Succubus Revealed is both satisfying and excruciatingly, mind-numbingly predictable.
Nothing much except Georgina's personal woes propels this series' finale. The book starts on a fairly ridiculous note - Georgina for some unknown reason works as a Santa helper at a mall. Continues in the same ridiculous way when she and her gang of friends are forced by Jerome to participate in a bowling tournament with another demon's crew. Things start picking up when Georgina is suddenly transferred to a new location - Las Vegas. Only then does our succubus start questioning why the Hell is so involved in her business. And then spends entirely too much time on unveiling the transparent mystery surrounding her contract...
If you have read previous 5 books in the series, you know exactly how it all will end. No surprises, no new revelations. All elephant-size clues given by the author prior come together to culminate in the ending 99% of us expected. Satisfying? Yes. An exciting reading experience? NO.
The book is not entirely a waste though. It is a one long series' epilogue, a farewell to the characters of sorts. Melancholy and bitter sweet, with a few touching moments.
All in all, this series is not a bad one (if you are willing to overlook the fact that the main characters are morally rotten and never truly atone for their indiscretions), but a couple books too long. Richelle Mead's mistake here is that she stretched her story way too thin, especially in the last two novels that are almost void of mystery and consist mainly of relationship melodrama.
As for Georgina, I will let Jerome speak for me: “You know, I might miss some of your witticisms when you’re gone, but one thing I won’t miss? Your overwhelming sense of melodrama and despair. It’s too much even for me.”

WHAT AN ENDING! It's okay, no spoilers :)
This was a wonderfully, beautifully, perfect end to this series. It had everything that I've come to love from the Succubus series: a mystery, witty dialogue, my favourite characters and sex, of course. Things drew to a brilliant close that was dramatically fitting for a series of books that have kept me so thoroughly hooked throughout. Something huge is discovered that would be insane when told by some authors but is cataclysmically awesome when handled by Richelle Mead.
Don't you just love it when you arrive at the final installment in a series and there's this great big pulling together of all events and happenings of the previous books? When everything ties together and it becomes apparent that small matters all counted towards the bigger picture and the author knew how it would all come together and explode into an extraordinary climax from the very start. Like, if you read my updates you will see where I mentioned the lengthy dreams in book 5. I thought it was a case of the author finding something to fill the time because her series was running out of juice - oh, apparently not.
Lots of mysteries get solved and questions get answered, all remarkably told in Richelle Mead's quirky and addictive style. And if you felt that you were losing faith in some of the characters you'd previously loved at the end of the last book, then don't worry, Succubus Revealed restored all my old feelings for Georgie, Seth and their quirky mortal and immortal friends. Personally, I felt that this book could not have been better, it's my favourite of an extremely enjoyable series.
And the conclusion is both happy and sad... bittersweet I think is most appropriate. I will miss these novels very much.

My four-star rating is more for the series in general, so take that as you will. Succubus Revealed is mostly a two-star book that contains a couple of heart-wrenching four-star scenes with five-star characters whom I've grown to love.
I did have some problems with this book, and one of my biggest ones was all of the side trips that were seemingly tied to one another, but were knotted together so haphazardly. Some things got resolved, others didn't. Some side stories made sense and seemed meaningful, while others were throw-aways.
Can someone explain to me why they all went bowling?

Even though we were hit over the head constantly with "clue-by-fours," there were still some intricacies that I didn't see coming. You know how it's all going to end, but still ... but still. There are a couple of shockers in the end that I think even the most attentive will be surprised by.
Georgina was probably the most likable in this book out of the whole series, and the supporting characters were all fantastic - more so than usual. Carter! Carter. He is such a great character. I want him to have a spin-off, I really do.
I'm content with this one and its ending, although I know some people won't be. I always liked Georgina, I never hated Roman or Seth, and I enjoyed watching the story unfold even though I knew where she was taking things. I'm sad to see the series come to an end, but it's satisfying that she gave it a conclusive ending instead of stringing us along for umpteen books, (some would say the previous book was practically filler and unnecessary, but I digress ...)
I have a hard time abandoning a series regardless of how I feel, but I think if you even remotely enjoyed the previous books and the characters, you owe it to yourself to see how Georgina's story ends. I can't say you'll be happy with the outcome when all is said and done, but you will be glad it's over.

