend on anyone but herself, and she certainly doesn’t have any faith in God. However, Dylan, his family, and friends slowly begin to change her mind. Dylan shared his faith with Reggie simply by living a life following Christ’s example.

I thought that Dylan and Reggie made a good couple despite coming from completely different worlds. Reggie loves the city and wants nothing more than to be a successful attorney. Her trust issues make it hard for anyone to get close to her. Dylan’s heart resides in the country on his farm. He’s an open and trusting soul willing to lend a hand to help a stranger. Despite the huge differences in their lives, Dylan and Reggie find themselves falling in love. I liked that their love for each other didn’t magically fix all their issues. They really had to work for their happy ending, but there is no doubt in my mind that they will have a very happy life together.

Pursued is a fast paced story filled with characters that defy expectations. I recommend it to anyone who likes a good romantic suspense mixed with an inspirational message.

The ultimate test of a good novel is the story told, and Lillian Duncan created a powerful story with Pursued. First the attorney, Reggie (short for Regina) Meyers is in danger of losing her job because of a grammatical error on a contract.

At the airport on her way home, a woman accidentally whacks her in the head with luggage when she takes it from the carousel. Still dizzy from the blow, Reggie tries to weave her way through heavy traffic. She swerves to avoid a dog being chased by a child and an old pickup collides with her car.

She doesn’t care how handsome the driver is, she’s angry. Since her vehicle absorbed most of the impact, he offers to drive her home. After he uses some persuasion, she goes with him only to find the door to her home wide open, her apartment ransacked, trashed and the furniture slashed.

The owner of the pickup, Dylan Monroe, insists she can’t stay in that apartment after such vandalism. The person might be a killer.

Thus begins the chase. Reggie is pursued by someone who is serious about killing her. She’s shot at, her phone is bugged, and bombs are placed on her car.

Although Dylan just met her, he insists on protecting her. He takes her to his sister’s house. When she’s followed there, he moves her to his parents, then to a friend’s place that is difficult to find and equipped with detection equipment.

It takes a while for Reggie to understand why Dylan wants to help. He’s a committed Christian and feels it’s his calling to do what he can for a person in need. Reggie, abandoned by her parents at a young age, is in need of someone who cares. She grew up in foster homes and knows little of committed love and devotion. She fights being attracted to Dylan because he’s a farmer and she’s an attorney.

The story is a great read, and that’s why I give it five stars it deserves.

Wanting an Edgy Christian Fiction ? One that combines Faith, Murder and Mayhem together ? In Pursured, we meet Reggie aka Regina , she is a lawyer at Benton Associates and it seems that her day is about to get really bad as she loses the account for the Lightning Bolt over a spelling grammar error because of course - the person she had signing the contract was an ex- English Teacher. It shows readers , that English is so important nowadays no matter what you do or career you pursue. Fast forward to the Airport scene, grabbing her luggage she bumps into someone and lands with a bruise on her head - Can her day get any worse ? Unfortunately for Reggie , the day is just starting as at the end of the novel , you'll be thinking "Boy , how can anyone live through what she's been through". Driving home, she ends up in a Car Crash and then when she finally arrives home , her place is trashed from bottom to top . It seems that Fate is definitely not allowing Reggie any free passes today. Enter Dylan, her knight in Farming gear - We read as Dylan takes Reggie under his wing and helps her but soon he too will find himself caught in a track of mayhem as it seems somebody is content in Reggie being terminated. As the novel goes along, we discover that Reggie was adopted and that all the bad things happening have something to do with her borth parents ? Can Reggie locate her birth parents and discover what the Heaven is going on before it's too late and she finds herself six feet under ? Will Dylan and Reggie end up together as we discover Bobbie Jo has more than the hots for Dylan and she won't let anyone near "HER" man ?

It’s always exciting to see a new book out on the market, especially when the book is in the suspense genre. (Yes, I’m a suspense-lover maniac!) Combining a good mix of suspense, mystery, and romance, Lillian Duncan’s new novel, Pursued, is sure to please!

