This was a pretty stunning volume for the D/P/Pt series...a big change is in the wind for the trio and the future will no longer be the same between Diamond and Pearl. I do think that these three work best together...where the heroes and heroines of the previous series could stand alone. This volume (and the next couple) are my favorites of this storyline, so I'm glad to see them finally in English--especially as it seems that VIZ has given up AGAIN on the older storylines (and right as they'd start the Ruby/Sapphire story-arc!), so I'm glad I keep buying the Japanese volumes of this series.

The story is very middle of the road, I suppose perfectly matching the middle of the games.

And there is finally some character development for Pearl and Dia. Only took three volumes longer than I wanted it to happen but they finally acknowledge the slightly toxic traits Pearl has in the twos comedy routines.

The action flowed well and was interesting for both of the main gym battles shown here. Am more interested in seeing what happens next than with previous volumes in the Diamond and Pearl era so far.

This is probably my new favorite book. It was shorter than the other ones but I don’t care why they are changing the length from 10 chapters long to 7 chapters long. I hope you have liked my review of Pokémon Adventures Diamond Pearl and Platinum volume 4 bye 👋.

This one was great. I will say I didn't really like what happened between Diamond and Pearl, however I'm glad it ended the way it did.
We're getting to see a more talented side to Lady now, I'm really liking her.
It was nice to see Fantina again, I really enjoy her personality.

Enjoyed this one a fair amount. Ended with a cliffhanger which was a nice surprise, as most of the DPPt series has been quite slow thus far.

This is really pretty good! It's aimed at children, but interesting enough to hold an adult's attention.

While it’s nice to see more team Galactic, their intentions are very stereotypical for the Pokémon series. It’s still just an ok arc right now…

A solid set of chapters where the characters are developing. They are still blazing through the gym leaders, and they haven't really built up a team. The pacing just seems off.

4.5/5. This volume was really intense. Compared to the previous volume where the trio was unaware of the dangers of Team Galactic and took them on without really realizing what they were getting themselves into, in this volume they are challenged and threatened with the Galactic Boss, Cyrus. Cyrus serves as an interesting arch villain of the series as Giovanni only wanted world domination, Lance wanted to kill all humans, and Maxie and Archie were echo-terrorists. Cyrus can be seen as the only villain who is entirely evil as Giovanni learned his errors and disbanded Team Rocket and the previous three were misguided.

Some fun battles in this one and we begin to understand the goals of Team Galaxy. Plus a rift develops within the core group's foundation.

This one actually isn't terrible. I mean, the jokes are still really bad, but the characters are showing some life and personality. Plus, there are some clever implications to the plot that are realized by the characters. I don't think it's really worth reading if you're not of a certain age, but you could arguably do worse, I suppose.

So this time, Pearl, Diamond and Lady go to Pastoria and Battle another Gym Leader! Route 212, catch up with Cynthia - and she helps them with a Psyduck problem! After some help, the team make it to Celestic Town and a showdown with Cyrus! I find this manga addictive, and I think Pokemon fans will love it too!

Introduced in depth to the master villain of the piece. Doesn't seem evil yet but definitely something not right...

This volume was really intense as they are threatened with the Galactic Boss, Cyrus. Cyrus is an interesting arch villain of the series that resembles pure evil.
Dia is my favorite character.