Okay, Richelle Mead, you and I are done. D.O.N.E. It's a good thing I never started Bloodlines or Dark Swan, because I thought Last Sacrifice tried me high enough, but then you went one step further and wrote... this. And 'this' is the end of the road for me.
I used to like Georgina Kindcaid. Like most of Mead's characters she started life as an interesting, flawed personality with some major issues but an undoubted ability to kick ass and keep you interested. Then she found tru lurve (and oh no! her love is forbidden!) and lost all semblance of a personality and turned into a selfish, self-pitying whiny brat. You'd think a few thousand years of living would have given her a little more perspective.
I didn't hate the previous two books the way other people did - they weren't fantabulous, but I could live with the angsting because I had the larger picture in mind, I wanted to see how the series was going to get wrapped up, and I wanted Georgina to get her happy ending. A few pages into this book, however, I realized that the only ending that was going to be happy enough for me was one where Georgina fell under a bus and Seth married Maddie and lived happily ever after. Screw that immortal love, I want me some gore.
Succubus Revealed had all the excitement of day-old porridge. It was more like a novella stretched out over a few hundred pages. There were a bunch of unnecessary and obviously desperate ploys to keep the story running – a demonic bowling league? Really? To be fair, the demonic bowling league would probably have been fun and quirky if only the rest of the story had any substance. Added gratuitously to the generic sludge was an unnecessary, two-dimensional, completely irrelevant Mortensen brother who is more a caricature of a hipster than a real character. Mead really was scraping the barrel there.
If you didn’t know exactly where this story was headed from the minute Niphon came on the scene, well... lucky you, you might be in the one percentile of people who actually enjoyed this book! For the rest of us, though, Captain Obvious may as well have authored this story. I think the worst decision Mead ever made was to dumb down Georgina in order to (I’m assuming) draw out the suspense. Because, dude, we got it like three books ago, just get it over with already. Georgina spends most of the book stubbornly refusing to see what’s staring her (and us) in the face. Since this does not, in any way, further the plot or character development, it was annoying as all hell. Even when Roman lays out all the facts and joins them logically and consistently, she is still readier to believe it’s all some stupid coincidence rather than a hellish plot.
And worse is the utter crap we are forced to swallow about soulmates and a love beyond time, and how Georgina would rather give up the fight and remain a succubus for all eternity than live as a human without Seth. Over and over we are forced to hear how transcendental theirunhealthy co-dependency love is and how Georgina is nothing without him. Gag.
Succubus Revealed is a shoddy excuse for a book. The writing is terrible, the plot is non-existent, the characters are either annoying or inconsequential and the only people in the whole entire story who were worth any wordspace were Jerome and Roman.
I’m giving this book an extra star simply because it’s over. No more whinging, no more angst, no more mind-numbingly predictable storylines. Also, because Jerome was still awesome, and Carter was not unbearable. There are no other redeeming factors to this tragic ending to what was once one of my favourite series. If I ever feel the urge to pick up another Mead book, somebody, PLEASE, bitchslap me!

There are two things that Richelle Mead does amazingly every time.
The first is that she is able to end a series perfectly. Whether it be ending an epic Young Adult series or an Urban Fantasy one, Mead knows exactly how to satisfy her readers after bringing them on a rollercoaster ride.
Succubus Revealed is the sixth and final book in the Georgina Kincaid series and while I’m glad about what happens in this book, I’m still sad to see it end as a fan. The book starts out fun and light-hearted, hitting the high notes with lots of jokes and silliness. But there is that usual angst that comes with Georgina. As they say in the book, Georgie can be a little melodramatic. But the woman has a reason to be!
Right when her world seems to be perfect, she gets a notice of transfer from Hell. Wondering that the hell brought this on, Georgie recruits her friend, Roman aka The Nephilim to help her figure this out.
But the real mystery is how Seth knew Georgina’s real name from the fifth century...
This answer and more is revealed in this book. How appropriate that Mead called it Succubus Revealed. Because, really, EVERYTHING comes together in the end.
Which leads me to the second thing that Richelle Mead does extremely well - and that is plotting.
It’s amazing how she is able to match things up perfectly with all her events. You come to understand Jerome’s don’t-give-a-fuck attitude towards Georgie, you find out Carter’s real purpose in Seattle, you learn why Seth’s darling sister is sick. It all matches up and I love seeing an author who takes pride in making sure there is continuity in her work.
For once, I can truly say that I figured this one out. I had my theories going into this book and I think Mead went the right way with this ending.
Not only is the ending what every Georgina Kincaid fan wants for our Succubus girl, but it was very touching as well. I didn’t expect to be so emotional over this book. Seth hasn’t been my favourite person throughout this entire series, but you just know when two people are meant to be together and it’s clear that Seth and Georgina are meant to be.
This passage really proves this point:
I tightened my arms around him and drew him toward the bed. “I’m still alive, aren’t I?”
“Yes,” he admitted, letting himself be drawn along. “But are you sure you don’t want to just wait?”
Hugh had said something after booking my flight. Everything changes when you’re mortal. You don’t know what tomorrow will bring.
“I’ve waited long enough,” I told Seth, just before kissing him.
And that was the moment I knew what it was like to have my soul back.
But it isn’t the love between Georgina and Seth that makes this book so good. It’s also Roman’s selfless act that blew my mind. After what he’s done in the past, I wasn’t sure what to expect of him. But his actions in this book redeem him completely. I absolutely adore him and wished there was a way to read more about him.
All in all, Succubus Revealed is the perfect ending to an amazing series. I’m sure fans will be satisfied with Georgina’s final book when they flip that last page. I know I was.

