I came across this book on a blog about social media, the review was great so I had to purchase a copy for myself. As a small business myself and offering social media management to clients I felt I needed to read this book, just to confirm I was on the right track. Although I have been using social media for many years, I still found some great advice in this book and followed some of the author's suggestions.

It's very well written and easy to follow, the sections are clear and you can easily skip to parts you need help on. I found the book so useful I organised a giveaway on my blog with this book as the prize.

A great book for a small business or individual just starting out in social media who wants to get ahead and gain fans and followers quickly without making too many mistakes. I wish I had this book when I first started my business. I will certainly be recommending this book to all my clients who are just starting out with social media.

First few chapters discussed different social medias. It's a great book if you know nothing about social media & need a great intro & foundation. Found the chapters on blogging useful and informative.

Zero to 100,000 is a beginner’s guide to social media. In particular, small business owners or artists will find the book useful. There are several how to sections about setting up accounts on Twitter, Facebook, LinkIn, YouTube, etc. This includes a few tips on how to make the most of your profile and how to make the most of each social media aspect.

At the heart of your online presence is your website or blog. Thus, the purpose of your social media activity is to drive traffic. For this reason, statistics are extremely useful for determining what you are doing right and where you are going wrong. They can also be useful to help you connect with the right people who will help you attract others who might be interested in your blog.

I'm not sure If I am comfortable giving this book a two because it does have lots of great info in it. However most of that info is in the form of general advice rather that actionable tips and tricks as the title suggests. Thought the layout is broken up with sub headings and lists I find it almost too busy, it claims to have a "10 step plan to social media stardom" and though this info is included, it is not set out in a way that you can flick through the steps and easily see the actions to take at a glance.

Great book, did not go into much details yet concentrated on the how-to start an account instead on the how-to utilize the platform.
