Whether we’re young, old, or in between, these feelings can flood our hearts at almost any time. Faced with our limitations, our most urgent need is to know God better.
Beloved author Ruth Myers is a willing guide for women who are ready to approach aging in a different way. This 31-day devotional helps you choose joy now and prepare for a satisfying future.
Because I've read and appreciated other books by Ruth Myers, this title grabbed my attention because I'm growing older--and I want God's perspective and encouragement as I walk through this season of life. Myers' wisdom is gentle and positive.
Each day includes Scripture and then a devotional relating to the Scripture and a topic related to "growing older."
It's definitely an encouragement to seek God on daily basis and to "grow old along with [Him], for the best is yet to be."
I would recommend this to anyone wanting to live the last season of their lives to God's glory!
It may have been the wrong time of my life to read this one; I think I will enjoy it a great deal more in about ten years or more. The thoughts are good, but didn't seem to fit me yet at this time in my life.
Wonderful read for us older and approaching older adults. Reminds us of our place in the body of Christ and that we are still able and expected by God to spend time with Him and serve as He enables us. It is good to be a Christian. I just wish it were a yearly devotional.
Some of the devotions in this book are outstanding, others didn't really reach me. The book is well worth reading by people of any age. For me, in old age, it is on the whole a very encouraging book, one I have read several times.
Beautiful, deep, honest encouragement and wisdom on faith and aging. Myers writes from her heart to ours, cheering us on in the later years. A phenomenal devotional!