First up: this book was unnecessary. I think it was a case of Miss Mead getting contracted for six books, but being done with the story by five. So she basically took what could have been about 50 pages of plot resolution and turned it into a 300 page book, where there's a lot of talk and internal monologues, but not much actually happens. Well, except for few stuff which anyone with half a brain could have seen coming two installments ago. And so: whereas book #5 turned out to be an elaborate set up story, this one was a stretched out resolution.
Maybe it was my skewed view, seeing the UF world through the eyes of a newbie, but back in 2008 when I started this series, I loved Mead's writing. Simple, but witty and with a surprisingly sympathetic main character. Over the course of the series though, the story deteriorated. Georgina lost her appeal, the secondaries became cardboard characters and the more I got to see of the world, the less it started making sense.
I should admit: there was one improvement compared to last book; this time around Mead didn't use blatant 'hints' to hit us over the head with it repeatedly. But the thing is: she didn't need to. Mead has a way of stating something and then elaborating on it excessively. So if you didn't get it initially, she'll make sure you got it after she spelled it out. Not only does that make me think she underestimates her audience's intelligence, it also doesn't shine a positive light on Georgina. Having your main character pick up on signals, elaborate on them constantly but not process the information, makes her look really stupid.
But, as becomes clearer throughout the story, Georgina's reason for being really slow on the uptake is not (only) because she's dim. It's because she's incredibly self absorbed.
This girl must be one of the most egocentric protagonist I have ever read about. And I wouldn't even mind, if the contrary "Georgina is an angel who always takes care of others"-message wasn't being shoved down out throats constantly. Throughout the story she thinks of herself first, others later and even 'the good' she does is immediately followed up by a hint for a compliment from either the reader or one of the other characters. Those same characters risk their lives to help her and through most of it Georgina remains apathetic and downright dismissive. But still the reader is expected to love her.

This glorification of Georgina was also apparent in the romance story line.
And so this concludes the last part of the Georgina show. In where the old Georgina -who ran from her mistakes, avoided confrontation, was self centered and got punished for it- turned into the new Georgina: who runs from her mistakes, avoids confrontation, is self centered and gets rewarded for it.

I finally figured out the issue with the conclusion of Richelle Mead's series: the last book is not necessary. This is the problem I have with Mead. She starts off relatively good with her plot; the third and/or forth book being the strongest. Her stride begins to really diminish at the fifth book and she crashes and burns with the final book. This is the direct result of there being too many books in the series. The ending to this series could have easily been included in Succubus Shadows and in the process saving us all a headache.
We last left Georgina hearing Seth whisper her first name Letha. This book picks up with her still questioning how it's possible for him to know that name. I don't understand why she couldn't guess . It was so obvious at this point! The plot was so thin in this book you could see right through it. Georgina asks her friends and Jerome how Seth could know her original name and soon after finds herself being shipped off to Vegas. Yet, again she just couldn't connect the dots of the sudden transfer. It was very frustrating.
The first half of the book was pretty much fluff filled with angst over her impending move, Seth's family issues and...wait for it...bowling. This is why I say Mead could have wrapped this up in book 5. By the time we get to the big reveal, the anticipation is lost because the reader has already come to a conclusion Georgina was too slow to get. The second half is full of predictable plot closures ending with a neatly tied "happily ever after" bow.
I didn't hate it, but I didn't really like it either.

I loooove this series.
This is one of my favorite UF series, ever. Admittedly, the first book is the weakest of them all, while book 4 is my favorite. The plot, characters and romance get better and better with each installment.
The love story has an incredible arc and it is absolutely beautiful. You'll need to go all the way to book 6 to find out how it ends, and it is utterly worth it.
Georgina Kincaid is a great strong female character with all her faults. Her insecurities and weaknesses make her a better character, she is not perfect, but she is good. She is flawed and that makes her more real.
Seth, although completely outside of the guys I would normally found attractive, is also great; sweet and kind, he is a character that grows in each book, he is loyal, authentic and loves with his all being. He is mundane and so real that he is the perfect juxtaposition to Georgina.
These books are full of adventure and fun characters, but to me, what really makes them so special is that the love story here is not just your typical romance. What we have here is a TRUE LOVE kind of EPIC love story to the likes of The Princess Bride.
This is the kind story that stays with you, no matter how many books you read or how many years have passed since you first read it , you don’t forget this one.
I completely recommend this series. READ IT!
P.S.: By now, I have lost count of how many times I have read/listen to the audiobooks of this series. The first time, I did actually read them, but soon I knew I would want to come to them again and I got the audiobooks. They are great.

This is one of the times that I need half stars cause this book is worth more than 3 stars but is less than 4 for me, so I'll just have to settle for 3 stars.
The writing,plot and characters in this series is up to point, this book tied up all strings and I certainly love how it ended.Can't believe this is the last book in the series, will definitely miss the characters. Their witty banter and comments is just so hilarious.
“Georgina doesn’t need material things anymore,” teased Cody. “She’s paid in love now.”
Jerome fixed the young vampire with a cold stare. “Do not ever say anything that saccharine again.”
Like we all guessed Georgina and Seth got their happily ever after, but they were casualties, one that I love so dearly. The revelations blew my mind

