Though Short, A Lot Wrong

This is a very quick-read novella. I don't have a problem with shorter stories as long as they are well written. Unfortunately, this book was not well done. The author had some peculiar quirks of grammar, punctuation, and usage. I did receive a PDF ARC copy, but the problems persist in the small preview that I looked at on Amazon. The book also suffered from a multi-part information dump near the beginning. Even in a shorter story, backstory and present situations can be woven in more deftly if the author takes the time. I also thought the book was a bit overdramatic, bordering on melodrama at times. Not my favorite kind of romance. Unfortunately, I have found this particular series to be a disappointment, even though I was so intrigued by the lighthouse theme, and I loved the idea of having female lighthouse keepers, as was in a few of the books, which would not have been common at all in those times (usually not even allowed).

I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.

A lost love finds its way home.
Because of a technical problem, I did not get to read this arc but the author was kind enough to send me a link for her book. I have enjoyed each book I have in this series and this one is an excellent addition. Vanessa lost Adam and has been alone for close to a year just her and her son. Then an old friend shows up back into her life. She believes one thing but because she does not have all the information she is wrong. The misunderstanding is not cleared up till the end of the book, but I liked the ending. This is a quick read but I loved the characters except for the shark he was just mean. Thank you to the author for sending a copy of her book. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

This was indeed a very enjoyable read. The story was well-written and flowed nicely. The plot was interesting and had some plot twists and turns that made this an interesting and intriguing story. The characters of Vanessa and Caleb were strong, believable, and well-developed. The author did a nice job of bringing this story to life with her vivid descriptions and well-developed scenes. I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to reading more by this author.

I enjoyed this brothers best friend romance. The lighthouse theme is always fun and unique with some anxieties. I liked how each chapter had verses from A Ship at Sea.

I enjoyed this short story. Vanessa, the heroine of a lighthouse saving the man who was her enemy and caused her husband's death. Without giving anything away, there was a nice ending. This was well written, believable. I really liked it.
