Little Lamb is lost! She can't find her friend Mary. Dora and Boots step into The Big Book of Nursery Rhymes to help Little Lamb find her way back to Mary. Along the way they meet all kinds of favorite nursery rhyme characters!
This book was better than I thought it would be, although the bar was low. My 4-year-old son picked this out at a book giveaway event. I'm not a big fan of character tie-ins so I tried to discourage him, but he was set on it and, hey, a book is a book. It turns out that he enjoys all the references to nursery rhymes (and adds in the actual rhymes as he reads), and the book has some nice interactive elements.
ETA November 2018: This book never got much play at our house, and I really dislike TV character tie-in books on principle, so I cleared this one off of the shelf and gave it away.
I'm pretty sure this has been adapted from the tv show and not the other way around, since some illustrations that I would consider key, as well as some text (and typos!), are either missing or inaccurate. But the kid loves this stuff. My other wish would be that there was a pronunciation guide for the Spanish ... because I have not a clue.