It's December in Succubus Revealed and the new year is about to ring in substantial changes for Georgina. The final book in the series begins with an unexpected and somewhat subversive scenario.
Georgina is back "on" again with Seth, adjusting to having a housemate, and job hunting. She quit her bookstore job because she's been unfairly painted as the evil femme fatale for the demise of Seth's previous relationship; I blame Seth more than Georgina. But she may not have to deal with this much longer as she receives notice of a transfer to a succubus' dream place, Las Vegas, the original American "Sin City." Georgina is all aflutter at the ramifications of this transfer, to which only a demonic boss can reply -
Nevertheless, I've enjoyed reading this series. Maybe it's just a variation of the "prostitute with the heart of gold" stereotype, but Mead wrote well enough to capture my interest with her anti-heroine. Neither Georgina nor Seth fits the common UF main protagonist role as neither one is a tough fighter nor an alpha figure. I give points for originality. Mead certainly included many concepts we've all faced. Ultimately, this series gives a lighthearted look at the consequences of our actions, forgiveness, and redemption.

Jerome shrugged. “We’re back to the part where I don’t give a fuck.”Succubus Revealed begins a bit slowly but it concludes the series in a satisfying way. I had spotted the clues Mead had laid out since book #3 so there are only minor surprises instead of shocking twists for me.
Nevertheless, I've enjoyed reading this series. Ugh.
This book just highlighted the reason why I try not to get too attached with a series. When it ends, it leaves a gaping hole in you that cannot be filled by anything else. Certainly not a spinoff series or an epilogue novella or dear gad no, an alternate POV.
Because this exhilarating feeling, this high after going through a journey with much loved characters is a gift. A gift that every author should strive to give their readers, a once-in-a-story gift that cannot be re-filled and resurrected by revisiting these beloved characters in torturous permutations over and over to indulge people's vanities or for whatever excuse.
Okay maybe a Carter spin-off won't be so bad.
I've given up on the predictable nature of these books, midway through. Maybe I've even learned to love the near unassuming manner this story was told. You have to just take it as part of its charms together with the simplistic narrative to get to the depth of its emotional complexity and its implications. In that aspect it didn't disappoint. All the things I've guessed way, way back in book 2 turned out right and yet it still took my breath away.
Everyone who knows my reading preference would know my short tolerance for cheese. But seeing as how much Seth and Georgina's characters had to go through to get here, that Notting Hill moment towards the end is perfectly forgivable. I'm also glad that this ended on the sixth book. Looking back, the series as a whole felt very solid, not airtight-locked in the logic department (Carter's definition of "interfering" is very hazy) but for a PNR-UF, six book series the structure was very good. You get the sense it was written with a clear end and path towards that end in sight. This may be debatable for someone who followed this series as the books were released but me, I found it very clean. Was it drawn out? Maybe. But I did enjoy the filler so I'm not one to complain.
I've fawned so much about Seth and Georgina in the past reviews neglecting the amazing secondary characters in these books. I think I pretty much loved everyone, except the Vegas people in this book. Bastien was never a favorite and his scenes here certainly didn't improve my opinion of him. I love the scenes and banter between Georgina and her dysfunctional family but can't deny I look forward to seeing the Mortensen girls. Especially Kendall. Who pwned everyone in Industrial Revolution Monopoly.
Just as how Mead pwned me with a seemingly silly story about a Succubus with a heart of gold falling in love with a human.

Before reading anyone hoping she ends up with Carter?? :P (genuinely though)
After reading
So surprise surprise she didn't end up with Carter...more's the pity. Not that I have anything against Seth, but well he ceased to be amazing after the whole Maddie incident (which is ancient history, I know, but STILL).
Overall, I would say this was a disappointing end to what was in my head one of the better urban fantasy series out there. I still remember the excitement of reading Succubus Blues (Georgina Kincaid #1), the wit, the plot, everything was perfect. Succubus Revealed on the other hand, had none of its predecessor's charm and was slow to start. It didn't really pick up and when it came down to all the revelations, well there was no shock or suspense. I had literally predicted everything that would happen more or less due to the massive clue given to us in the previous book.
My favourite part of it all though was Carter, I adore that guy and I am currently sending a psychic link to Richelle Mead with the message "write a Carter story, come on!! COME ON!!"

Amazing AGAIN!!!!!

It's been a long time since a book had me up until the early hours of the morning, this one has done just that... My eyes are still wet!
There were a few things that I thought would happen here and a few things I was right about, just NOT in the way I imagined... there were a hundred things going on in this story and each time one happened, I became caught up, wrapped in that moment, then the next thing came along immediately.
I thought emotions had played a huge part in the last couple of books but this book? emotions were the impact that centred around just about every page. I laughed and I cried, I LIVED this book, I became lost in Georgina's world and I dreaded that final bit - the epilogue...
What a joy, what a ride, this entire series will remain with me for a long, long time. I really do cherish Richelle's books, her words reach me and form the story in my mind, she works wonders... I would recommend Richelle's books to everyone, they are remarkable, compelling and simply superb to read...