Reggie was fun. That’s the first word that popped into my head as I read this. She had extremes, of course, but overall I thought she was lots of fun to get to know. The beginning of this story I found myself chuckling over everything that was happening. Definitely one of those “bad days” for Reggie. And crashing into farmer Dylan’s truck seemed, at the time, only to add to her troubles. Ends up, that was the best thing that could’ve happened to her! Dylan was great. I enjoyed getting to know him and loved when his protective instincts kicked in over Reggie. Talk about being a gallant gentleman!

The plot of a farmer protecting a city-girl from an assassin’s bullets was a refreshingly new idea. Lillian’s writing is bold and vivid, putting you right into the moment as Reggie dodges bullets and Dylan tries to keep her one step ahead of her unknown enemy. Emotions sometimes weren’t played as powerfully as they could’ve been, but I’m sure that’ll come with experience for this talented writer!

Pursued is sure to hold you captivated as Reggie and Dylan dodge bullets. I really liked how Dylan lived his faith and, in turn, witnessed to Reggie just through his actions. It never got too preachy and added to the story, in my opinion. For those readers who like to discover new authors, Lillian Duncan is one to look up and keep an eye out for!

Reggie Meyers is a high-powered lawyer, at least she wants to be. Right now she's an apprentice lawyer who has just bungled a big contract. And crashed her car into a farmer's pickup. And found her apartment trashed. Oh, and someone keeps shooting at her.

But the aforementioned pickup belongs to studly Dylan Monroe, who sneaks in some farming among some mysterious "other things." After driving her home and seeing her trashed apartment, he's not going to leave her alone until she's safe. And the way things are going, that might take a while.

Lillian Duncan's debut romantic suspense is a delightful romp through Ohio (and Pennsylvania and West Virginia.) Populated with interesting characters, a couple running gags, and the steady drumbeat of suspense, it's a delightful and quick read.

I'd tell you more, but I might have to kill you.

One could say Reggie is having a bad day. How was she to know things were only going to get worse from there? On a good note, Dylan, the man she's collided with in an accident, is kind enough to stay by her side.
From there the two are taken on the ride of their lives. Someone is after Reggie, and they seem to stop at nothing to mark her for death.
Wrapped up in plenty of suspense, Pursued delivers a whirlwind of action in a chaotic chain of events. I felt for Reggie and Dylan. Dylan's character is unbelievably amazing, for him to stick around for someone he's barely met, let alone the person who caused the accident.
I enjoyed this thrilling story very much. Lillian Duncan delivers a wild ride that grips you by the heart and leaves you breathless as you anticipate the next move. Don't miss this great novel!

In Lillian Duncan's new book, Pursued, Reggie finds herself going from the fry pan into the fire and dragging Dylan in with her. After they meet "by accident," he becomes involved in protecting her from a gunman. Reggie finds she's not only running from whomever is out to kill her, she's also running from her growing attraction to Dylan. As an up-and-coming attorney living in the city, she has no desire to get involved with a farmer whose life is in the country---and a Christian at that.

Of course, I won't reveal the actual "who" of the whodunit. You'll have to find out on your own. If you're looking for light entertainment spiced with romance and danger, consider going after Pursued.

Begun by a fender bender, stubborn, independent Reggie, an up and coming lawyer in big city Cleveland, finds herself attracted to handsome, white knight and farmer, Dylan. Dylan helps Reggie when a hit man trashes her apartment, plants a bomb, and tries to kill her. Reggie has no idea why anyone would want her dead but Dylan plans on finding out. Can a city lawyer find something in comman with a small town farmer? A recommended read that I found to be entertaining as well as spiritually uplifting.

I wanted to give this a 4.5. I really like the Maggie McKenzie series. I've read 2, but I don't know if there are more.
Maggie, an investigative newspaper journalist, weaves her work assignment and the personal quest for truth about her own family into a fast-paced trip in England. She suddenly becomes a hunted person, and then has to find a kidnapped family. What a roller-coaster ride! Exciting and fun!

I loved this book. I did not want to put it down and hated to see it end. It was like reading a Dean Koontz novel only with an inspirational twist. I'll be looking for more books by Lillian Duncan.
