Found this, my 20th Clive Cussler book , to be very good but more here than just one book. Also drifted off the main character a couple of times and I was wondering if he’d popped out for a break. The First part in the aircraft attempted assaination was brilliant and, being a pilot, I found it feasible and very realistic. The passion when the girls were found inside the sunken fuselage was tenderly passionate.. brilliant. But then he wonders off in a snow storm maybe to find the archaeologist girl , where the dig happens to be close by.. really in the middle of the Tundra. I loved the chase in Pitts classic car ... awesome never knowing quite the ending. Definitely similar to 007 in his down hill chase in a wingless plane! The kidnapping of the ship and iceberg camo was brilliant . Pitt using a sub to find the plastic was a long winded diversion and not needed. Whereas how the kidnapped victims started to feel lost in the cold was very good writing , the effect of cold , starvation and the fear of the unknown was very real having had military training against that it brought back bad memories ! I found the link between the brothers and their cover stories ridiculous really. The Special Ops solidiers were crazy egotistic at their intro, but came good in the end. I found the book was brilliant in some aspects, but too many difficult to swallow links lost it the 5th Star.