It’s here. The last book in one of my all-time favorite series has come...and gone. My love affair with it began last year, when I read the first four books in a span of a ten days. I couldn’t believe how these books affected me SO much! I was devastated after book three and the fourth one was just as heartbreaking. Waiting for the fifth book was agony, but once it arrived and I read it, hope for that happy ending was rekindled.
If you’ve read them, that whole paragraph has made sense to you. If you haven’t, I’m sorry...and you should really move them up your TBR pile. I guarantee that they will shatter your expectations. This isn’t your typical Urban-Fantasy story. It’s deep! It’s about love and hope, and the way Richelle Mead tells it is bound to leave an impression on you. It did for me. I love this series more than Vampire Academy and the Dark Swan series! But anyway, lets get to it.
Finally discovering the truth behind the mystery surrounding Georgina and Seth’s connection was the number one thing I was looking forward to in this book. The events in the other books in the series have all led up to it. And, oh, I loved seeing even the smallest ones come into play. I’m looking at you, !
SO! Let the spoiler-fest begin! You have been warned.
Ever since I started reading about Georgina’s past personas and the men she loved in that particular time, I began to suspect they were Seth. I suspected it was her Kyriakos, the husband she cheated on and sold her soul for all those centuries ago, reborn over and over, always finding each other, never meant to be together. Well, my suspicions were certainly validated when they turned out to be right. I actually bounced off the bed and did a little dance while yelling, “Yes! Yes! I knew it! I freaking knew it!!” However, my giddiness was short lived. My heart broke for both Seth and Georgina when they discovered the truth about Seth. He had to relive all the hurt she caused him in all of his past lives, especially the first one, and she had to watch him suffer through it again. After the fourth or fifth book, I had also began to suspect it had been a deal he had made with Hell. The details of it, I could not have even began to guess. They made my heart ache for Seth.
One thing I did not see coming was that Roman would turn out to be the hero in this story. I mean...what a sacrifice he made for Georgina! To be able to giver her happiness and freedom was so selfless, but I guess being able to stick it to Hell was for just for him. If Richelle Mead ever wanted to write a spin-off of this series, it should be about Roman. Although, we don’t really know how it ended for him. He may not be available for a spin-off, which leaves me very sad, but since there was no definitive answer to his fate, I’m keeping my hopes up that he’s alive and well somewhere.
Another thing I will miss about this series besides Georgina and Seth? The gang. Hugh (who was also a hero in this book), Peter, Cody, Jerome (I loved his bitchy, no-nonsense attitude), and last but certainly not least, Carter. Where will I find another group of immortals that will make me laugh as you did, guys?! There’s no other like you. [SAD face] The Unholy Rollers will forever live in my heart.
And speaking of Carter...that scene where he goes sees the Mortensens as Santa was one of the best moments in this series. I laughed while crying because I was so touched by him. It’s easy to forget he’s an angel, what with his grungy appearance and love for alcohol and cigarettes, but that moment really made him shine. I just loved it.

Hugh (who was also a hero in this book), Peter, Cody, Jerome (I loved his bitchy, no-nonsense attitude), and last but certainly not least, Carter. Where will I find another group of immortals that will make me laugh as you did, guys?! There’s no other like you. [SAD face] The Unholy Rollers will forever live in my heart.
And speaking of Carter...that scene where he goes sees the Mortensens as Santa was one of the best moments in this series. I laughed while crying because I was so touched by him. It’s easy to forget he’s an angel, what with his grungy appearance and love for alcohol and cigarettes, but that moment really made him shine. I just loved it.

The end of the book is perfect. I can assure you I’ll reread it many, many times with a huge smile on my face. I just couldn’t be happier with how it all ended. If you’re worried it will let you down, don’t be. I just don’t know any other way to put it, I loved it.

Meh. Glad it's over. The more I think about the story the more annoyed I get.
One thing I still can't get over is the issue with Seth's soul darkening and lightening. His soul got darker when he cheated on Maddie because of the guilt? But it didn't darken when he cheated on Georgina with Maddie? Why because he felt no guilt? So how guilty you feel about something is what matters more than the action itself? This seems counter-intuitive seeing how plenty of sociopaths don't feel guilty in the slightest. Even if Seth thought he was doing the right thing by leaving Georgina, you don't do that by jumping into bed with the first person you come across. (Also, do people in real life ever actually leave people because they're "no good for them?" In my experience those are the people that stick around. There are STDs that are easier to get rid of than a toxic friendship.) Then And guilt is enough of a reason to go to hell? (Catholics better watch out then.) The whole thing seems like a ploy to add drama to an already overly dramatic series and I hate it. I don't even want to think about it anymore.

And here we are... The End. Succubus Revealed is the last book in Richelle Mead's Georgina Kincaid series and I cannot begin to tell you how bittersweet reading this book felt. I wanted to hurry up and read it, yet slow down and savor the story. Ultimately I settled on "screw it, full speed ahead!" and read it in one seating.
We find Georgina working as a Santa's elf at a high-end Mall, far away from her former ideal job at her beloved bookstore, which she had to leave after what happened with Seth and Maddie. Ugh Maddie. Blech, do. not. like! But that's another rant for another time. Georgie's been ordered by Hell to transfer her succubus services to Las Vegas, but when she goes out there to scope out the scene, things seem a little too intentionally perfect. With Seth Mortenson's sister-in-law still ill with cancer in Seattle, this transfer is yet one more hurdle in their attempt to be with each other. Sweet cheesus will Georgie and Seth ever be able to be together?! You'll have your answer by the end of Succubus Revealed and I get sentimentally teary-eyed all over again just remembering it.
I did find some parts somewhat predictable, which made the beginning a little slow for me. The first half of the book was slow-moving, but by the middle, things start Happening with a capital H. Some readers probably have figured out several revelations that are hinted at in the last book, Succubus Shadows, but it is the raw emotions Ms. Mead is able to evoke that make this book so fantastic. I think Seth and Roman fans alike will be pleased with the outcome and with how things play out. The plot twists involving Jerome, Carter, and Roman separately are quite powerful. While I would have liked to have seen a few more things addressed, maybe a little more things flipped upside down in true Richelle Mead fashion, I was pleased with the way this ultimate love conquers all series was drawn to an end. The Georgina series will continue to be one of my favorites and I highly recommend it. They are very very sexy, highly emotional books, and I am glad Ms. Mead had this end in mind for Succubus Revealed. The Georgina Kincaid Series reading order:

I know I'm in the minority here, and I'm sorry about that but I really disliked this book. Please don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved the series, and I loved the ending, I just thought book #6 was not even a book. It was like a short story that began around the 65% mark. This is going to be a bit harsh. Be warned particularly if you loved the book.
This is the lowest I've given to any of the books in this series. I gave four to Succubus Shadows, so it should be obvious that I'm usually a fan of this series.
As part of a literature course I've taken at university, we learned authors don't put anything unnecessary in their short stories. Everything in it has a role and meaning because the word count is limited. It's likely we don't extend this principle to longer books, but to me Succubus Revealed was full of parts I did not understand the purpose of. I know this is not a short story (maybe it should've been), but the first half of the book is full of random stuff which didn't even have entertainment value (what's up with the bowling?). It reads almost as if the author had written it in one sitting while making sure it had enough info to finish the book with a reasonable conclusion. Anyway it's a total garbage. The scariest thing was I did not care whatever happened to Georgina and Seth. I was thinking, "Just get on with it, and tell me what happens in the end." See? That's not entertainment. The cheesy lines between Georgina and Seth were annoying, and their relationship felt superficial, if not fake. I got no real emotions from either of them because their feelings are so simple and you can describe every single emotion they had with one adjective. There was no depth to the characters. I also don't remember Georgina being so annoying. Has she been always so overdramatic and slow? Because she's so slow and clouded in her head, she doesn't do any work herself either. I don't want to reveal anything, but the only saving grace came from Kayla and Carter. I can't say much without giving hints at what happens, so let me just say they didn't feel fake. I could sense them as real (human or otherwise) beings with a less simplistic thinking process than any other main character. I think Georgina should've made time (or more like the author should've made her go) to talk to Kayla at the end of the story because I'm interested to hear what Kayla has to say. If that had happened, I would've given it three stars.
Well, as far as the story goes, it picks up halfway through, and it has an ending, with questions answered. However, it was painful to read and care, and I would've been happy to get the summary of this book in bullet points.
The only hope I have is now you have such a low expectation that you won't be as disappointed as I was.

This was a beautifully written last installment and it was, for me, the best book in the entire series. We had appearances from a lot of characters from the previous books, we finally got all the answers and we had the opportunity to see Georgina's story coming to an end.

Facing the consequences of everyone finding out about she and Seth, preparing for a bowling championship between her friends and Nanette's team and having to sort out why she had to be transferred to Las Vegas are just a few things Georgina has to face in this book. There are a lot of things happening, answers being found and times when Tru friendship and love are tested. The ending? Bitter sweet and painfully beautiful.
“It’s not a game!” I exclaimed. “It’s my life.”
A rueful smile played over the angel’s lips. “Same difference, as far as Hell’s concerned.”
I feel like there have been a lot of truly great scenes here and the characters showed how much they have changed and grow, especially Georgina.

I love how some of my theories about Seth and Georgina were right, even if I didn’t guess the entire extent of their relationship and connection and I especially loved seeing how much they have evolved.
“Georgina,” he said softly. “I love you. You’re worth it. You’re everything to me. I’d follow you to the ends of the earth. And beyond.”
My favorite character, however, has definitely been Roman and, if it's in any way imaginable, this last book made me absolutely adore him. He deserved so much better and he's that character that will live in my mind rent free. Carter, our cryptic angel, also deserves a mention as well, as he was always interesting and easy to love. I was happy to see a few appearances from other important figures from the previous books and, overall, this really was a great read.
“How’d you get so wise, Doug?”
He finished his coffee in a gulp. “Fuck if I know.”
I was also happy to see that she and Doug were able to patch things up, even with the entire Maddie situation.

We had been given a lot of answers and it was an actually well-thought-out plan that has connected the books, even when details and actions might have seen a bit too much or totally random. Well, this book has definitely connected a lot of dots that have been scattered throughout the books like Easter eggs hidden in plain sight.
“You always said I should quit the bookstore and find something else to do,” I reminded him.
“Yes, but that was because I thought you’d go on to do something respectable. Like become a stripper or the mayor’s mistress.”
While I'm happy with the answers I've got, I'm still curious about the fate of some other characters that did not receive a clear ending to their story. But, well, you can't have it all, can you? I'll take what I can get and I'll be happy with it.
Do I recommend this series? Yes. It's good. The last book was really extraordinary and unputdown-able.

hm.... well, a great book, but... everything was so predictable... we didn't even cry from agony, everything fit perfectly and soon enough..... also, what about Roman? Where is he left? Why? I think probably Richelle had some special plans to tell his story some time, but that hasn't occured yet, almost six years later.

It is with such bittersweet feelings that I write this review. Georgina Kincaid sucked me in from the very beginning of the first book, and held onto my heart all the way to the end. It is my absolute favorite series. It took my emotions on a rollercoaster ride that no other series has done, and if an author is so talented to tap into so many of my emotions, her books are worthy of being a favorite.
Succubus Revealed picks up shortly after the end of Succubus Shadows. Georgina and Seth are *FINALLY* together, and it looks like all might be right in their world. Sure, they constantly have to strive to make sure that they don’t upset the balance of all things Heaven and Hell (or shorten Seth’s life *too* much), but they are succeeding and things are looking up. However, Hell does have other plans, and before they know it, Georgina is being transferred to Las Vegas, and because Seth is spending a lot of his time with his family while his sister-in-law, Andrea, is being treated for cancer, it looks like forces will be keeping Georgina and Seth apart. Fortunately, Roman makes it his mission to help Georgina figure out just what is going on.
I loved this book from start to finish. In true Mead form, it begins with the hilarity that often ensues with a get together of Georgina’s immortal friends, beginning with a simple fondue dinner at Peter’s, which hysterically includes Carter and boxed wine, and morphs into something even sillier as Jerome tells them they will be forming a bowling team. But it doesn’t take long for Hell’s nefarious ways to take hold, taking all measures to keep Seth and Georgina apart. They are strong, though…they do have a connection that will always bring them back together…and they take it a day at a time, trying to figure out how they can remain together.
Because everything keeping them apart seems so much more than chance, Roman takes it upon himself to dig into it and figure out why Georgina can’t catch a break. Roman truly was the hero in this book. After his research and deduction, he found a way to figure out what was going on with Georgina’s contract, and how Seth may be involved in it somehow. This is when the emotional rollercoaster began its tumultuous ride. Roman figured out Seth’s history and how it melds into Georgina’s. And while most readers, including myself, knew what would come to light, Mead wrote this part in such a way as to make the reader anxious and excited for the revelation regardless. But it was this revelation that led to the rest of the flurry of emotions felt while reading a Mead work…sadness, upset, anger, and heartbreak. Ahhhh….things are always so tough for poor Georgina and Seth…
Roman stayed true to being Georgina’s advocate, though, and figured out exactly how the contracts were problematic. And it was all due to him, this beautifully, selfless nephillim, that all was righted in the end. And, of course, in order to save Seth from a fate he hadn’t even known about, Georgina, too, make selfless decision that puts Seth first and foremost.
Also, next to Roman being the hero of this book, stood Carter. Fucking angel he may be, but a beautiful, glorious, guiding angel he is. At one point in this book, I was wracked with tears and sobs, and it was all because of Carter. Fucking {beautiful} angel.
There were a couple of thoughts and questions that I had while reading this book, but none of them were enough to mark this finale any less than the 5 stars it deserves. My first thought was My second thought was what was up with Bastien? I wish she would have explored this a little bit more. The third is . The last, but one of the most important, was that this book was entirely too short! I love Georgina, I love Seth, I love Roman, and I love G’s immortal gang. I would have loved to have seen more of them.
While Mead has said that she doesn’t currently have any plans in store for a spinoff of this series, she definitely left an option open to do so. I know that I am NOT alone when I say that I hope she takes advantage of it and does so.
All in all, Georgina and Seth had their problems, of that, there is no doubt. But they truly were soulmates, and their love transcended all time and all obstacles. At the end of the day, it was great to read about a relationship that had its problems, some of which seemed insurmountable, but still able to overcome them. Additionally, it was refreshing to read about flawed characters who were not necessarily 100% alpha. Yes, we all love those alpha males, but it is great every now in then to read about a male who doesn’t quite meet the definition of alpha in its truest form, and still get the girl, especially when he’s as damn cute and sexy geeky as Seth.

However, Hell does have other plans, and before they know it, Georgina is being transferred to Las Vegas, and because Seth is spending a lot of his time with his family while his sister-in-law, Andrea, is being treated for cancer, it looks like forces will be keeping Georgina and Seth apart. Fortunately, Roman makes it his mission to help Georgina figure out just what is going on.
I loved this book from start to finish. In true Mead form, it begins with the hilarity that often ensues with a get together of Georgina’s immortal friends, beginning with a simple fondue dinner at Peter’s, which hysterically includes Carter and boxed wine, and morphs into something even sillier as Jerome tells them they will be forming a bowling team. But it doesn’t take long for Hell’s nefarious ways to take hold, taking all measures to keep Seth and Georgina apart. They are strong, though…they do have a connection that will always bring them back together…and they take it a day at a time, trying to figure out how they can remain together.
Because everything keeping them apart seems so much more than chance, Roman takes it upon himself to dig into it and figure out why Georgina can’t catch a break. Roman truly was the hero in this book. After his research and deduction, he found a way to figure out what was going on with Georgina’s contract, and how Seth may be involved in it somehow. This is when the emotional rollercoaster began its tumultuous ride. Roman figured out Seth’s history and how it melds into Georgina’s. And while most readers, including myself, knew what would come to light, Mead wrote this part in such a way as to make the reader anxious and excited for the revelation regardless. But it was this revelation that led to the rest of the flurry of emotions felt while reading a Mead work…sadness, upset, anger, and heartbreak. Ahhhh….things are always so tough for poor Georgina and Seth…
Roman stayed true to being Georgina’s advocate, though, and figured out exactly how the contracts were problematic. And it was all due to him, this beautifully, selfless nephillim, that all was righted in the end. And, of course, in order to save Seth from a fate he hadn’t even known about, Georgina, too, make selfless decision that puts Seth first and foremost.
Also, next to Roman being the hero of this book, stood Carter. Fucking angel he may be, but a beautiful, glorious, guiding angel he is. At one point in this book, I was wracked with tears and sobs, and it was all because of Carter. Fucking {beautiful} angel.
There were a couple of thoughts and questions that I had while reading this book, but none of them were enough to mark this finale any less than the 5 stars it deserves. My first thought was My second thought was what was up with Bastien? I wish she would have explored this a little bit more. The third is . The last, but one of the most important, was that this book was entirely too short! I love Georgina, I love Seth, I love Roman, and I love G’s immortal gang. I would have loved to have seen more of them.
While Mead has said that she doesn’t currently have any plans in store for a spinoff of this series, she definitely left an option open to do so. I know that I am NOT alone when I say that I hope she takes advantage of it and does so.
All in all, Georgina and Seth had their problems, of that, there is no doubt. But they truly were soulmates, and their love transcended all time and all obstacles. At the end of the day, it was great to read about a relationship that had its problems, some of which seemed insurmountable, but still able to overcome them. Additionally, it was refreshing to read about flawed characters who were not necessarily 100% alpha. Yes, we all love those alpha males, but it is great every now in then to read about a male who doesn’t quite meet the definition of alpha in its truest form, and still get the girl, especially when he’s as damn cute and sexy geeky as Seth.

I was eager to find out how this six-book series would end, and I wasn't disappointed in the ending. Even so, this is yet another very hesitant or rounded-up four-star rating because so much of the book didn't feel like it was going anywhere. Reading the moderately pleasant vignettes about Georgina working in the mall as one of the assistants to an alcoholic Santa, Georgina being hectored into bowling in a competition between Jerome's Seattle demons and Nanette's Portland demons, or her visits to the Mortenson family in their time of sadness--well, the Mortenson daughters were a bright spot, but otherwise I just kept asking myself how this could be leading to a six-book finale that would wrap up all the drama of the previous instalments.
To be sure, chapters 3-4 introduce the central plot. No spoiler here because the publisher's blurb, printed as the lead on this Goodreads page, reveals that Georgina is being relocated to Las Vegas, and the thinking is that the Hellish powers may be doing it to pull her away from Seth, whose family obligations will keep him in Seattle. So I thought, here we go. But no, vignette after vignette ensued, and only at chapter 13 did the real story get off the ground, a little beyond the halfway mark (page 152 in this edition).
So this book may require even more patience from the reader than the interminable dream sequences in its predecessor (for that, see https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...). Once the second half is under way, though, there's major twist after major twist, and what I thought was the structure of Georgina's world suddenly becomes something quite different. Others have said they saw many of the twists coming and berate Richelle Mead for planting "obvious" clues--I saw them all right, but they weren't that obvious to me because I could see lots of alternatives. And there's some significant new world-building in the way demons, humans, and even angels relate to each other. All of that in the second half of this book, better known as spoiler territory.
It's true that, as the climactic episode begins, there's really only one way it could turn out for Georgina that wouldn't leave readers feeling cheated, but the near impossibility of it creates effective suspense in place of looming tragedy. It was exciting for me anyway. And once again, just as in the previous instalment, I need to warn you that there will be heartbreak along with a good solid resolution of the whole series.

En fin, amo estos personajes. Hace tiempo que no leo una serie de fantasía urbana que me enganche-- en el año, abandoné al menos seis. (Pero las voy a retomar porque extraño el género demasiado!)

Can not wrap my head around this enough to do a real review, so I will get to it tomorrow.
I laughed, I cried, I rejoiced, I mourned. Mysteries were solved. So much happened, both good and bad. THIS is how a series should end.
Richelle Mead has done it again. She has such an incredible voice. The only thing that stinks about all of this is now I have to wait several months for the final book in the Dark Swan series. Getting to read both Bloodlines and Succubus Revealed within one week of each other was such a treat. Now I'm going to go into withdrawal.
